If you're looking for dressing soup then this is your place. The amount of dressing they put is extremely excessive. It's pretty pricey to not get a good salad. I had to pat the salad with paper towels several times as shown in the pictures. I did not enjoy it and it was disgusting to be honest. Didn't have the time to take it back so I had to extrapolate the lettuce and topping from all the dressings. Also in the picture you see the pool of dressing still sitting at the bottom. I never gave this place a chance until my last semester. One of my biggest college regrets cause this place is awesome! So many options to mix & match from but I always getting the same exact thing every time. Try the Thai Crunch Salad Wrap with both sesame and spicy peanut sauce and add cilantro. THANK ME LATER! If they would change from pickled jalapeños to fresh jalapeños I'd probably add those in too! read more

I had dinner in here for the first time last week, after hearing all the hoopla at how amazing it is. The location is very convenient since it is located on Florida International University's campus, and I have class here once a week. Located across from the School of Social Work, Salad Creations had it's own private store section, away from the hustle n bustle of the busy cafeteria where Dunkin Donuts and Chik fil A are. As soon as I walked in, I checked in of course, and received a $2 check-in offer off of any salad. I decided to order the Thai salad, as it has my favorite peanut dressing. I ordered a small. The girl behind the counter was very nice, and had it made within minutes. She wasn't too familiar with the check-in offer, but gave it to me anyways. The salad was decent, but I did not like the lettuce used. It was made with ice berg, which is not a very crunchy salad. I should have switched it for another. I have had better salad's, but this place is nice if you are on campus looking for a quick lunch or dinner, and want something healthy. I would definitely give it another try. read more

Let me start by saying -- it's pretty pricey. BUT.... I think the food is very good and I love the fact that they're 1 of only 4 places on campus that delivers. I had low expectations for this "salad" place, but I'm glad I gave it a try. I usually have the Chipotle BBQ Chicken wrap and it's so good! Packed with lots of ingredients, big, fresh, a little spicy, and just very good. My wrap + $1.50 delivery charge (my office on campus is WAY too far to walk in the scorching Miami sun) is nearly $11. I ordered a chicken Caesar wrap and it was pretty expensive for the amount of food I received. I think it was $11 (no drink) and I was still hungry. The lettuce didn't feel as fresh and my wrap was filled more with Croutons than chicken. I'll maybe give it another try since it's the only thing healthy to eat on campus. -So I tried it again 4/26/16 And it was actually pretty good, the food came out to $9.50 less than last time and his time I ordered chips so I think when I went before they made a mistake. The wrap was very fresh, it depends on the staff i guess, I'm glad I gave it another try because I'm obsessed! Not giving it a 5 star because I do think it's a bit overpriced and I'm a college student balling on a budget. I gotta relax with the amount of money I spend on food. But must try it ! read more

This place is sooo good! I hadn't been here since the summer, and I regret it so much. This is the best food option on campus, I hate that it's so far from the main buildings. My favorite thing to get here is the buffalo chicken caesar salad, it's also taste so good as a wrap. I love the spinach wrap!! There soups are also declious, and they let you taste them for free. I'm obsessed with their shrimp chowder and their chicken tortilla soup. I honestly don't think that it is pricey at all, because you get a full salad for $10 which is the same you are going to pay at a fast food place for unhealthy food. I was in the mood for a salad so my husband picked up a custom salad for me. The menu is divided into steps. Step 1: Chose the "Jr. Creation" which is their smaller salad size. It's $4.99 and includes 4 "throw-in" ingredients. Step 2: Chose the spring mix. Step 3: Picked chickpeas, feta (on the side), red onions, black olives, and tomatoes. They didn't charge me extra for the 5th ingredient. Step 4: Added grilled chicken for $2.50 Step 5: Greek Dressing (on the side) Step 6: Had them chop the salad. The salad was fresh, which is really the most important thing I look for in a salad. The grilled chicken was just grilled chicken--I couldn't taste any special seasoning on it. Salad restaurants seem to be a craze of late and why not with everyone trying to eat healthy yet have a meal that tastes good and fills you up for a bit. Here you get a choice of a few different types of leafy greens and tons of toppings. They then put it in a metal bowl, chop and mix it all together for you. I like this part because I often get those sideways looks when I try to shovel the full sized pieces in my face at the usual salad bar. Everything is fresh and the prices are reasonable. Me= love of veggies= fan of salads! I tried this place when it first opened and loved it and now when I went again, the feeling is still there. When my boyfriend and I got there there was a bit of a line and through we weren't in a hurry, I was concerned it would take a while. It didn't! They were quite speedy with the food which was great. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Cesar Salad and boy was it scrumptious! All the protein and fresh veggies and sauce oh and the hot sauce! Yum yum! I will say this, be careful as you eat your way down the bowl, it got spicier for me! My boyfriend ordered the Greekalicious and he was satisfied and liked it. My greens were brown and wilted. That's what prompted the review. For a SALAD place, this is unacceptable. For another place that sells a variety of stuff so their lettuce might go bad before its used, it's ok...maybe. Besides that the flavor was alright but they dont make any of the toppings it so its not really a reflection on them. I had: Custom Junior Salad which includes 4 toppings. I opted for Romaine lettuce and topped it with candied pecans, sliced strawberries, goat cheese and kalamata olives. I added a boiled egg for 59 cents. $8.65 with tax. Definitely isn't anything SPECIAL in terms of a salad... but the price is unbeatable, and the ability to innovate and create your own salad is so cool! It reminds me of college salad bars, which is something I missed about college. I was so tired of having to take whatever safeway had... and in Coral Gables, Whole Foods awesome salad bar is just too far (well, Sunset Place isn't TOO far, but who wants to drive when you can walk!) I won't recommend anything in particular... just make your own! I had garbanzo beans, tofu, chicken, romaine lettuce, pepperocinis, feta cheese, olives and greek salad dressing. Price is pretty high. And I wouldn't mind if the ingredients were truly fresh, but that is not the case. The beets and potatoes are definitely from a can, it's just obvious (and probably the peas and corn as well). I paid $1.50 for the smallest piece of avocado I've ever seen. I could buy an entire avocado for that much. Also, I picked the teriyaki chicken and it tasted like canned tuna. The service was ok. Like always, you're gonna have very kind workers and some that are not so great. But for a place the charges ten times more than McDonald's, you would expect improved customer service as well. Don't think I'll be going back cause who has $10 to spend on a small salad? Gave it two stars cause the food tasted descent, regardless of the fact that it was not 100% fresh. read more

Salad was overdressed, left lettuce (which was not the majority of my salad!!) soggy. Honestly It was a mess that I paid $8 for. I got the buffalo chicken Caesar and and it was just a bad combination of buffalo sauce/chicken, a Caesar salad, and a cobb salad. The combo is honestly disgusting, especially since there was both equal parts caesar dressing and buffalo sauce. There was already enough dressing when they added the caesar dressing!! i LOVE this place!! Salads are always full and fresh but the paninis are my absolute fave. I always get the chicken italiano or the turkey cranberry paninis. There's also plenty of vegetarian and vegan options if you like that. The employees are so nice and remember their repeat customers! It's easy to get here from outside of FIU, it's right off of 8 street. And it's also really easy to get here if you're just trying to get a quick lunch on the FIU campus. Not the best value (low nutrient per dollar ratio) but very tasty. I ordered the buffalo caesar wrap and boy did it hit the spot. Add some kalamatta olives. It's an additional $0.59 for every topping...so that gives you an idea of how the prices go. You can get this wrap with the olives for about eight and a half bucks. read more

I absolutely love this place. I have eaten here several times and my salads are always on point. The manager is so nice she even remembers what I like. Everything is fresh. I love the ginger glaze salmon and the spicy veggie, and you have to try their new vegan cilantro garlic dressing omg its to die for and it's low in calories as I said its vegan, I'm not vegan put I absolutely love it, they make it fresh daily . I'm not a student at FIU anymore but when ever I'm in the area I make sure to stop by for my fix . When I'm extra hungry I order a soup with my salad so far my favorite is the shrimp chowder, I will diff be back soon . read more
