Wide selection of healthier options but way to expensive. For two people for a "dinner" size salad you'll easily spend over $20. The food is decent quality but a lot of the toppings are Sysco brand so nothing special there. The soups and spuds also aren't bad but a full cup of soup is around $5-$6 which is what you'd pay at a moderately nice sit down restaurant. I pulled off interstate 12 to do some laundry and Asked one person if she knew of any place to get a quality salad. She said I work in a "Salad Station." WHAT ARE THE CHANCES? I have all the luck. I created a fabulous plate and felt like it was the first clean food I'd eaten since California. I filled a second plate for the road for breakfast. Thank you to the Manager who gave me directions and the super Cool employees. I called my wife to tell her that this was as close to a home-made-salad as I had in the last two months on the road. I visited this Salad Station with my aunt after a long day of apartment cleaning and loved my meal! Pro-tip there is an educator discount if you bring in your school ID. No matter your salad preferences, Salad Station has plenty of options with greens, vegetables, proteins, dressings and other fixings. Additionally, there are a few soups to choose from, wraps and baked potatoes to have on the side. My salad creation included, spinach, roasted chicken, turkey, corn, carrots, tomatoes (diced and cherry), sunflower seeds, cheese, cucumbers and a few more! I topped it off with some light ranch before grabbing some potato soup to warm me up. It was so good! If you are in need a vegan options, those are available in the forms of other proteins such as beans, chickpeas, etc. If you dine in, you can even ask for your salad to be tossed and chopped for you. Overall, the restaurant space was comfortable and spacious. Restrooms were well kept. Limited outside seating is available for those nice weather days. Parking is limited in the small strip mall the restaurant is located in, so carpool during heavy traffic times. My reason for 4/5 stars is that while I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and all of the options available, there was some issues with utensils in retrieving those fixings. Some tongs/spoons, were missing from different items, which caused me to use the utensils meant for another item on the item I desired to add to my salad. While I do not have any food allergies, I know some friends who have very sensitive stomachs. If they were to use an item that touched something they were allergic to, or do not eat for religious reasons, such as pork, this could cause a major issue. Overall, great experience and I will be sure to visit again! read more

We had a Salad Station recently open up around the corner so I gave it a try today. I walked in and was immediately greeted and directed to the salad bar. For $6.50 a pound you can have as much salad as you want. Be careful as it is very easy to wind up with a $12 salad like I did. lol It's a pretty big bar with about every topping you can think of from meat and veggies to fruit.. They also have a potato bar which is $4. These are some HUGE potatoes and you can choose from cheese sauce, chili, pulled pork and a few other items. I'll be trying that next time as it looked really good! They also offer soups which include potato, creole tomato, french onion, gumbo, etc. Try their enhanced water. It's pretty good. They have strawberry kiwi, tropical and Blueberry Pomegranate Acai. read more

I was stuck for about 10 minutes by the lettuce trying to pick out edible pieces. Lettuce is the majority of your salad. Very very disappointed! Will never be back to this location. read more

About a million years ago (actually 1998), I was living in Tempe, Arizona and had the fortune of eating at a place called Souper Salad. It was a HUGE salad and soup buffet, where you pay a fixed price and eat whatever you like. I remember thinking it would be a good concept for the Northshore. So when I saw Salad Station I was eager to try it, thinking it would be similar. It's not. First, let me address a pet peeve of mine: if you're going to force your opinions on everybody else, make sure you're good at what you're doing. Think Tim Tebow here. Above the salad line, in huge letters, it says "creativity is a gift from God" (See added business photo). I was confused to what they even meant by that in the context of having a kitchen that doesn't even cook anything, or combine anything in any creative way. My GF explained that they probably meant the customer's creativity as they are assembling their own masterpiece, which makes more sense. But there is not a lick of creativity here, other than creatively making you pay 25.00 for two salads with no freshly prepared protein on them. And creatively making you listen to a sappy, contemporary country station that is a few volume notches above what could be considered background music. And creatively not having anybody greet us when we entered. And creatively having a choice between two soups, both heavy and creamy. Loaded potato and buffalo chicken I believe. The buffalo one was actually pink, kind of like pepto bismol! The thing that kills me the most though, is the price per pound thing. That's just lazy. Do the numbers analysis and charge a flat rate that is fair. You don't want people thinking about how much the ingredients weigh when they are making a plate, you want them thinking about how good the ingredients look. Which they don't. In summary, if you like paying $.50 per pound more than supermarket salad bar prices for 10% less quality and about the same selection of a supermarket salad bar, be my guest. I'll go be creative somewhere else. read more

Ok, I avoided this place like the plague when it first opened. All I could think about was the Shoney's or Wendy's salad bars when I grew up; several not so fresh, limited, mediocre choices. Yuck! A friend invited me for a girls lunch and how could I tell her no? I was taken by surprise! The Salad Station is nothing like I pictured. It was super clean, the staff greeted us when we walked in and were very friendly and helpful while we were there. I loved the quote on the wall and the picture of the farmers on the walls. I really enjoyed the Salad Station that day. Now, I tend to find myself there at least three times a week. Everything is so fresh. There are so many options to put on your salad creation, I honestly couldn't find anything that could be missing. It is always consistent. Everything is always clean, the staff is always friendly, and the food is always fresh and delightful. I have now introduced several of my friends to my new find and they are hooked too. The best part is my children also love it and request going there instead of fast food places! Woohoo! I noticed several people complaining about the price, and I will admit it does seem a little pricy if you look at the per pound price. However, I have paid more for salads that had less on them and were not nearly as fresh, ordering off of the menus in several of the local "nice" restaurants. I typically get a salad and a baked potato. When my husband and I have gone on the weekend with the girls, we all get potatoes or soup and a salad with drinks and we still get out for less than $38. Ok, well, it isn't McDonald prices, but it also isn't loaded with grease and preservatives. I will gladly pay more for healthier options. My dad always said you can tell a good restaurant by the amount of cars in the parking lot. Considering that more people have found it and that the last several times I have gone it is packed and the parking has become more limited---I would have to say other people agree with my assessment of it being a good place to frequent. :-) read more

My coworkers love going here for lunch, and I understand why. They offer 5+ types of greens, all the vegetables, beans, sprouts, and meats you could want. If there is a topping you want in your salad, they prob have it. SO. MANY. TOPPINGS. The food is charged by the weight of your salad/baked potato/soup. The service is fast and friendly. And the best part is that none of my coworkers (that I know of) have ever gotten sick at this buffet style salad bar. Score! read more

Staff was super helpful, we came in for dinner and had a nice chat with the young ladies working the front and the teenage boy doing the hot bar even suggested which soup he liked the most and the girls let us take our time sampling.
