Most horrible staff they're not understanding at all they ruined my face there was a lady who was calling herself so called expert but she gave me the worst service ever, i was there for my face wax and guess what i've red marks on my face and literally my skin is burning. Not customer friendly. I made the mistake of returning after my first bad experience. I went in to get my eyebrows threaded, I was greeted by a young lady, later, an older woman came out from the back and grunted something, I think she was trying to have me sit in her chair. She started off by saying my eyebrows were different, I already knew that, so I asked if she could just leave them as thick as possible. I don't think she payed any attention to my request. She proceeded to thread them aggressively, which for the most part it's ok with me, but she then started discarding her cotton balls and thread on me. Please avoid this place. read more

The antithesis of relaxation .... This was my first time visiting this establishment. I met up with a girlfriend and we planned a day of relaxation, facials and food. She called ahead an made an appointment. However, when we visited the location, we were kept waiting as it was pretty busy. My friend was a bit irritated because that's kinda the whole point in making an appointment, and she felt that it wasn't honored. When we finally got our facials, Salima called us into a back room with two massage/facial tables and so we thought we were going to be getting facials at the same time which we were cool with. However, one of us was serviced, while the other one of us sat on the other massage table and looked at the person getting a facial, WTH? Why would you not have one of us sit out in the lobby if you didn't have another person available to do the facial at the same time. That wasn't even the biggest disappointment. That was due to the entire facial being extremely rushed and no where near relaxing. Salima gave us a microdermabrasion facial which I had never had, and Salima asked me this at the start of the visit. It would have been nice to have the procedure and products explained to us at the beginning of the session. I wasn't even asked if I had any skin issues or allergies or sensitivities to certain products. From the time Salima started, she remarked about how busy they had been and then proceeded to rush through the whole facial. She did not even turn off the lights for a more relaxing environment. Her strokes were fast and rough and in no way relaxing. She talked frequently throughout the the session which is a pet peeve of mine, um I'm trying to relax and you are not only talking to me, but asking me questions when you have product all over my face. She also piled product after product onto my face, without wiping it clean in between products. She also left the room several times for whatever reason, maybe to get more products, and when she left and returned to the room, she left the door open several times, that my friend had to get up and close it, because I was lying on the table in my bra (with a drape over me). Salima said that she was giving us a facial as well, but that consisted of putting some type of product on my face and two cotton rounds on my eyes for 5 minutes and then wiping it off. No steam to open pores and no extractions, which is what I'm used to for facials. Worst yet, another staff member kept coming in and out of the room to ask Salima questions about how much to charge another customer and other things, and at one point entered the room and fed, yes fed Salima a bite of food over my face! I also had my eyebrows done by Salima. When she was done, I did not like them at all. No arch and just not done well. I was honest and told her that I dd not like them and she did them again to my satisfaction. Overall-Not pleased with my experience, especially when we spent near a hundred dollars. I might stop in for my eyebrows to be threaded if I am on that side of town and am in a pinch, but I would not return for a facial or any other service. I will stick to Bubbly's for my facials, as they do a great job and I'm so relaxed I usually fall asleep ( and snore). read more

Salima does a good consistent job on threading my eyebrows. There are a couple new girls I haven't tried yet...may be a while before I do since my experience with new people isn't always favorable. There aren't many places to get threaded in spring that actually know what they're doing so of you've never gotten your brows threaded this is a good place to give it a shot. read more

Let me first start with that I never write reviews on anything. The only reason I'm writing something is because I saw on Yelp that they didn't have fair reviews on here. I am very picky on my eyebrows and well everything. I go out of my way to get what I want. Dry cleaners, nails, hair, doctors, and eyebrows. Salima does the BEST job on my eyebrows. I wouldn't trust any other place. I don't even live near this place anymore, and I still travel out of my way to go here. No one else can do my eyebrows so perfectly. I am of picky type when it comes to saloon service, since I am very result oriented. I have been visiting Salima saloon for almost 4 years now and she maintains the same standard in all her service, including eye brows, facial, waxing. I never had a hair cut/color here before, until recently I realized why it took so long for me to try here at first attempt, since the results were amazing. I know all my desi friends, go to Hillcroft since they say its cheap, but, I am not sure if they all are satisfied with the service. Salima excels in eye brows. Recently or the first time in 4 years I tried my layer cut and highlights here and I really love the look. The highlight color blended so well with my complexion. I have tried several saloons in Houston before this, but never get good results on hair cut/color. I have relocated long time back from this area, but still keep visiting her because of the quality of service they maintain. All my friends like my eyebrows as well, and they too don't mind travelling long distance to get the job done. Also thumbs up to Samira for her excellent work on hair color/cut. This review is exclusively for Sameera. She is a miracle worker! My hair is very thin and has been falling out for a while now. The condition of my hair the last few years has been a constant source of frustration and nothing I ever did helped it look halfway decent. I had heard of Sameera though word of mouth and decided to employ her services. I desperately needed a change through an expert's hand. I called her the morning before my appointment and was accommodated right away. As soon as I walked in, I could tell Sameera was gifted. She listened to me very intently and paid attention to what I was looking for. She eased my fears about coloring my hair after a long time. She assured me that even my thin hair could look good with the right products, cut, and style. Sameera was very gentle and explained step by step the process of coloring my hair. She walked me through everything she was doing and made sure I was comfortable. The color did not irritate my scalp (as it tends to do) and came out great! Next was the cut. Sameera effortlessly worked her magic and only took off 3 inches, but my hair still looked pretty long! After that, she meticulously styled my hair and made it look absolutely gorgeous! I couldn't believe it was my own hair - the hair that's always been flat and limp was now super voluminous and healthy! I highly recommend Sameera for all your hair services. I started using this Salon when I moved to the area in 2014 and continued every 5 weeks until recently. Let me explain: When I first started going I used to be able to walk in and have a short wait to have my hair done. I loved how Simira did my color, cut & style. Over the years it started to get busier & busier which is great for them. So I started to make appointments for my hair, at first when I showed up for my appointments I knew it would be "my time" with little to no wait. Then she started be doubled booked and / or another patron would walk-in so she would be working on 2-3 patrons at one time. Sometimes she would have to pull one the eyebrow treading girls to help out (which I don't think they are licensed to do hair). I liked and only wanted Simira to do my hair but the owner Salima started jumping in to help and "correct" what she thought Simira could have done better. A few of my last breaking points with this salon: My hair color started to come out blotchy which I felt was due to her being rushed and it would fade significantly before the next appointment. I had an acquaintance ask me to give her my stylist # because she always said my hair looked great. She called me a week later to tell me her hair color & cut was horrible and they refused to make it right at no-charge. Turns out she also had made an appointment with but had multiple people work on her hair. My daughter had a balayage done at the tune of $280. Salima felt she had to help. Salima did one side of my daughter's hair while Simira did the other side. The next day the hair on each side looked completely different. They offered to re-do at a "reduced" price. I was like WTH? I have been coming here every 5 weeks for years, have never complained and you want to re-charge for your screw up?! The problem is not Simira but Salima the owner. The prices at first were reasonable but over the last few years the Salima the owner has upped the prices dramatically, started pressure selling products and facials. This used to be a nice reasonably priced neighborhood beauty salon but not any longer. read more

Worst service ever. My sister in law was embraced by the color of her mehndi on mehndi night when we called about the problem she gave a lame excuse saying body heat gives the color and it will show next day. So the was point of us doing mehndi if color shows late we would have done day before. They charged for putting on it eyelashes. The manager Salim was rude disrespectful dishonest misleading lady. They take your money and will say oh well we don't guarantee anything too bad if your best date of your life is messed up.
