It always seems like an emergency when something goes wrong with your HVAC. In 13 degree weather we wanted heat. Salmon was great about getting out the same day. Our technician was so wonderful. He was efficient and clearly explained what was wrong with our heater. He even took pictures to show me. We may have to fix a bigger issue down the road but I appreciate that he didn't press the fix before we needed it. I felt like their pricing was fair as well. read more

Had a home built 12 years ago. Salmon HVAC did the heating and air. For 12 straight years we have had issues with this system. We have had them come every 6 months to service and inevitably something happens (freezing up etc) during the summer and we have to make an emergency call. The system in inefficient and incredibly costly (try $500 power bills all summer), SO finally we fired them for maintenance and called another company. This is what the new company said. "Whomever put this in is an idiot. Everything is wrong. Wrong compressor for this house (too big), wrong furnace for this house (too small), completely wrong system etc. Recommend a whole HVAC system. You know, just 8-10 grand... So not only did Salmon mess up in the very beginning, they bandaided the problems for 12 years!! DO NOT USE THEM!! PS by brother had the same issue with his home... read more

Third system we had installed by Salmon. One AC unit last June and now two 96% efficient furnaces with two NEST thermostats included. We ran into a nightmare with our wiring - our home was built in 1960 with multiple remodels done by many different owners. It took three installers 5 extra hours to get the wiring so things did not go as planned. They also had to cut 14 holes into our sheet rock to get it completed. I'm not happy about having to repair the holes, but the Salmon installers were professional, courteous and did what it took to get the job done. Salmon was priced very well and stand by their work and quotes. I recommend them to anyone looking for HVAC needs. read more

Unprofessional Techs and Office Staff. We use to use this Company for both our home and our rental property we will never use them again and will spread the word to people we know to never use there services either. The office staff lacks customer service and there techs are very messy and do not clean up there mess and lack knowledge and experience. We had our rental property HVAC looked at in December of last year but never received a bill for the service call until March of 2019. We were also told at the time by there tech that our unit was bad and a new one would cost $8,000. After getting a second opinion, another company came out and said that the fuse was bad. The fuse was replaced and the unit has been running like a champ. Also on 2 different occasions at our home the techs that serviced our furnace, never bothered to clean up there mess. We sent emails to their office addressing the issues but nobody ever cared to respond back or address the issues. We always try to support local companies but this is a company that I would steer clear from. We feel bad that we have referred people to them and they have had the same experiences that we have had. read more

I have used Salmon HVAC many times, but this last time has pretty much ruined it for me. I had them come last spring (2014) for a Spring tune up. The guy was there for maybe an hour, put 2 pounds of R22 coolant in the system, cleaned the coils, and was off with over $400 of my money. He charged me $50 a pound for the refrigerant, which a quick google search showed me at the time selling for $10 a pound. That's a 500% markup on refrigerant. A year later, as I write this, I see you can still get it for less than $14 a pound. Not only did he grossly overcharge for the coolant, he also double billed me for the service and labor. To top it all off, when we tried to use the A/C the next day, it did not work. The only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of one is because another tech came out that night, fixed the system, and refunded me $100 for the overcharge. They used to be my trusted local HVAC source. So sad to see greed and incompetence take over what used to be a good local company. read more
