They also came back on another day and polished to an amazing factory shine (See After photos). Sal even repaired one of my gloss black rims that I scratched on the curb. It looks brand new again. They respond promptly (under an hour between replies) and are very honest - something that I've come to find rare in the automotive industry. After scheduling a consultation, they drove to my apartment complex, provided a free assessment, and made a variety of suggestions based on my needs. What I loved most about the interaction is their confidence in explaining the repair process and the differences between each suggestion. I value this a lot in small businesses because it goes to show that they care about their clients first before making a quick buck. You get what you pay for and Mary and Sal make sure that you are confident in your decision. If you choose to shop elsewhere, which I did for peace of mind, I came to find that other repair shops not only charged more than Sal and Mary but also were less transparent in how they would repair my car - from the paint quality used to the repair process and service warranty. On the day of my scheduled repair date, I met Sal and Mary at a nearby shop and they were able to repaint my bumper and restore it to 100% new condition within a matter of 4 - 5 hours. Generally, they offer mobile repair but given the pandemic, I chose to meet elsewhere. After my car was finished, they were kind enough to drop my car back off at my apartment. Consistent with other reviews, I was pleased to know that the job was not finished at the point by which I had my car back. Sal requested my availability so that he could come back to my apartment in 2 weeks to polish the entire car. My car got hit from behind and needed a small spot retouched on the bumper. My husband head used Sal many years ago and didn't have his contact info so I yelped it and found the company. Mary text me asking if I could provide photos of the work that needed to be done. After several text messages of my many questions and Mary graciously answering them all I decided to make an appointment with her. There was also another spot on the car that needed some attention that they needed to look at in person to be able to give me a quote for. Mary texted me the night before to remind me of the appointment which I always appreciate. Sal and Mary arrived at our house right at 8am as planned. They asked the day prior to have the driveway available for them to work in. They pulled their work truck up to our house and had all the equipment needed for the job. They are both super nice and friendly. My husband spoke with them about what needed to be done and they gave us a quote for the original bumper work and the other work that needed to be done. We agreed to the quote and they started working right away. They were able to color match the factory color by code right out of their truck. Due to the additional work needing to have bondo applied and dried for several days we made another appointment for them to come back and finish. They asked for half the money when they left the first day and said we would pay the balance when the work was finished on the next appointment. I needed to borrow some money from my daughter's wallet because I didn't make it to the bank on time before they left the first visit. I accidnely paid them with a bill that my daughter wanted to save. I text Mary and asked if she cut hang on to that bill and that I could Venmo or Zelle them the amount. She said she had kids and completely understood. She said it was no problem and that she would bring it back on the next visit which she did. The second visit was just as prompt and complete as the first day. They came in on time, did the work and left with a beautiful job done. I found their ad on Nextdoor and so glad I found them. Local body shops were giving me $800-$1200 estimates for some paint scratches on my bumper. They said it would require removal of the bumper and the whole thing needed to be repainted, blah blah. Luckily my car is a Toyota and I didn't need a repair to be "by the book". Anyways, I saw Sal's ad on Nextdoor and contacted them. His wife Mary was very informative and responsive. She handles the business side while Sal works the magic. They came to me to assess the damage and to provide an estimate. You could also go to them if you'd like, I think. They explained everything and provided a paper quote. Sal did a great job on the repair. The pictures speak for themselves. He also did it under the quoted time too. Everybody's situation will be different but we are blown away by Sal's work. You can hardly tell. He was even able to repair the scratches on the black plastic trim below the bumper. Best of all, he charged us a quarter of what the local body shops were estimating and I didn't have to part with my car for more than half a day. They only accept cash or check. I've taken two cars to Sal and both of them were fixed to an immaculate standard! I had an Audi A4 that I leased and someone dinged the bumper, it was fixed within 24 hours and he even tidied up some other parts of it too. My current car is a 2016 Audi S5. I bought it cheap but it needed a lot of cosmetics clean up. The car was covered in paint chips, multiple dents and looked really bad. I had backed my black 2016 BMW X5 into a gate and damaged the back end of the car. I called Sal, texted him a picture, and we agreed on a price, date and time. Sal arrived at my place on time and was great to work with. He has a whole body shop in his van. If you understand body shops a little, you will notice he only uses quality tools and consumables. Even though my cars paint is quite hard to match (Black-Sapphire Metallic #475), Sal's color-matching was nothing short of perfect. Overall, Sal's workmanship was impeccable. I needed to get a sizable dent fixed on my car so I started searching for body shops in my local West LA area. I've gotten my car fixed by a few different body shops over the 5+ years that I've lived in LA, and you really can't find better than Sal. I reached out to Sal via Yelp and I received a very warm response within minutes asking to take a look at the car in person. Maria (Sal's wife and business partner) texted me to arrange a time for them to come out to assess the damage on my car. They came out to me at 8PM on a Friday evening, when most body shops told me they couldn't even see my car for another few days. Maria texted me after they looked at the car and gave me an estimate. She was so kind and assured me that the damage was only cosmetic, and they could take care of it for me next week. Not to mention, they gave me a rate that was one fourth (1/4) of the cost of every other body shop in the area. They ordered the car part for me and arranged to come to me the following Friday.
