Nice location and no one was there almost closing and they were all nice and gave us our food promptly, we actually ate in less time then when they closed, think we only had about 30 mins before closing so it was nice we didn't feel rushed or anything. As far as the food, it was fresh but I remember loving the spicy shrimp pizza so much more in the past, like not so great anymore and it's been a long time since I had it. The food is good, and what people are there are polite and cheerful (e.g. the person who calls your name to hand over the to go bag). There is no one who can take orders, only 2 self-service kiosks. These kiosks prompt for a tip the same way a human would, but they also add a $.30 "convenience fee" for using the kiosk to order. This fee is not listed as a charge (see pic), making for a less than honest encounter. An example of automation replacing humans creating a less-positive experience for human customers. read more

Easy, semi-casual stop for a solid salad, soup, or sandwich. Very similar to a Panera, and I think this is also a chain. Our food came out surprisingly fast! I got the Newk's Favorite salad, and also added a cup of the tortilla soup. It was drizzling outside at the time, and I just really love soup. The salad ended up being plenty big on its own, but I'm glad I did also get the soup too. I would have done the "pick two" option, but salads weren't included in it, so I kind of had to DIY a pick two. The salad was good. I liked that it wasn't too basic. And this is one of those places where ordering a salad doesn't feel like you're gonna get something that was a total afterthought. I don't typically put grapes in my salads (though I have before), but I liked them and helped switch it up a bit. The nuts also paired well with the grapes especially. I also liked that there were artichoke hearts in this salad. The chicken and the lettuce both tasted fresh. It was a tad heavy on the dressing for me, but it wasn't a problem. The soup hit the spot, as soup tends to do. Good flavors, and a good amount of spice. Not necessarily spicy, but a tiny kick and just overall seasoned well. Chicken salad sandwich is everything you want in a CSS, creamy white meat speckled with sweet grapes and crunchy pecans (I think ! The combo is so good but the ingredients work so well it's a symphony of delight!). The bread. THE BREAD! It's warm and crusty and so and chewy. No other CSS can compare. Food is good so not the reason contributing to a low review... but disappointed that we were told we weren't allowed to dine in 30 minutes before closing. This is a first. We only had the option to order for take out and when we asked why, confused because there was still 30 minutes until closing, they said it's because they are backed up on orders. Don't understand why that would change why we couldn't dine in. And to add to it, the cook in the back is clearly looking at the customers walking in and rolling his eyes. Absolutely horrible service. I asked if the bread had dairy, the lady near the order area response was we have gluten free pizza. I asked about the bread again and her response was if bread normally has dairy it probably does. I asked if she could check since it appeared she was certain. She visibly was bothered and walked away, I told her it was perfectly fine no bother since ai seemed to be creating a problem by asking a simple question. Extremely sad that such a simple question was an issue. The normal response I receive when asking about an allergy if not certain about ingredients is let me check. Sadly, my love for this place is gone! Such a disappointment and I guarantee something has drastically changed as far as staff and/or management. The huge problem with this is that I ordered from Uber Eats and places just don't give a crap when you're not there to make them do it right ...they really don't. It's horrible customer service. If you don't care about people, then you shouldn't be making food. This is not about Uber Eats, but it is part of the problem. And all of it is Newk's fault! So the problem with the Uber Eats is they don't give you your money back. And if you try to call the restaurant, the restaurant tells you that they have no way to do anything about it even though it's completely their fault. And Uber eats makes it impossible to get a hold of them. There is no way to get a hold of them directly. If you email them, you get an automated service and not an actual person. If they ask me where I want the money returned to I say my credit card and they gave me a stupid five dollar credit to my Uber Eats account instead of my credit card like I requested . makes no sense because they offered and I selected one and they did it to the other. which I never want to use Uber eats again so it's not like I can use it and it was five dollars!!! The order was $165!!! Newks is completely at fault and I'm out all that money because Uber Eats will not refund me. I'm sitting there arguing with an automated service, not a real person. It is the most frustrating thing ever and these places both of them are criminal. They're stealing from me. Do not go to Newks! Like I said it used to be really good but first of all most of what I got was not right and the few things I did get right were disgusting. It was like it was thrown together and I've had them before so I know what it should taste like and look like and it looked like slop, and it was thrown together and tasted disgusting and most of it was not even what I ordered. I've been keeping an eye on the old waistline lately and have been exploring good places to get well prepared delicious salad. Newk's is a great option. My opinion is that it is about on par with Salata's and a slight step up from Jason's Deli. The lunch crowd was packed when I walked in but kudos to the staff. They took care of the line pretty quickly and service was great. I'll definitely give them another try when I am back in the office and on my lunch break. read more

This simply sucked. Got a to go order of the pimento bacon Mac & Cheese. Picture looked delicious. And plentiful. What I got was the exact opposite. My order came in a small sixteen ounce cup which usually I would reserve for a side soup. Even had to call the manager to make sure they didn't get my order wrong. Now to the actual food: the bacon was burnt (which normally I'd be down with if it weren't swimming in cheese), the pimentos were almost non-existent (guess I had a different idea on pimentos), and the cheese tasted like Velveeta cheese (again not an issue, but when you pay the amount I paid for an entree you expect better). The food is fantastic. There was not an employee at the front so I had to self order. This is fine but the computer then asked for a tip. I had not spoken to an actual employee but was expected to tip. When my food arrived I was told that the morning shift was the only shift that was allowed to give real silver.
