Before the appointment, my mom even sent inspiration photos and explained that my sister has very thick hair. The goal was simply to avoid a heavy, blunt cut that would puff out at the bottom...common concern for thick hair. As the haircut progressed, it started looking like exactly what she had hoped to avoid. My sister politely asked if the finished cut was going to be very blunt at the bottom because she was getting a little nervous. Instead of reassuring her or talking through the plan, the stylist responded rudely and then walked away to speak with her manager. When she returned, she said, "Here's the thing. I'm going to finish what I'm doing and then you're leaving. We're not going to charge you." Imagine hearing that while you're sitting in the chair with a partially completed haircut. My sister was completely caught off guard. She isn't confrontational in the slightest and she immediately began crying. Through tears, she simply asked if someone else could at least finish drying or styling her hair for the event she was preparing for. The answer was no. She was told to leave. She walked out with wet, unfinished hair, got into her car and called my mom, sobbing. No one should leave a salon feeling embarrassed, rejected, or humiliated, especially after asking a reasonable question about their haircut! Waiving the charge does not erase the way someone is treated. Kindness, communication, and professionalism cost nothing. I sincerely hope management reflects on how this situation was handled so no one else has to experience what my sister just did. I'm writing this on behalf of my sister because she's understandably upset and is busy trying to salvage her hair before the event. To make matters worse, she's now left with a haircut that looks nothing like what she requested and exactly what she had expressed concern about during the appointment.

pretty disappointed with my appointment. i went to get an updo and it felt very rushed. the entire…read moreappointment was no longer than 20-30 minutes. my appt time was 2:30, i arrived early at 2:10 and was paid and walking out by 2:40. i showed an inspo pic and was told "we'll see what we can do" which didn't make me feel great. she threw up my hair without even considering how it looked in the front, i had to stop her and ask to take out the front strands so the pieces met in the middle and framed my face. of course it still didn't look great and the pieces were uneven and the part wasn't in the center. then the updo was nothing like the inspo pic, which had i known she wasn't able or confident in doing that style i would have pivoted. i was told she was being detailed to make sure the pins were hidden but when i got home and took a closer look i could see them all. i'm frustrated i didn't speak up more.
