They have a great selection of hard-to-find beauty essentials. That said, the in-store experience can feel a bit... intense. where the moment you walk in, you're met with an immediate, clearly perfunctory "What brings you in today?" greeting, poorly disguised as friendliness and sometimes delivered with an unreasonable level animation and volume. Understandably, I gather there are growing problems with theft in these stores so this is clearly some kind of verbal "pit manuever", anti-theft tactic. Nevertheless, I will say the Staff is surgical at executing these disingenuous greetings (just as instructed, no doubt) , even applying it at well-timed intervals. (Tip: if Customer Didn't need help..5 minutes ago.. They likely don't need help 3 mins later). no wonder this store has such a low rating came to return some items my email receipt wasn't loading and the first lady didn't want to look it up saying that they couldn't do returns without the receipt i asked them if they couldn't look it up and another lady came saying the same thing not giving me a clear answer after so much debate i found my transaction through the app and when the cashier Stephanie still couldn't do anything she somehow found the receipts with my phone number like i had told her she would find if she just took the time to do it all 3 employees seemed like they just didn't want to take the extra step overall horrible experience read more

They discontinued carrying the foundation I liked. And the stuff they do have is never in stock. I was looking for a solution to clean my makeup brushes and the young white girl with long hair kept insisting the asap antiseptic spray aka alcohol is it. I kept telling her no I need to clean my brushes, you can't just spray alcohol and call it a day. Any who I did find a solution but it's for immediate cleaning after using your brush once and then you could use the asap spray as a disinfectant. Two girls stalked me around the store one on each side as if me my daughter and my special needs son were going to rob the place. I'd rather drive to Ulta or Sephora than this place for future needs. read more

Horrible customer service. Attempting to return a $65.99 cordless trimmer today which was purchased on 12-6-2019 I was informed that this item cannot be returned not even for store credit. In an attempt to reach customer service I was placed on eternal hold. Watched out what you buy from these people as you might just get stuck with it. Follow up. Finally got in touch with customer service and they made an exception and told the store to accept the return. read more

To begin this review, my credentials. I've been a licensed hairstylist for over 18 years. I've worked in barbershops, commercialized hair salons and independent salons as well as an independent contractor renting booth stations. In addition to my experience as a hairstylist, I am also very knowledgeable on hair care and hair products for all hair texture types for any race, men or women. Since moving to the high desert, I've had to witness a practice of racial and gender discrimination in the hiring process in these salons and beauty supply stores which, is the reason for this review on the Sally's beauty store locations in Hesperia, CA which specifically includes the Sally's location on Main St. Suite D, Main St. Suite 500 and the location in Victorville, CA on Bear Valley Rd. near Hesperia Rd. I have applied for a job at every single one of these locations only to see that each location hired only young non-African American for these positions that are not even licensed hairstylists or barbers. I applied for a position within these locations as recently as the beginning of 2024, spoke with the hiring manager at location Main St. suite D, was told people were needed, took my information pretending to be interested in interviewing me only to go to this location for supplies two months later to witness a young non-African American trained as a new hire who could not even point me in the right direction to find the appropriate color for a client as I checked to see if this new hire even knew about products which, she had no clue of. Yes, I am a heterosexual African-American male who was seeking a position at one of these locations and has been treated unfairly by the hiring managers of these specified locations. And every time I have gone into location Main St. Suite D to get supplies since applying for a position, the hiring manager, as well as, the lower level employees are disrespectful, extremely immature and most importantly never helpful. This practiced of racial and gender discrimination, extremely poor towards African American men at these locations needs to be thoroughly investigated by somebody or some entity as these people should not be able to continue with these types of practices. read more

Two one star reviews put this on the bottom of my list of beauty supply stores to go to but I needed some things yesterday and after yelping my options this happened to be where I needed to go anyways. Coming in, a huge sign, cash only, walking in I was told cash only and handed a sales flyer right away. Followed and handed another flyer right away, though I still had the first one...WTH? She was helpful, unlike the others stated, but just not upbeat whatsoever (not even sure she had a heartbeat....) You could really tell she wanted to be anywhere but here (and they just opened for the day!) but let me open the packaging to check the quality and I found exactly what I wanted for exactly the price I wanted to spend. They have a huge selection which was great with the cash only aspect since what I wanted was at first close to $200, kept looking and food an equally good product for $50, was bothered to get their sally card for $5 several times (not interested) and off I went. I did get what I want for a good price, but the service, not so nice store and just lack of needing beauty supplies more than once in a blue moon will keep me from coming back I'm sure. read more

Great place to go for many reasons. I normally go when I want to just change up my hair a little and I'm not a hair specialist so anytime I have a question the employees are always right there to answer anything. I can always tell they give their honest opinion and although they know so much about it all if they dont know the answer they aren't afraid to say they aren't sure instead of just giving me the easy answer. I go in every few months and hope that it changes. The staff members can come off as rude at times which is what makes me stop going. I have not had one good experience with them. It is hard to find someone to help on the floor when it comes to questions. They also arent very patient and kind to those who had an accent which is really bothersome. read more

Returns here are horrible! It doesn't matter if you have your receipt. Last time I went in to this store my daughter calls me to the back of store to show me the clearance items & the girl working there walks to the back also. I could not believe she was acting like she was arranging & was totally spying on us. Hilarious like we would really steal clearance nail polish so rude. I personally don't like to be followed when shopping. I feel pressured & I like to take my time & look around when shopping. Please invest in some cameras, totally unprofessional. I went in to get hair dye and this older lady tried to sell me an opened display hair dye that was covered in gunk?! So wrong!!!!

I was greeted immediately upon entering the store. I had one thing in mind that I needed and a young lady asked me if I needed any help. She directed me straight to what I needed. She wasn't able to answer questions about the differences between the products but she found me someone who could. The other young lady was very knowledgeable about the products and really helped me make an informed decision. I even got interested in buying some other items while I was there in which she was also able to help me which items to choose. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I will come back for additional beauty needs. read more

They are very knowledgable about they're products & the how to use them expertise . They are always friendly & welcoming to every guest they have . They are patient , kind & very nice to me. This Sally store is a joke. Do yourself a favor and go to any of the other ones in the high desert. The manager at the store will take it upon herself to just end sales before they're actually supposed to be over. If you ever have to order anything it takes forever to get it and they just keep giving you the run-around telling you to come back. Then when the item you ordered does come in they don't call you and let you know that it's there. A lot of the time when things are on sale you go in and the shelf is empty even on the 1st day it goes on sale. They always seem to have empty shelves in the store making it so that you have to go to another Sally's to get what you need. Better to just skip this store. Go to any other Sally's store in the high desert and you will get better service and actually be able to take advantage of the sales. read more

Absolutely terrible! The worst Sally's ever... In fact, almost the worst customer service ever encountered anywhere. There were at least three associates working the day that I went in. I picked up a few things that I needed and to my surprise there was a sale on one if the items - okay, great! I waited entirely too long to check out. All the while one of the associates was sitting on the floor behind the counter cleaning the shelves or something. But had no interest in cashing me out... making a sale, or upholding any form of customer service for that matter. I wasn't even acknowledged. After minutes of waiting, finally one of them came to ring me up and forgot to apply the sale amount to the applicable item. When I brought it to her attention, she said "oh yeah". Just tacky. Maybe she works on commission and needed the few dollars from not applying the promotion...??! Sad. As a consumer and having worked in customer service over the years, it's shameful and embarrassing to witness. My money is good spent elsewhere. Hire some class and customer oriented employees, Sally's. You've just lost a customer and I will be sure to pass this info along to my family and friends. read more

I've come in here a lot... Some times I have a great experience and some times I don't. I am not a hair stylist but I have a lot of experience with my own hair. So in a sense i do know what I'm doing. I've been given terrible advice by some employees and others great! I feel like maybe if the employee is not a licensed professional they should state so because some advice I've been given could've really damaged my hair had I have listened. But then again I don't know if they hire people that aren't. Overall I feel like this location like most is a hit or miss depending on who is working. read more
