I was mortified! But lo and behold, I found this clinic that must have been sent from the heavens, because after being tossed around from doctor to doctor, they're the only ones who have been able to clear my skin! One of the things to keep in mind is that because this clinic is mostly for cosmetic procedures, they do not accept insurance. I must admit, I was a little bit skeptical when they said they don't accept insurance, but I'm so glad I gave them a try or else I would've missed this gem. Every penny I paid had been worth it. I was assessed by Dr. Hayre (the dermatologist), and she prescribed me some topicals as well as an oral medication. She also recommended I do isolaz once a week, which I have been doing regularly. Ratana does my isolaz treatments each week, and she is fantastic! I always look forward to the appointments with her, she's so fun to talk to and is super gentle with the treatment and the extractions (which usually hurt so bad!!). I also have to thank them for being so accommodating toward me. My job is very hectic and sometimes I end up having to stay longer than expected, which makes it hard for me to make it to appointments on time sometimes. The instructors are completely unprofessional, rude, and entirely money-driven. They don't care about your progress, your goals, or your future in the beauty industry -- only your payment. They stretch the same basic material over 14 long weeks, repeating the exact same topics just to justify their overpriced tuition. Yes, I did learn a few things -- but everything they taught could've been covered in three days at a fraction of what they charge. Nothing you get is advanced. It's the same basic information you can learn for free on social media, taught as slowly as possible to make the program appear valuable. And don't expect any real industry secrets or professional tricks. The instructors intentionally withhold techniques, keeping the real skills to themselves. You're left with surface-level knowledge and a certificate that doesn't reflect any professional training. About those five-star reviews you see everywhere? Don't fall for them. On the last day, right before they hand you your certificate, they force you to fill out a "review form" with only two questions: 1. Which service did you take? 2. Was it worth the money? No room for honesty, no room for criticism. That's how they maintain their perfect rating -- through manipulation, not quality. The environment is also extremely racially charged. If you are not part of a certain race, you are automatically treated as an outsider. The favoritism is obvious, uncomfortable, and wrong. And the way they talk to students? Like you're five-year-olds. The instructors behave like bullies, not educators. Instead of guiding you, they belittle you, control you, and create an intimidating atmosphere. As a naturally skeptical consumer, I went in fully prepared to walk away if anything felt off or made me uncomfortable. I'll admit, my first appointment didn't leave the strongest impression due to some miscommunication issues. I expressed my concerns to the office, and Dr. Naz personally called me to clarify everything. She made a clear effort to ensure my concerns were addressed, and the issue was resolved. I decided to move forward because, from the start, it was evident that Dr. Naz was exceptionally competent and knowledgeable. Leading up to the procedure, I remained apprehensive and had many questions and concerns. Every single one was acknowledged and addressed--nothing was dismissed or minimized.
