Do not go here if you don't have insurance , they only care about the money , they also need to fire their nosey , dental Hygienist bullies whom where only hired based on looks not experience !!!! I'm sad to say but this was my last visit after 10+ years. I walked in thinking is was going to be another day at the dentist. I was first greeted, then asked to make a payment for my visit. Never once did they ever ask for a payment before hand but I actually understood where they were coming from assuming a patient probably refused making a payment after treatment once before. I was later greeted by my hygienist. She said if there were any problems/currents so I mention that I noticed a chipped tooth. She then took x rays and started with the cleaning. During the cleaning she mentioned that problem tooth possibly needing a root canal. One the cleaning was done they sent me over to an office where one of the office managers suggested that I needed a root canal ASAP however the way she said it made me feel as if I was at a car dealership which made me a extremely uncomfortable so I told her that I had to leave. I understand that it's probably something shes trained to do but it's definitely not my style and how I want to be treated esp at a doctors office. read more

Both doctors are super dedicated and his staff super friendly. Doctor G has been taking care of my Family for at least 5-6 years. Appointment are always on time and you get friendly reminder 2 days before, so it's not missed. Look no further, best dentist ever! The girlfriend dragged me to the dentist for a cleaning and checkup after not seeing a dentist in about 3 years. Just like most people, the fear and unenjoyable experiences at other dentists caused me to delay and procrastinate on the the checkups and cleanings. Turns out I needed a deep cleaning and antibiotic treatment due to infected gums from not flossing and my lucky #18 molar had a really bad cavity that extended under the gum. The deep cleaning went well and the hygienist (Mary) took every measure possible to make sure I was comfortable and as painless as possible. She even found the hard to find cavity on lucky #18 molar which is all the way on the rear lower left jaw which several dentists in the past had failed to catch. I would have probably lost the tooth if she had not have caught it. To make a long story short on lucky molar #18, I needed to have a root canal, gingivectomy, and crown installed to save the molar. The root canal and post were completed in a couple hours and again every measure was taken to make it as comfortable as possible. The removal of decay and crown were done the next week on the same day within within hours. No need for a temporary crown, the in house 3D printer shaped the crown before my eyes in minutes! I am very grateful for Dr. Grabczak, Dr. Salas and the entire staff at the Salgra group for doing an incredible job saving my molar and making me feel at home. read more

I don't care how old you are, going to the dentist is never fun but the team at Salgra Dental makes it better! I've had 2 wisdom teeth extractions and other procedures and the treatment I received was so nice and accommodating- from the doctors and the team at the front desk! I live in Davie but I make the trip to Hollywood to see them because like I said the dentist isn't fun but those guys make it a way better experience. I've never had any discomfort during any of my visits and the doctors always made sure I knew I could let them know if I was having any pain or needed a break. In the beginning it was great friendly staff etc, now the the main focus at this practice is to spend more time talking about financing braces implants . It's become more like a dealership for cars and not focusing on the clients. I have never seen this tactic from another dental practice. Today I took the time out of work to go in for a cleaning . My appointment was at 12pm then they mentioned that they were not able to do the cleaning because it would take 2 hours . The rep Mable wanted me to do the implant and said that they can do the procedure to put in an implant today but not the cleaning. So you can't do a deep cleaning that I came in for, but you can do a implant procedure in the spot? I have insurance and money to pay but this was not what i wanted to do or came in for. I came out today it was 1:30pm and nothing was done ****patients and consumers beware**** i will not be returning . Now looking to find a trusted local dentist please let me know any recommendations as I would rate this practice as poor. read more

3 stars for not killing me. 1 star for their sales tactics. I used to go here often until i realized what they were doing. I was told that my gums were bad and I should buy their mouth wash every time I came. Later I was sold their special toothbrush "rotadent" and I noticed that a lot of people would be buying it too. I spoke with a coworker that goes here and she noticed that she was always sold something on the way out. I stopped going here and finally found a new dental office and realized that they didn't sell me anything. The more I think about it, the more I feel hustled. I realize that this dental group has great reviews and I hope most of them are real. I just don't think that I should be pressured to have a procedure done which I cannot afford and be refused a simple cleaning that my insurance covers 100% . I may have came back when I had resources to do periodontal cleaning, but now I will go somewhere else just because of initial refusal to perform regular cleaning and the way the work was presented to me. Very good dentists, but the business side like what treatment plan they propose and everything was not great at all. The office was so busy. Doing Xray will take you like an hour. They are not that patient centered. I agree with most of the reviews that its felt like you as a patient is another dollar sign the way they pushed you to have a treatment plan done, like right now. read more

My experience here at salgra dental was such a delight from start to finish. The office staff and the doctors are all very friendly. I came in for an $85 cleaning and found out that the consolation and X-rays are included with the cleaning. After my consolation Cindi the office manager sat down with me and was so helpful throughout the whole process she was very informative and gave me a run through of everything I needed to get done and how long my treatment would take and she even showed me my X-rays to show me exactly where I needed to get work done. Dr.Montenegro and her assistant were also so sweet the Dr answered all of my questions and was very honest with me throughout my treatment, after sitting in the chair for over an hour her assistant saw I was cold and brought me a blanket and also put Vaseline on my lips without me needing to ask. I had more than one treatment done, and had dental work fixed that other dentist had messed up. I also had a crown put in and you could never tell that it is there it feels and looks like my tooth. To sum it all up not only did I feel at home here but my results were just amazing. I can definitely say that I am proud of my smile. I have no more cavities, and you could never tell I have a crown. Great service! Been coming here for 17 years! Never changed dentist! Will continue coming till I'm 40

I've been going to this office for 3.5 years but will not any more. Before that, I just moved to this city and had not been to dentist's for a little over 2 years. I've always had gum issues due to excessive plaque. They proposed a full mouth deep cleaning for the first visit and I followed and paid more than $800 even with insurance. I've since been on so called "maintenance" schedule and have been going every four month for cleaning and periodontal maintenance. They proposed another treatment in 2016 for which insurance did not cover at all and for which I was charged another $450 all out of pocket. I trusted them at that time so did not raise questions about those treatments. They recently proposed to me another full mount deep cleaning for which they quoted me the original price over $1,700. Since this was really a significant amount, I sat down with them and went over why it was needed since I've been coming here every four months for the last 3.5 years and the last time I was here was four months ago and they told me the maintenance was good. If I would have to get a deep cleaning every 3 years, regardless whether I did regular maintenance or not with them, I better just come in do the deep cleaning every 3 years instead of paying for maintenance and cleaning every four months and then having to get deep cleaning every 3 years again. The rest of the conversation was like what other reviewers put it - I felt like I was at a car dealership. We were able to negotiate the quoted price and then they agreed to do the deep cleaning with a little over $1100. They said they really could not do deep cleaning for $1,100 but they were really concerned with my teeth so decided to do it. I really started to have bad feelings after the conversations so I decided to hold off the procedure and did some research on my own. My research found out the following: 1. If the dental office claimed that the whole deep cleaning should be done in one visit and took 2 hours then you should be alerted about the quality. The first deep cleaning they did for me was with one visit. And this time they told me it should be done in one visit and would take 2 hours as well. And they only numbed my gum when performing the cleaning which is another alarming factor that they cleaning is not as deep as it should be. Seems dental offices are not very consistent in their "deep cleaning" treatment. For some offices, the deep cleaning is not what it should be, going deep under the gum to clean. So when you were proposed deep cleaning treatment, really ask about how many sessions, how much time it takes and what is the anesthesia method and compare with your research online to see if they will be doing proper deep cleaning. 2. They told me that I either do the treatment right now and save those teeth or I don't and the teeth will fall out soon. Based on the research, they are either not being honest or they have no knowledge about periodontal disease. Periodontal disease is not curable and there are actually a number of contributing factors. Genetics plays a huge role and some people will loose teeth even with treatment and some people's teeth survive even with over 5mm pockets for a while. So to say deep cleaning is the only contributing factor that will determine the faith of your teeth is a total ignorance of this disease. Considering I did deep cleaning 3.5 years ago and have to do it again even with my regular 4-month interval maintenance and cleaning, it probably suggests that the treatment does not work too well for me. 3. Also deep cleaning is considered invasive treatment and may do harm to the teeth thus there needs to be cost vs. benefits analysist to see if benefits outweigh the costs. Some dentists out there take a very conservative and "wait and see" approach when proposing deep cleaning. If the deep cleaning does not harm the teeth at all, it is probably not as deep as it should be and might not benefit your teeth and gum either. read more

Went to this place 2 years ago, and I am writing a review now because I received a letter in the mail that came off as fake, patronizing and meant to feel as though they are the only dentists in South Florida. "I'm not sure why you have not been in. If you feel you need to discuss this with me, feel free to call me at my office. I try to establish a special relationship with all my patients." Bull$h!t I went to this place for roughly 6 months, that, when I was done with my dental work and no longer came in as frequently, no one had any clue who I was nor did they help me plan my visits. As much as this place was clean, "warm", "welcoming", and "professional", I should have gone somewhere else. I start started a new job and wanted to get my teeth checked because I was having issues with my upper molars. When I went there, I got a consultation and then we discussed what would have to be done. This is where I should have stood my ground. We were taken to the office and presented with an estimate of 3k worth of work (which none of us had) with insurance that included two root canals with two caps, and a filling in the tooth between these two teeth. I thought we would have been given a payment plan, but instead, we were held in the office trying to explain that we couldn't afford it at the moment, and we needed to wait, and that we were trying to deal with situations in our house. The office woman, blocking the path to the door, got defensive that my teeth are more important than these "situations" ignoring my husband and making it appear as he was being neglectful of my health. She made me feel like a battered woman getting a pep talk on confidence and independence. She then went on the phone to get medical credit, and after three calls to different places, I got approved for Care Credit for $800, which I already told her I DIDN'T WANT CREDIT CARDS. My husband almost went broke because of these people if it weren't for my parents chipping in and saving us. When the work was being done, it took months due to scheduling. The office staff knew my husband's work schedule and was happy to work around all of it. I asked them to do one at a time so if there were any complications I would know, but they all at the same time. One tooth wound up hurting and when they asked which one, I didn't know. Turns out the root still remained in one. Redid root canal. I still felt pain but didn't know where, so I just gave up dealt with it. The caps were the most painful part,as they had to be adjusted and readjusted, and then a gap had to be filed after they were put on. After this work was completed, something still felt painful. Something wasn't right, and also I think the enamel off the outside the molar between these two teeth were damaged because not only does it collect tartar three times quicker than the rest of my teeth, but even after cleaning it feels rough. When I asked to have copies of my dental records, they said they could not do it because it was all digital. The only thing they gave me was a copy of the x-rays they took before all the work, which were so small I could barely make anything out. I was dueto have another cleaning and I was trying to make the appointment before the insurance ran out, but apparently, the same office lady I spoke to for those 6 or so months not only didn't remember me, my situation, or what I had done but also kept giving me days when my husband worked and after the date mentioned. If I say I need times after 3:00pm, why would you suggest something at 2:30pm, or 1:00pm? I got so pissed I just said canceled my appointment. I wasn't a customer, I was a dollar sign. ---New place--- I found a new dental place, Horizon Dental, months later, and told them why I couldn't get copies of my records. They told me I have a right to those records, and there was no excuse. They couldn't even get the records, so I started a fresh record with my new dental place. When I told them how much I spent, the wonderful office lady was disgusted. I was quoted at max 1,500 for the caps with insurance. They took all new x-rays, including a full head scan of my mouth that they did on-site, checked my caps and said they were fine, but the filling I had needed to be redone because Salgra failed to remove enough of the cavity. No more pain! They fixed the problem, and they even had my medical records available to me, and even give me copies of the bill fully detailing everything, and even offered a payment plan, AND never harassed me to get it done ASAP, or on-the-spot, or immediately, nor cornered me and made me feel small. They treat my husband with the utmost respect and are understanding when it comes to life issues. He even goes there as well. The best part is they remember and know who we are, even after 6 months. read more

All the warmth and friendliness you get at this place is just part of the ruse. Do not let these people sign you up for anything and DO NOT SIGN any papers with them. Especially any loan for a full treatment plan. Before you know it they will have you on the hook to a predatory lender(s) for thousands. Should you get approved that will charge the entire loan immediately before any work has even been performed instead of charging you for each appointment. They will not tell you this up front either. I needed to get a cleaning done so I tried this place which is close to my family business at the North Perry Airport. I went in and was greeted right away by their friendly staff. I didn't have to wait long until they started my x-rays which went by smoothly. The doctor who did my cleaning was very thorough and expressed a lot of enthusiasm and knowledge on how to keep my teeth and gums healthy by flossing and brushing every day. I am very pleased to hear I had no cavities by dentist Dr. Grabcheck which also reassured me as long as I floss and brush my teeth everyday I can eat as much candy (sweet tooth) as I want!
