I've been to Itzmi several times over the years and every meal I've eaten there has always been delicious

I have eaten here quite a few times. In fact, In fact it's my go to spot when I'm in this neighborhood. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. It's a very nice atmosphere. There is ample seating and a clean and comfortable environment. Their food is solid. I love their gyoza. they are fried to perfection. Their sushi is always on point. Usually get the Arizona Sunset roll, a tuna roll and futomaki. I have tried the chicken Bulgogi, and some other rolls. I look forward to coming back and try more items on the menu. read more

Calling all sweet potato lovers! This place has really good sweet potato rolls! The chicken teriyaki was also pretty good, and they gave us a pineapple dessert after. They decorate the plate so cute as well, and the service has always been great. This is a cute little hidden place I would definitely try if you're in the area. read more

Had lite lunch appetizer only and requested food to go only to see when arrived home shortage of appetizer chichen wings. When called the restaurant hem & hod trying to say why their was a shortage....I ate paid 75.00. Plus tip..and my take home was short. NO MORE NEVER GOING BACK .DONE FINISH. 2.5 stars for their SUSHI ONLY. The rice was soggy, the fish to rice ratio was not good as it was mostly the soggy rice, it seems like they don't know how to make good sushi. I would never order a roll from there again. Much better places in the area. And this was my second time giving their sushi a try. Their cooked food - kitchen food is good though. Cute authentic place for sushi and ramen located in an unassuming mall with plenty of parking. Started with their delicious shogun wings that came out hot and crispy. Tried a variety of rolls, Gonjo sake, and tempura. Everything was delivered with a nice presentation and the service was super friendly. read more

Itzmi is our regular sushi place, and we have yet to find anything better in the Hudson Valley. The ingredients they use are always fresh, and of high quality. We were weekly regulars for quite some time, and they even gifted us a bottle of saki around the holidays last year. We have been getting takeout more in the last year instead of dining in, and whether I pick up or my husband, they always ask how the other is doing. Definitely the best sushi in the area, and we are lucky to live so close. read more

Me and my husband were driving up north and decided to take a pit stop and eat. I am so glad we stumbled upon this place because the experience was amazing! Their sushi and miso soup is extremely delicious and very fairly priced! The chefs and staff were very kind and attentive. The entire place was really clean and sanitized, including the bathroom which I appreciate. I loved the aesthetic decor in the seating area, as well as the bathroom, which added such a nice ambiance. This place is truly a hidden gem for sushi in Newburgh. When you pull up, it doesn't look like much from the outside. As soon as you walk into the restaurant, it's a different experience entirely. Fresh fish, good preparation, and very, very friendly staff and employees. They also offer gluten free options, including soy sauce. Yummy food and nice ambience. My waitress was very kind which is a big deal to me. It is pricey compared to what else is locally offered but it is a more intimate setting with higher quality fish and better formed rolls so the higher prices are earned. I do prefer these smaller quality oriented sushi places as opposed to the giant "sushi malls" that bring people in and out super fast while throwing together pretty sloppy rolls at average quality. They make you choose between soup and salad here for the lunch special which is a pet peeve of mine. How much does it really cost to offer both? At the end of the day this place has the same appeal to me as yobo but yobo is decorated better . Still a 5 star experience though, high quality food, understandable prices, and great service. read more

Overall great place. Food is excellent sushi is always fresh and the Bento box is just what you need for lunch. As far as prices go pretty fair amongst the other Japanese restaurants. The service is on the slower side because it is owned and operated by a older couple.
