They originally installed a new bumper for my car approx. 2yrs ago. They stated at the time that as long as I own my vehicle and something goes wrong regarding the bumper, they would fix any problem. I brought in my car yesterday due to 2 problems with the bumper. They had to take the bumper off, repaint it, etc, then re-install it via re-clamping the bumper, which was the second of my 2 problems. They did all this right away because I picked up my car today and the bumper looks great. They are true to their word. read more

I'm very picky about auto body shops let me just say this first. I was just recently in an accident. I was able to find out the drivers insurance company. They said the closets shop was this auto body shop. I brought my car to check it out and see if I would leave it here to have the work down. Just because of the service and kindness everyone showed me and the honesty about the work to be done. I decided to let them do the work. I'm not disappointed at all. When I got in the car i saw this little bottle of paint and I thought they had left it in my car by accident. Just my luck when I showed the owner he told me "no, that's for you. In case you have any scratch that's to touch up the paint." I was so shock that they actually gave this to me. As they say it's the little things that count the most in the world. I went to Sal and Son to replace my back bumper because of a dent. I was greeted by Phil and Mario who were extremely accommodating and made sure all of my questions were answered. They truly are respectful people. They listen to you and take the time to explain everything to you. They make sure you understand what needs to be done. Between Mario Nigel and John this team of workers are amazing.. I was referred by someone who hit my car months ago and they did an amazing job then.. Recently someone hit my car while parked damaging the whole front and these guys took care of me from my first call!! My car came out of their shop looking BRAND NEW!! Went to Sal & Son since they are in Hartford insurance's network as being an authorized estimator and repairer. They were pretty quick in working with insurance to get an estimate and make the repair. They were a few days late on their estimated repair time, but not a big deal. The resulting body repair was good quality.Based on this so far, I would have given them a 4 star. However, here comes the problem. Just a week after they finished repair, we took the car to a mechanic for annual inspection. I was told that a part in the suspension on the right side (the side of the accident) was cracked, and was most likely the result of the accident. When we went back to Sal & Son, they didn't want to take responsibility, and claimed it could be a preexisting condition. Well, sure, anything is possible, but the suspension was fine when inspected a year ago, we drove very few miles, only had 1 accident that Sal & Son repaired, so it is unlikely it was a preexisting condition. More importantly, Sal & Son never told us about the suspension problem when they inspected, so clearly they didn't check the car out well. In any case, it cost another $400 out of pocket for us repair the crack Sal & Son missed. read more
