Where do I start? This was a terrible experience. I went to the now closed location in Upland one time. My massage was only ok, but decided to give Sakura another shot when I received a text message offering 2 massages for $44. My friend and I had appointments at the same time, but my treatment started 7 minutes later. Not a big deal, except that the time was not made up to me. Before the treatment we were asked what areas needed focus. My therapist fell into her routine, and completely ignored my requests. She spent a ridiculous amount of time massaging my head, tangling and frizzing my curly hair! I asked for medium to deep pressure, but received an incredibly light massage. I tried to set my disappointment aside and relax anyway, but between the obnoxious gum smacking from my friend's therapist, the loud conversations coming from the employee lounge, and my therapist continually walking away, I became more and more disappointed. When our treatments were over, the receptionist asked about our massages, and I didn't even feel comfortable replying because my therapist was hovering around waiting for her tip! I think I should mention that other than the loud gum chewing, my friend really liked her therapist. read more

This is your typical massage place (not erotic) where you can get a super cheap "Chinese massage" for $25 an hour. By that I mean it's not going to be amazing but "it'll do." I'm pretty certain most people come here for the foot massage which includes treatment to other parts of your body also. Like all other massage places, it is expected that you tip after the massage. When I finished my massage here, my therapist walked me to the front desk and I could tell in her eyes that she was expecting a tip. Right before that it seemed obvious that she was giving me "extra time" (by sitting me up and working on my shoulders/neck) in addition to the paid hour likely so I would tip a higher amount. Normally, they don't do this. Possibly it was because I was the last customer of the day. But honestly, it's a Chinese place which low prices that initially brought me here and I came to spend cheap. 15% of $25 is only $3.75 so $5 is plenty much for tip. read more

This is a very nice place. The people working their are very qualified. Sunny is the owner and she's born in China, her family owns a business for massage over there and she has learned from them. She knows her pressure points and has excellent experience with relaxation. I usually have a lot of issues with tightness and knots in my back. My back will usually take up to 2 hours and she makes it worth every minute. My family and I have been going here since they opened and have had great experiences until today. We made appointments and found out when we arrived that our gift cards were expired and they would not honor them. The lady working the front was a bit rude and stern talking to us. They were completely empty and made their employees loose out on tips that they could have earned from us. Today is my third time coming to this place and l had another relaxing time with the therapist named Nina! I always schedule for a private room with my friend and we both love coming here. Since my feet are really sensitive so l always do the body massage for $45 and hour and my friend likes the combo for $30 with half hour for the feet and half hour for your body. Not expensive! During the massage, Nina always ask for how l am feeling instead of just doing it blindly, which made me feel like she cares about how customers feel and how she is doing. Great place to get a tension relieving massage without going to a full spa and changing. They have options for a full body and foot massage combo which they claim to specialize in reflexology and foot massage... The body massage was wonderful and relaxing, until it came to the foot massage as they wash your feet which is great but then proceed to massage your feet but not before putting gloves on??? At first I was thinking, "Dang, I must need a pedicure already? Just got one!" But nope they do this all the time. Let me first say that I've been here many times and it has been great. But the last time this Friday morning was the worst ever. I was the 1st customer and I think the receptionist did my massage. She stopped 5 times to take care of people coming in and answer the phone. She didn't act like she cared about my massage. My husband and I made same day couples massage appointments. You have to be very quiet as you enter because the feet reflexology stations are right next to the front desk. They do ask for payment first( $80 for 60min for 2). We did have to wait about 15 minutes after our appointment, but that was no problem for us, it was a holiday. We both got full body oil massages. I had Michael and Yoyo was my husbands masseuse. Michael did a great job and found all the knots I did not know I had. He's very effective with his elbow and forearm technique. I would recommend him. Saturday night, me and my husband walked in around 8:00 and were greeted with warm smiles. Honestly by far one of the best massages I've gotten yet. I paid for the $40 for 1 hour massage and from start to finish it was amazing. I suffer with muscle aches and I usually don't get massages as some places don't know what they are doing however Micheal got to all my problem areas. I skipped on the foot massage and asked for full body. My favorite part was after the oil rub they gave us a hot towel rub. AMAZZZING. I really enjoy this place! Nice and relaxing. Just make sure to wear the appropriate clothing so that you can really enjoy the experience. I have been coming to this place for more than 3 years. They were able to fix the pain on my upper body and lower body. The spa is dimly lit and the atmosphere is very serene and relaxed. I go once a month and am satisfied with the service, given their price.

I was happy that I was able to make a same day appointment, but being asked to pay and a tip before I received my massage was weird to me, they must have been burned a few times on cards not going through. Neither my husband or myself were asked if how soft/ deep of a massage we wanted or any place we'd like them to concentrate on.
