I like Salada and salads taste great but the last time I went, I have asked for a large salad and the person gave me barely any lettuce. I asked for more and she said "we have portions", and gave me two more small pieces. I don't know if she meant that in a rude way but it definitely made me mad. Portions are not consistent (it's not hard to just fill up the bowl more than half way) and if they really do have "portions" then they should measure it out each time. First time going to Salata. I'm not a big fan of salad bars but this was pretty good to say the least. The atmosphere of the restaurant was fine and the customer service was helpful since I needed help ordering. The only thing I really disliked about it is the prices. For a regular size bowl, it's $8 and extras like chicken or seafood is more. With the amount of dressing they automatically put on your salad, it's almost better off if you went to Five Guys a few blocks down. I love the concept and selection at Salata. It's like the Chipotle of salads and it's a great value for what you get. You get a huge salad with a ton of toppings of your choice and you can make it as healthy (or not) as you want. Where this place lacks, and I mean REALLY lacks, is customer service. I've been twice and both times I wanted to ask everyone working what their problem was. My most recent visit, a girl "in training" helped me and my 2 daughters. She was totally emotionless, definitely had resting bitch face, and sighed and rolled her eyes at us several times. We weren't be difficult or complicated - I was just allowing my 9 & 12 year old girls to order for themselves. She seemed like we were bothering her and was totally exasperated with us. At check out, the employee was no better. No "thank you" or smile or anything. When we were leaving, I noticed a dead roach on the floor, so I went to the checkout counter and told the employee. She just looked at me and said "um, okay." Folks, if you don't like your job - get a new one. I will likely choose another similar concept place before returning here. Customer service is especially important when you work face to face with customers and if me being there is going to "bother" someone, I'll gladly go somewhere that welcomes my business. read more

Excellent option for healthy food on the go! Walk along the salad bar while they put together a smorgasbord of any sort of salad goody you can imagine. Avocados, artichoke hearts,quinoa, and protein (chicken, steak,tofu, etc)are extra but really that's to be expected and if you don't want those there are so many included choices your salad greens won't be lonely anyhow. I'm not sure why I drive by this place all the time and always tell myself to try it, but I always end up getting Chipotle instead. Well not today! I decided to finally try it and I'm glad I did. It's pretty much a huge salad bar but they do all the work for you. They literally have every topping you could imagine and everything looks so presentable and fresh. My only complaint is that the process is pretty slow. I mean come on, it's just a salad. I also added on the soup for $2, I got the broccoli soup and it was very tasty. My whole meal was. The pricing is a tad high, I paid about $9 for a small salad and a small cup of soup. It also comes with a piece of bread, which is nice. Owner was rude & disrespectful. A while back I wanted to order a smaller portion of salad. The lady that took my order said quote-" We can do a kiddie size for you." So I ordered the kiddie size and when it came time to pay, the owner was standing by the check out cashier. I was asked what I ordered by the cashier. After I told the cashier what I ordered, the owner said in a very harsh voice-quote-" You can't order a kiddie size, your an adult." I told him it was advised to me by one of his employees to order a kiddie size. The owner said quote...It does not matter, you are paying for an adult size." I was upset, but paid for the adult portion. I left thinking I would never come back because of the way I was treated. The restaurant had not been open long at that time in Frisco, and I felt I was mistreated under those circumstances by the owner. I got exactly 4 each of beans peas raisins etc. I would have told them that I need to eat more than a 2 year old but they spoke no English. I tried to communicate my tummy's capacity to digest legumes by nicely asking "more please". I got 2 more beans. Score!!! And this was after paying for a full sized bowl. Paid extra for everything else and ended up with a bill of $20+. The place clearly wants to look hip without satisfying customers. It's not like central market where you pay for your food by weight or Genghis grill where you have a bowl to stuff with what you like. So today I went to eat here to order salad. When I was ordering my food the man working was picking the food up with his gloves, I thought okay this is sanitary he's wearing gloves and probably changes it for each customer. After he was done I went to hand him my money. He grabbed my money with the SAME Gloves he used to grab my food. I didn't want to create a fuss even though as an adult I get scared with corona, but then I decided to see what happened with the next customer, AND WITH THE SAME GLOVES, he picked up her food and cash money. This is completely unsanitary you should always change your gloves. This could cause the spread of corona. It got even worse I then stopped eating my salad asking for a refund he said no o can't give you one, I then asked for a manager and she said could I see the receipt and to my amazement the man working tries to SWITCH the receipt to a less a expensive one. I have visited here since the place opened and I would say salads have not disappointed me. But the pricing and the portion of a salad have disappointed me over the period of time. As it is a salad bar, my direct comparison will be with salad stop, another salad bar nearby. The servers are always hesitant in adding enough portions of vegetables in the salad (especially in vegetarian salad). The quantity is always variable based on the servers. The dressing is the flavor of any salad and if I am asked to add limited dressing, that's kind of not expected in a salad bar. When I requested to add more dressing, the response I got was you can't add more than 2 spoons. I ordered falafels today for my salad and the falafels were chewy and cold. I loved their meat options and chicken flavors are really good. So overall, I would still think twice before going to a place where there are a lot of limitations while ordering my food. read more

The woman who served me, Danielle was the sweetest person ever. She was really nice about walking me through the line and talking me through it all!
