Food was just amazing. Service was that of a diner and very upbeat. Ambience made me feel like i was back up north, lol but in a good way.

My old favorite New York style pizza restaurant from the time I was a kid--Pisa Pizza--recently closed, and my family was devastated. Coming "back home" to visit my family this month, I searched for the best NY pizza in Orlando and up came Sal's Pizza Bar. We decided to stop in yesterday for lunch, and opened the doors to a casual, comfortable ambiance. We approached the counter where we were met by a sweet staff member and ordered a few things to share. We got a house salad with Italian dressing, a penne alla vodka pasta, and a NY cheese pizza (18" round). The salad was crisp and refreshing, perfect for a warm summer late afternoon. The pasta was creamy and tasty, and was super saucy which I love. The main attraction, our classic pizza, affectionately known in NY as an "orange slice" was absolutely perfect. The crust held up so nicely and didn't flop... the cheese was salty and delicious... the sauce was light and savory... and the oil dripping off made it feel that much more authentic. We loved everything, and felt our already high expectations were somehow exceeded. We will definitely be back to try more!

There's always talk about WHERE IN FLORIDA can you find actual NEW YORK style PIZZA! And let me just say Sal's pizza is 10/10 Everything looked so good I ordered the Vodka pizza which is literally my fav. It was EVERYTHING, fresh, hot, cheesepull , saucey, crisp bottom & crust. 100000% just SOOOO good! I will definitely return !!!!

Stopped in for dinner after visiting Walt Disney World. Ordered the 6 garlic knots to start since they said it would be about 30 minutes for the pizza. The knots had plenty of garlic, but could have been warmer. Ordered the meat lovers pizza, which is a medium. The pizza has bacon, pepperoni and sausage slices (lengthwise). The flavor was good and the pepperoni has some spice. I would have liked it cooked a little longer. But, since it was my first time dining, did not know to ask. The dining area was packed. They have one long table and a few other smaller ones. If you sit at the long table, you will be dining with others. There is a tv in the bar area.

Probably the best pizza I've had! PERIOD!!! The folks at the restaurant are amazing. Very friendly and so humble. Sal is actually working be hind the former and we spoke for a minute. The food is so good. If you are in the area, YOU HAVE TO STOP BY AND EAT!!!!

I think we found one of our new pizza spots in Orlando! Sal's is in a new-feeling plaza, a smaller building but still a good amount of seating, both indoor and outdoor. We wanted to try a few things, so we started with the garlic knots and a slice of vodka pizza! The garlic knots had a lot of garlic on them (the best way to be) and were cute and small! The vodka slice was a big hit - I'm not normally a huge vodka slice gal, but it was really great! The cheese was so fresh and the crust was a perfect texture. The 2 full size pizzas we got were great as well; the pepperoni and hot honey was classic and the prosciutto and arugula pizza had a good mix of ingredients without being all arugula. Again, the crust and cheese are standouts here! The slices are thin without being too floppy. Service was prompt and polite, and I can't wait to come back!

Friends told me about this place. After 4 days of mega con . Me and my buddy were HUNGRY. Came here and got the 18 inch vodka sauce and buratta pizza. Absolutely amazing. Definitely coming back here

Came here for the first time last week, got the cheese pizza, and it was a good New York style pie. Pizza was thin, large slices, and tasted pretty close to New York pizza. The inside of the place was really cool. They had a brick oven that you can see how they make the pizza. Staff was nice, but the weight was pretty long.

So I stroll into Sal's Pizza Bar in Orlando because apparently every local within a 10-mile radius has decided it is their personal mission to tell me, "YOU HAVE TO TRY THE UPSIDE-DOWN SICILIAN." When strangers start giving you pizza instructions with the intensity of a flight attendant during turbulence, you go. Right away, the staff is super friendly--like, "if you need anything, even emotional support, we got you" friendly. The menu is enormous. I'm convinced Sal printed it on a scroll somewhere in the back and they just keep adding items like it's a medieval prophecy. The atmosphere screams Brooklyn comes to Orlando in a pizza place. Nice. The food: First up: the classic cheese slice. Thin crust, nice flop, enough oil sliding down my arm to moisturize me for the next three days. This is the kind of slice where you instinctively fold it even if you're not from New York. The only issue? It wasn't hot. It was the temperature of pizza that's been sitting in a conversation too long. Tasty--but it had "warming tray trust issues." Then the upside-down Sicilian arrives. Cheese on the bottom, sauce on top. Basically a Sicilian slice that wanted to cosplay as Chicago deep dish but didn't want to fully commit. Thick, bready, saucy, the kind of slice that could double as a self-defense weapon if needed. Flavor? Really good. Hotness level? Eh... more "warm hug" than "fresh out of the oven." Overall, Sal's is a cool spot. Tons of options, great people, solid pizza. But the hype had me expecting a spiritual awakening. I was ready for a slice to float down from the ceiling while an Italian grandmother whispered blessings in the background. Instead, I got "very good, slightly lukewarm pizza," which drops my rating from a celestial five to a practical four. Still worth checking out--just ask them to serve it hot enough that you briefly question whether touching it was a mistake.

I've heard too many good things about this place that I had to make the 45 minute drive to check it out for myself. We walk in and the place is poppin', the case is filled with deliciousness and I felt like a kid in a candy shop... but even better, a pizza shop! I wished they would've had labels for each of their pizzas but the person helping us was kind enough to quickly go through everything with us. You can also order pastas, whole pizzas, etc. We decided to grab a few slices, garlic knots, a spinach pin wheel and everything was so so good! Honestly you can't go wrong with anything, I would literally try a new pizza every time I came because I love that they offer unique slices.

In town for a quick get away and decided it's pizza night for the big UM v/s Notre Dame 2025 College Season (go CANES!!!). We ordered a 18" meat lovers pizza, 12 garlic rolls and mozzarella sticks. The food was fresh, tasted great and was ready on time. The restaurant was packed and the foods was being cranked out. Nice place to eat and do a take out orders. The prices were fair and worth it.

This place is amazing! I tries two different pizzas: the pepperoni and the upside down scilian, which were both were equally as good. The pepperoni has a thin but crisp crust with a good amount of cheese and toppings on it! The crust is delightful. The upside down scilian is a must try! Think focaccia bread but in pizza form. Very light and tasty. All ingredients were fresh and tastes even better the next day!

    Liz S.

I've been back a few times and service has improved greatly. Never have a complaint about the pizza. Recently stopped in for a vodka and marg slice, and they were great. They did have live music that day, but in my opinion, the space is too small for this so we opted to sit outside.

Our servers, Leslie and Alex were great! Leslie has the personality you pray for when you're celebrating a special occasion. We were blessed to have her. My only complaint, and this was super minor, the table space was tight. We had a party of 7 and it felt like we were stacked on top of the other tables. A couple of trips to the bathroom for the kids felt like a task. Once seated, we were fine, but the endless "excuse me's" was inconvenient. Overall, I'm glad we spent the afternoon at Maggiano's. The Alfredo sauce was incredible, albeit a little watery. The picture may not show it well, but there was a scoop of it right on top of the chicken, and it was really good. As the hostess walked away from our table, she commented that our group was going to be "nothing but a problem." The basis for that assumption? One member of our party had simply helped clear and organize the table to make the seating process easier and faster for the staff. Yes, we were a lively group. We were on vacation, having a great time at Disney, laughing and enjoying each other's company. What we were not was intoxicated. The situation escalated when one of our friends was accused of being drunk and our entire party of 10 was asked to leave. The problem is that she wasn't intoxicated at all. What makes this especially troubling is that our friend has worked incredibly hard to maintain her sobriety and recently celebrated 12 months alcohol-free through AA. To be publicly accused of being drunk after reaching such a significant milestone was humiliating, heartbreaking, and completely unnecessary. When we brought our concerns to the General Manager, Scott, we expected leadership. We expected someone who would take a moment to assess the situation, listen to both sides, and use his own judgment. Instead, he simply stated that he trusted his employees and made no effort to independently evaluate what had happened. A manager's job isn't to blindly accept accusations. A manager's job is to gather facts, assess the situation, and make informed decisions. In this case, Scott failed to do that. As a result, the restaurant lost a party of 10 customers. More importantly, they deeply hurt someone who has spent the last year fighting for her sobriety. That's the part of this experience we won't forget. Everyone makes mistakes. Great restaurants acknowledge them, learn from them, and treat people with dignity. Unfortunately, this experience was defined by assumptions, poor judgment, and a complete lack of empathy from both the staff and management.
