Spotlessly clean. You pick the ingredients you want as you work your way done the line and a staff member makes your salad in front of you in good sized stainless steel bowls. If you dine in, you eat your salad right out of the metal bowl. Great selection. They don't skimp. In a city where it is hard, if not impossible, to eat healthy and not pay an arm and a leg and then still usually be disappointed, Salata is a do not miss. For salad and an iced tea, it was $13. Worth every penny. Now, whether they can keep it up over the long-term remains to be seen. But for now, can't wait to go back. read more

Probably the best thing to eat at Atlantic Station. The concept is nifty. There are 3 menu items: a large salad ($8), a small salad ($7), and a wrap ($7). You get unlimited veggies and toppings and a free piece of bread. If you want to add a protein (chicken, salmon, falafel, shrimp, etc.) you'll pay a small upcharge ($3-4 depending on the protein). All in all, the most expensive thing you can order is a large salad and premium protein for $12..and it is HUGE. Seriously, you can split it. Awesome concept and price point. The ingredients are fresh and DELICIOUS, and you can sample all the proteins before buying them. This is how a salad bar is done. read more

Had the opportunity to try out a full meal with drink for free as apart of the upcoming opening. Employees were very alert and welcoming, there is a sign not eye level at the bar that explains how it works. (Small or large salad, or a wrap) then you go down the line (like chiplote or moes) and choose your salad mix, toppings, one protein(salmon, chicken, shrimp etc) (included) and then dressing (I recommend the herb vinaigrette. Sooo good there's ranch and Caesar and some other choices) (and additional items like avocados). Lots of toppings to choose from, mandarins to Brussels sprouts and your typical toppings, sun dried tomatoes, cucumber, cheeses. Definitely something for all. There is soup as well. I believe a small salad and drink is priced at $13 and some change (With tax) I had small salad and it was Very filling with the protein. The drinks are yummy, I the tropical green tea. I really dig the overall concept of a make-your-own-salad fast casual restaurant. It's basically a high-end salad bar that you don't make your yourself, but simply choose items and an employee adds them for you. You pay more to add proteins like shrimp and chicken and for certain other additions like avocado. The quality of the ingredients were excellent except the chicken tasted exactly like those refrigerated pieces you'd get from Purdue at the grocery store. The plump shrimp were especially tasty. Also, everything here was really clean which is important for this type of place. It would be great if you could also get some type of "signature" salads that you don't have to make yourself, like a chicken Caesar or a shrimp avocado. I'm not that great of a salad creator, so having some set choices would be handy. Overall cost for two salads with one drink was $26, so not outrageous, but a bit more than we expected. As this place matures they'll fix a few hiccups like when you ask for eggs and they automatically pile on three huge scoops. Otherwise if you like salads, you'll like Salata. read more

This is my absolute favorite lunch place! The ingredients are always fresh, the staff are always welcoming and friendly. Salata offers a variety of salad base options ranging from their "Salata Mix" to arugula, kale, and romaine. They also feature a wealth of variety when it comes to toppings ranging from fruit, 4-5 types of peppers, 3 types of cheese, chickpeas, dressings, and more! They also have a nice selection of proteins too, which includes salmon, shrimp, falafel, and differing types of chicken. I highly recommend trying their cookies and teas, too! read more

We placed an online order. I got an email saying A) they got the order then B) the order was ready. When I arrived, neither was true. I was informed that "our internet is down" and they had no record of my order. Luckily, their system which lied to me about the order being ready also contained a detailed description of the order which they used to make it while I waited. No biggie, but they did forget my soup. Mostly I'm irritated that their system is set up to automatically claim that orders are received and ready when clearly, the system has no connection to reality. Any managers out there paying attention to this really need to fix that flaw. Don't tell me it's received and ready when it isn't. It's not that hard. And don't forget to give me everything I paid for. For that alone, I likely won't be returning to this location. I'll have to see how the things taste that I did bring home first. read more

I recently started my quest for eating healthy and I think they opened this restaurant... JUST FOR ME! Lol! Everything in here is so fresh and healthy conscious and you can throw anything you want in your $8 salad bowl! I always add the chipotle chicken in there for $3 extra Cuz I'm trying to be healthy but still gotta have my proteins! Their version of the balsamic vinaigrette is the bomb! Salata has been one of my go to spots ever since it opened at Atlantic Station four or five years ago. Unfortunately, the overall experience has steadily gone down and I finally hit a point today where I will no longer be going there. In short, the price has increased by roughly about 50% since it opened, the portion they give you has been halved, and the quality of the ingredients has hit rock bottom. Specifically, what I've asked for has been extremely consistent and has included pesto chicken, and the total I used to pay, including a 20% tip, used to be about $12 when the Atlantic Station spot first opened. Today, Including a 10% tip, I paid a hair under $17. The portion they gave me was essentially the portion they used to give on a half bowl. And worst of all, the quality of each ingredient was just gross, including stale yellow/brown spots on lettuce and other greens being all crinkly from being dried up, tiny broccoli pieces that looked like last remaining debris coming out of a bag, not to mention looking totally dry white-ish like the pieces have been sitting out there for days, FOUR pieces of pesto chicken where it used to be so many chunks that I used to feel like I was consuming just as much chicken as the greens, and chopped "bacon" pieces that were about half dried up fat pieces (and I mean fat pieces hanging put by themselves instead of the fat being part of the meat). Just absolutely horrid. I don't know whether this is a new protocol for the the chain or just this spot, but I will no longer be going there and will let anyone I know not to go there. read more

This salad concept has been around for a LONG time but past attempts in Atlanta have failed. Perhaps the time has come for Atlanta to embrace the salad. I used to be a big fan of Tossed that opened in downtown Decatur almost 10 years ago. But they didn't survive. Salata is almost identical. Pick a salad or wrap and work your way down the line adding ingredients. It's nice that they don't nickel and dime you on most ingredients, even bacon. Yes, BACON IS FREE...or included in the price. The overall meal is somewhat pricey. $8 for the salad, $3 to add chicken, and a WHOPPING $3 for a bottle of Diet Coke (the fountain machine was broken so I don't know how much that would have cost). With tax, you're basically looking at $15 for a salad and drink. For self service fast casual, I think it's a little high. I would have given Salata 3 stars based on the value. But bacon goes a long way in my book. And since you can smother your healthy salad in bacon, I have to give Salata 4 stars. read more

Great quick "Chipotle" style salad restaurant in the Atlantic Station area. It is based on the Chipotle style where you walk in, pick a type of lettuce, pick your salad additions along with proteins etc. Once you pick everything you pay, get your drink cup and enjoy! The service was great, people friendly and food was good. My only downfall on the place was it seemed a bit high just for a salad. Two of us ate there for lunch and with 2 grilled chicken salads, 2 waters the bill was nearly $40 which seems a bit high....so not sure I will return just based on price. read more

My first & second visit to this 'Green-Eats' shop located in the heart of Atlantic Station's Food-Row, garnered a glowing review from yours truly on Google's listings. And because the food continues to be YUM-azing, it has earned a third on the review site of ALL review sites, YELP.com. The online ordering process is seamless from the ability to select the exact pick-up time (within 15 minute intervals) to extensive pictures assisting the less culinarily-advanced consumer. The prices are very reasonable considering the establishment's construction and health code standards in addition to the prime selection of ingredients they offer. The service is perhaps my favorite part of this business as each time I visit Salata, I am greeted with a warm smile and attentive greeting. I hope there will be continued service from the Atlantic Station location as its quickly becoming one of my top picks for quick and healthy eats in the Midtown Atlanta area. (My only critique is that the Peachtree Center location needs to correct its listed telephone number immediately; as the current one connects you to the line of an Atlanta business man who I am sure would like his life back from all the calls placed for Salata information.) read more

So I just discovered this place after hearing so many rave reviews! I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious everything was. As a restaurant that specializes in salads they do not disappoint! They offer several different types of greens for you to choose as a base for your salad. I opted for the Spring Mix which is your typical mix of spinach and red and green lettuce. They have so many options for toppings!!! It has to be over 50 different options available to add to your salad. The veggies and fruits are free to add to your salad. And from my understanding, you can add as many of those as you want without being charged extra. I opted for my usual salad toppings: cucumbers, green bell pepper, red onion, boiled egg, sun dried tomatoes, cranberries, and bacon bits. For protein, I chose the Herb Marinated Chicken breasts. They also have over 10 different dressing options available. I chose a standard balsamic vinaigrette which was really tasty! They also have different soups available on different days of the week. This is one of the best salad bars I've been to! I love that most of the toppings are included in the price. Some of the other places like this end up being $20 after adding meat, cheese and avocado. They are VERY generous with their portions - I could have shared the small bowl with someone easily. The only complaint I have was our server was too heavy-handed on the dressing. I understand that this could have just been one particular person though. Maybe they should require the servers to ask for light, medium or heavy. read more

Great concept! I have been on my "clean eating" game lately. This place puts me in the mindset of Doc Greens. There were so many options to include in your salad. I appreciated the different green options: romaine, ice burg, kale, spinach etc. I chose the larger size and chose as many salad add-ons as I wanted and was surprised the cost was only $8 and change. It was well worth the money for that much salad. There were also some good choices for salad dressings. They were open to giving me a sample before I made a final decision. Check this place out! They are an extreme salad bar and all the ingredients are fresh and flavorful. The meats are excellent. You can put endless toppings on your salad or wrap to have your food just how you want it. I had a wrap and their flavored tea . The place was very clean and it got very crowded for lunch. Having good delivered when you're a teacher is huge! We rarely even get to 3at lunch because we're subbing classes during lunch because subs won't come in during covid-19. It was nice that you had quite a few toppings for the salad to choose from, but nothing spectacular or unique. Falafel was dry, cold and flavorless. That was the biggest disappointment.
