Yesterday I went there to purchase some socks specifically. There was an issue with those as they did not have the ones on sale clearly marked. I ended up picking up some other items. I caught a bottle of bonding that rung up more than it said. I had the young lady remove that. I got home and looked at the receipt and found a price discrepancy. A head wrap I purchased rung up $2.49 but the price on the item says $1.99. My advice to anyone seeing this is to take a picture of the tag and pay attention to the price as it is being scanned. If I didn't live over 17 miles from the store. I would've taken it back. Why are these store so trifling!

When I recently visited to pick up an online order, two employees stood talking at the front. There was no acknowledgment of me as a customer. As I stood there waiting, one shot me a look and said "Give me a second" as she continued her conversation. Even the other employee looked kind of puzzled as what they were discussing seemed trivial. When she finished and deemed me worthy of assistance, the employee worked on gathering my order. I couldn't wait to get out of there. I'm just baffled. While inside I saw that they carried some of everything beauty related. Hair care, skin care, some make-up, accessories for hair too. I even saw hair care products from small businesses. She doesn't just carry larger brands in her store. The owner was so nice and explained how she named her store. She also said she hosts braiding events for people who may not be able to afford to go to salons. Of course the people braiding are professionals, they just don't charge like salons do. I was thoroughly impressed and happy to have found her shop. Her prices are comparable to other beauty supply stores too. I was able to purchase some products from 2 companies that I typically have to buy from online, so no waiting to receive a shipment in the mail. The store was clean and inviting. The owner answered any questions I had and I was able to support a black owned business in my community while also getting some hair care products that I needed.

She quoted me $150 which I was willing to pay. When I did go to get my hair done on a Sunday, the lady said I owed her $200 when she finished my hair. I was shocked! How are you going to go up in 2 weeks by 33 percent? And why was the cost not quoted before doing my hair? I did not want to argue with the lady so I gave her $180 and told her that I would never sat foot in this shop again. She got an extra $30 out of me but she lost a customer. The cornrows were not as nice as I have had done by other hair braider so that is another reason why I will not go back. There are too many African braid shops in Atlanta especially on Candler Road. I went on to inquire about services and prices , the prices were really reasonable and she seemed very knowledgeable about hair and the condition of mine. The whole exchage just made me want to get my hair done right then. So she proceeded to shampoo my natural hair condition it and silk it for 35.00 dollars and when I tell you it looked good!!
