Really disappointed in this place. Having looked over the reviews and taken my mother-in-law's suggestion, I thought I'd give it a try. Bad idea. My biggest concern is cleanliness and sterilization, and secondly, the options for color and the condition of the polish. This place had very little of any, as one technician prepared the footpath with bare hands while also in the midst of another customer's pedicure. A different technician sat down to do my pedicure, and almost began filing my nails with what was clearly a used file! I asked her to get a new one and she obliged. Then she picked up a scrubbing brush to use on the top of my feet, which not only was PAINFUL, but it was clearly used and could easily break through skin, spreading germs. I had to ask her several times to stop using the brush on my right foot, but then she began using it on my left. The paint job was not as well done as I would have liked. It puffed and caked quickly, and even though the bottle of polish looked new, it was obviously old and had been sitting on the shelf for a long time. The painful truth of the options at this place is that the lay were nil: the polish rack was chock-full of messy, half-full polish bottles that clearly need to be replaced. Love this place! Its very lively and all the girls are very social. Plus, they're super thorough but gental.

Salina is an artist and very meticulous. If you want a beautiful set of nails, she's your girl. Her designs and freehand are incredible. I've found her very accommodating and always pleasant. I have been going to this nail salon for about 3 years now even though they are a little pricey. In the beginning I had Salina and then I liked the way that DyDy did nails so I switched. After that, Salina never spoke to me again even when I politely speak which was rude! Long story short, if I get rhinestones and they fall off a day later, DyDy gets upset if I come to get them replaced. She is the best but I feel like I was not allowed to say anything about my nails or she thought I was complaining. I am a paying customer and if I pay you $50 then I expect it to be done properly! That is not complaining. She takes orders from Salina as though she is scared of her. Today I called to make an appointment and I could hear Salina in the background encouraging her not to service me any more. Of course not...you witch! I just earned my 11th appointment which meant $10 off any service She wasn't professional enough to honor my reward but said I'm not happy which is a lie and DyDy said she cannot do my nails again. I find Salina to be the rudest business owner I have ever met! Grow up! If someone prefers another Tech stop getting upset. You took my money which was quite a bit and now you wont honor my reward...your unprofessional!! There have been many times I've let another person go ahead of me or I wait because DyDy is running late but that's okay right?? Do you ever apologize to me? Nope...not once. My worst customer service experience ever. I came into this salon as a midpoint way to the airport. I had about 2 hours to spare before my flight. I came into the salon, and asked for a mani with gel and pedi. I asked one of the workers how much it cost. She tells me $25. I tell her, great! She's about to get started with me, until another customer walks in after me, and then Salina (the owner) tells me to wait and allows the customer who came in AFTER me to go first. Her reason was that the customer after me is only getting a manicure, and it be faster to get her done first, then 2 of the workers can work on my mani and pedi. However, I clearly indicated that I have a flight to catch. 30 Minutes Later, I finally get taken care of. I was borderline about to leave, and everytime I give her eye contact, she tells me "don't worry, very fast". I was pretty annoyed that she made me wait that long, considering I came first. After I finally got my mani and pedi done, Salina tells me that it'lll cost $50. I was shocked.... "$50???!!" First of all, the worker told me $25. Then Salina says "No, $25 for mani, $25 for pedi". This was NEVER articulated. I glance at the Price board, and it clearly says "$30 for Mani and Pedi".. So I was puzzled. Her reason was I got Gel. I glance at the board again and it says "$5 Gel". Obviously these people are playing games at this point. The math doesn't even add up and the explanations are just bogus. I needed to catch my flight, so I paid them and left. First and last time I will ever step foot here. My advice is to avoid unreasonable prices with shady customer service. read more

Awesome place. The cashier at the Dollar Tree next door told me about it, apparently it's a nail salon that was once owned by someone else but now has new owners. They have a grand opening special of 20% off all services. While the interior is not fancy, or even modern, the staff there is courteous, friendly, helpful, and do not try to oversell you on anything. In fact, my technician gave me a card that gives me a free pedicure after 10 paid ones. I would definitely recommend. And their free hand designs are gorgeous! read more

Been going for about one year and today 1:30 I call to see if Dee is available for 2:00. Salina the OWNER says, no honey we busy, how about 3:30? Sure, that works... Get there 3:20, Salina doesn't know I have appt, I remind her our conversation ~ she says nothing to me.....says something to Dee. Dee says, 30 mins ok? I said, you just started your client? I am thinking no way 30 mins, wait for 10 thinking she will excuse herself and take me, but no. No one even looks at me. It wasn't the cleanest and really only went because I liked Dee. I love coming to Salina's to get my nails done. No other place has gotten them just right like the ladies here - I'm really picky about nail thickness and shape. They actually listen and are super helpful if you aren't sure what you want! I have never actually made an appointment and I usually just drop in, they always get you in fast. I think the most I've had to wait was 15 minutes, but I also came in on a Friday evening that time. The quality of her products was a plus. I had a full set of white and pink powder and it didn't lift for at least three weeks and still looked great. Love this place. If you love French manicures, you have to get Belinda to do your nails in the "pink and white". The pink covers the nail bed so that you see a nice, natural, continuous pale color before it joins with the white tip. Belinda also does the best hand-drawn designs. I have her do fun designs on my big toe since I need to stay pretty conservative with my french gel fingertips. The other girls are great, too! read more

I came to Salina's to get a gel manicure before a trip. I cam on a Sunday evening and called ahead to see what the availability was like and I was told to come at 4:30 because I think they closed at 5 on Sundays. I came and ended up waiting for about an additional 40 minutes. I had one of Salina's technicians do my manicure where I had them pink with the index finger nail gold. Whenever I've received shellac manicures they have never shaved my nail part before which they did here, but I bit my tongue because I assumed that was just the protocol, but it left my nails very unattractive when the gel came off. What mostly made them lose the two stars was the not-so-clean station I was at (some of the tools looks like they needed a wash) and lack of attention to detail. While my nails aren't as sassy as some of the other ones pictured, I still wanted them to look nice and clean! I found myself constantly telling the technitian that my nail was filed on one side or that I had nail polish on the sides and when I left, I still had to pic some nail polish off the sides and top, messing up on of my nails. When I was telling the technician that there were problems, I would see Salina's head perk up and after awhile she asked me if everything was okay and even came over to show the woman what to fix, showing that she cared that I enjoyed my experience. Of course, you can't really beat the $20 gel manicure price, and they have lots of colors. I will most likely come back because it is such a great deal, but I will definitely request Salina next time. read more
