    Breakfast burrito with seasonal veggies.

We simply love this place! Fresh ingredients and wonderful staff. Always a pleasant stop for a nice breakfast.

I've come here more times than I can recall. I drive here just for coffee more often than food but I have had the pleasure of trying a few items from their menu. I've tried their breakfast burrito, avocado BLT, and brisket. The burrito is made well & pairs with the local hot sauce they serve. The avocado BLT has been my favorite, I add a fried egg to it. I was saddened to hear their menu changed for fall but cannot wait to have it again soon. Their blueberry muffins are also really good. I've only ever eaten inside but why also have outdoor seating. The staff are always so pleasant. I can't think of a time I've not had a good experience.. whether dining in or having food to go.

This was my second time visiting with friends for Sunday brunch. The first time we came early enough we were sat right away and the second time we came a little later and there was 45 minute wait. There was a slight kerfuffle with seating where we thought we were getting sat and ended up having to wait 30 minutes but the hostess was super nice and gave us coffee while we waited. The food was excellent, as was the service and the little patio they have out back is great and covered with oversized umbrellas. Will definitely return!

Poppyseed Kitchen is goodness. Stopped in and was promptly seated. Decided to go with the Biscuit and Gravy with eggs over easy. It took a while for the food to come out which was strange because it wasn't that busy yet. Food eventually arrived and the egg was cooked perfectly. The gravy was delicious but the star was the biscuits. They were fantastic. Only drawback for this visit was the service in general not just from the kitchen but also the waitress. Just very slow and again it wasn't that busy yet so not sure what the issue was but the food as noted as really good. If you are looking for a delicious breakfast, stop by Poppyseed.

"The Grit" & a hazelnut latte-perfect as always.

I take myself here on a date every Sunday. And for good reason. I can always rely on Poppyseed to come through with delicious, delicate pastries, a warm, inviting atmosphere and service that is never short of above-and-beyond. While my meal today took some time to come out, the team lovingly let me know (without my asking, I might add) that they took a percentage off of my bill AND had a raspberry croissant with my name on it to take home-to apologize for any inconvenience. After my breakfast, I came home, more than happy with my experience (as usual), and the first thing I did was call my lawyer to rewrite my will and put Poppyseed Kitchen as the #1 beneficiary.

Stuffed French Toast, Bacon side, Mocha Latte

There's a lot of competition these days among breakfast restaurants but I believe Poppyseed Kitchen is the best in the area. This review is a bit of a cheat as I've been here umpteen times previously. However my prior visits were all for pickup orders; my practice is to only post for restaurants I've dined in. So this time I stayed and was rewarded. The Stuffed French Toast, always delicious, was even better without taking it home. The bread still had firmness which gave the dish much more texture. I recommend pairing the toast with a side of bacon, the crispy saltiness provides a wonderful contrast. There are many other excellent choices on the menu. The Ranch Hash is my personal savory favorite. The brisket is in bite-size chunks which add flavor and "heft" to the rosemary potatoes . And try sunny-side up eggs on top for some runny yolk with the hash. Trust me, it's a great combination. And don't forget fresh-baked pastries. A definite highlight, the menu is changed - daily? At least, they never have the same options when I've visited. Homemade pop-tarts, anyone? The service is excellent , the coffee is delicious. And hey, Bob Ross was on the television painting fluffy little clouds as entertainment. Highly recommended!

Too much going on with the grits (for me)

Today wasn't a good experience. Waited forever for our server to come to us (I understand it was busy), our fruit tasted like onion (must've used the same knife to cut). The grits is too busy. Too many things going on. The chicken sandwich was amazing though. Will be coming back for that. Ambiance is great.

Super cute place, great for kids they had games and extras to entertain little ones. The service was incredible and the food was just as good! Would highly recommend.

We went here, a while in the area for a volleyball tournament after seeing the reviews on yelp. So glad we did. The service and the food were excellent. There was a muffin I wanted that they were out of and the sweet waitress brought me a cookie free of charge that she thought I would like based on the muffin. Can't wait to go back.

Food is unbelievable. The ranch hash bowl was the best breakfast meal I've ever had in my life

My go to spot- always delicious. Highly recommend a side of ranch to go with their deliciously crispy fries. Tried my friends iced latte - delish and not overly sweet.

Stopped by late morning. Got lucky with seating because a bunch of early birds were finishing breakfast so it was a very short wait. Sat outside with a nice breeze, feeling like fall is here. Food was delicious. Cups of coffee were constantly refilled! Brisket Hash was perfect. French Toast was delicious for those that need sugar in the morning.

It can get quite busy and loud, so it's not the best place for an intimate conversation, and reservations can sometimes be difficult to get. That said, it's absolutely worth it. The menu changes regularly, so I try to visit whenever they announce a new one. Yesterday, we shared several small plates. The bacon-wrapped dates were phenomenal. I almost ordered a second serving before realizing we still had four other dishes coming! The chicken and waffles definitely satisfied my craving--crispy, savory, and full of flavor. The mushroom ravioli was also outstanding. We finished with the stuffed calamari, which reminded me of something my mom used to make when I was younger. It wasn't Asian-inspired like hers, but the concept brought back some wonderful memories. To top it all off, I enjoyed a delicious dessert while feeling pleasantly tipsy from the evening. I'd call that a win!

OK, I'll just say we had "da** fine" meals. Fresh, seasonal ingredients combined in some unique and surprising ways, beautifully prepared and so, so delicious. Just look at the photos of a selection of our dishes. This was well worth an update of my earlier review. First, Speckled Pear has removed the community seating and the prepared food, bakery and produce counters from my earlier visits and replaced them with true "restaurant" tables. The focus is now squarely on dining, with lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch service. And oh, there's still a wine bar and bottles are still available for purchase. In my humble view a significant positive step. Our servers were excellent, including helpfully explaining some of the wine options (my wife and sister-in-law ordered a flight). Still a fairly casual environment. Great acoustics- I hate echo chambers. We sat close to other guests but were able to easily talk among ourselves without hearing any extraneous neighbor conversations. Dare I say, Speckled Pear is now a {insert tire company name} star-quality dining experience. In Fort Mill! PS - It's a small restaurant which filled quickly and early on the weekday we visited. The décor and vibe give the place a lot of personality, and it made for an enjoyable dinner date for me and my wife. Service was excellent during our visit. She wasn't thrilled with the sauce she chose, which was a bit of a letdown, but everything else we tried hit the mark. I had the 18xx Chicken Sandwich (minus the bun). Glad I went without the bun because that thing would have been a bit of a beast to try and eat as a sandwich. Overall, it's a great spot with a cool atmosphere, and an impressive beer lineup. I feel comfortable recommending though I'd likely try a steak or burger option. Update: Two more visits and I've tried two other entrees: the Ooey-Gooey Grilled Cheese Sandwich and the Spinach and Salmon Salad. I had the salad because I wasn't especially hungry on that visit. It was neither bad nor outstanding. The grilled cheese sandwich was, indeed, as advertised, both ooey and gooey and both in a good way. I'm still interested to try a burger on a future visit. On one of our visits, the kitchen team apparently used the tuna that was meant for my wife's Seared Ahi Tuna Salad for another meal which resulted in an additional 15-minute wait time for our food. Though disappointing, a member of the kitchen staff came to our table to explain that situation which was a professional courtesy move that was professional and respectable.

The food is over the moon delicious with plenty of options and reasonable serving sizes. Even with the slightly high price point, it is well worth every penny. And they take allergies SO seriously! Literally went through a bunch of ingredients to find what would and wouldn't be dairy-allergy safe. Atmosphere is fun but cozy, too. 100% recommend! In-depth: Postino has quickly become one of my favorite places in the CLT area after my 10/10 experience here. To start, the food. My word, it's amazing! Everything my friend and I tried was delicious. The bruschetta is 100% worth trying (the spinach artichoke one is my favorite), and the west coaster panini + romaine salad was tasty at every bite. Their wine is also good quality, with a decent-sized portion poured. Allergy safety is a major thing for them, too. Our server (Lee = the best waitress!) and her manager looked through their bread and ingredients for about 30 minutes to confirm what was and wasn't dairy safe (I asked how dairy allergies are handled for when I bring my husband next time). They also had quite a few gluten-free options, too. The manager explained that she wants people to be able to just come in and relax for a few hours without worrying if they'll get sick, which I truly, truly appreciate. Lee shared a similar sentiment, which was amazing. Now price... Yes, it is a *bit* pricey, but it is well worth it. Nothing felt lacking as far as flavor goes, and the allergy safety is a huge thing. This is one of the few places I felt my sandwich and salad were worth every penny, even if it was $17. Also, their rewards program is great. I got a free bruschetta board, and they offer several other perks. Make sure to sign up before or while dining there to get some good deals! In addition to their sincere care for allergy safety, the service is fantastic all around. They do group service, meaning you'll have several servers, and they encourage you to grab anyone if you have questions. This takes the pressure off of waiting for one server to walk by and really helped me relax. And the atmosphere? I could stay there all day! It's a really fun vibe, but the lighting and seating are very cozy. Overall, I've already recommended this place to 5+ people and will be returning soon
