Setting expectations clear since the reviews threw me off. This place is more of a takeout location, lots of options for sushi and chinese food, quick, and definitely more fast food style. I stopped by for lunch since I was in the area and the reviews were fantastic. I ordered the gyoza and Sakura roll which had a bit of an odd description and turned out to be a combo and not a full roll. So the gyoza is deep fried instead of pan fried, decent taste but yeah more like fast food. The "roll" was actually a small salmon roll with a side of salmon and tuna sashimi rolled like flowers. The fish tasted fresh, which is a huge plus in this area because that's been a problem at other places I've tried. Unfortunately the rice and seaweed were not great, so it turned out a bit chewy. The food came on styrofoam plates you toss out. You order and pick up at the counter, and they have clorox wipes available at all the tables. Fresh and quick, good service, but not great sushi all around.

This little gem in a strip mall is amazing. A great find for Hazel Green Meridianville Area when you want great sushi/hibachi/Chinese for a wonderful price. I got the bento box type meal which came with shrimp teriyaki and a California Roll and it was really good. The teriyaki sauce was a little bit thick, but the vegetables and the rice was a great counter balance. The crab rangoons were great as well, but nothing super special about them. I really enjoyed their sushi. I will definitely be back to enjoy lunch or dinner or grab something to go. The customer service was great, very friendly and talkative, you can tell it's a locally owned business which is amazing due to the personalities and friendliness.

So this was interesting one. We took a big group up to Joe Wheeler to look around the park and…read morewere hungry for lunch before we went home. One in our party had been here before and recommended we stop here. This is a restaurant serving both Mexican and Japanese food, though I wouldn't call it fusion. Both are fairly Americanized Mexican and Japanese dishes (think chicken and cheese on rice, and hibachi with all manner of meats and "yum yum" sauce), but it's a large menu and it had something for everyone, so it was a good fit for our quite large group. We arrived not long after opening and so they were able to seat us without any trouble -- I believe there were 11 of us total. The restaurant is large and was somewhat dimly lit but inviting enough. The bathroom was tidy despite being a little stinky. There's a large bar toward the back and it looked like there was space for dancing or musical acts. Service was efficient and friendly and patient with several party members' special requests. They also handled our many separate checks with skill. Chips and salsa came right out. The salsa was actually a highlight for me; it was surprisingly tasty and flavorful with a tiny bit of heat. Better than the average Americanized Mexican food salsa. We got a mix of items, though I think we leaned more heavily Mexican dishes. I got the Pollo Lucy off their relatively affordable lunch special menu. It's your standard chicken, cheese dip, and rice, with bonus salsa verde offered in a small squirt bottle. Although this isn't my preferred "style" of Mexican food, this was fairly good for what it was, particularly the chicken. It had a pleasant texture and was well cooked and seasoned. The rice, unfortunately, was overcooked and quite mushy and flavorless. Fortunately, that's where the copious amount of cheese dip comes in handy, lol. I liked the salsa verde and shared it with another dining companion who needed a little more umph in the taco salad she ordered. No one really raved about the food but no one really complained, either, hence the so so rating. I do appreciate the accommodations they made to ensure the two younger kids in our party would have something they liked to eat (making a plain bean burrito, serving plain cheese dip over rice, etc). That was really nice of them. Again, not really my preferred "style" of Mexican OR Japanese food for that matter, but solid enough, especially given the relative dearth of options in the area.

The food was really good and the service was awesome. They brought chips and salsa to the table as most Mexican restaurants do. There weren't any Japanese appetizers but they do serve Japanese entrees. I had the Chili Relleno with rice and beans. My husband had the mixed vegetable Teriyaki. Both entrees were very good. Service was quick and the staff were very friendly. I would definitely eat here again
