I had a very disappointing experience with Jasmin (@hairwithjasmin). [[HIGHLIGHT]]I originally found her on Instagram and communication from the start was difficult. I had to repeatedly follow up to confirm the appointment time and address.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]On the day of my appointment, I arrived and messaged her to let her know I was there. My husband was with me, and she did not come over to greet or introduce herself. Instead, I was left waiting until the salon manager had to step in and inform her that I was there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] During the appointment itself, things seemed fine. She blow-dried and curled my hair so I could see the results. I paid in full, including tip, and left the salon without noticing any immediate issues. However, a few days later, when I went to style my hair into a slick bun (which is required for my sister's wedding), I noticed significant blotchiness and dark spots throughout my blonde hair on the top of my head. It was very noticeable and not what I expected after a professional service. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I reached out to Jasmin early in the morning and did not receive a response until several hours later.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When she did respond, she said she did not have time to fix my hair and suggested I go to another stylist and ask them to correct it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I explained that I needed her to fix it before the wedding, but she said she could only see me two weeks later.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked if she could recommend someone at the salon or make any effort to help resolve the issue sooner, but she declined.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I also offered flexibility with my schedule, including weekends, but was told she was not comfortable servicing me and she ultimately refused to fix the problem. As a paying client, I was very disappointed that the issue was not addressed, especially given the timing before an important event. I will have to end up having to seek another stylist at additional cost to correct the work. Overall, I would not recommend based on my experience, particularly due to the lack of communication, professionalism, and willingness to resolve a service issue. I've been looking for a good hair salon for a while now and randomly found Salon 29:11 on Groupon. Decided to give it a try based off the Yelp reviews and made an appointment. After I called to book an appointment, I was pleasantly surprised to get a text message confirmation. They also called me the day of my appointment to let me know the street was closed for a parade and to take an alternative route. The salon itself had a hipster feel to it. Loved the decor! Sanaz was not super chatty which I really appreciated. When you have 2 small kids at home who talk nonstop and you can finally get away for a haircut after half a year, it's nice to just be able to relax, soak in the atmosphere and enjoy the silence without having to force chit chat. She was pleasant, efficient, and finished my haircut in 40 mins including the blow dry. It was obvious that she knew what she was doing and the razor technique to help thin out my hair was amazing! All the girls there seemed very laid back and pleasant. I didn't feel rushed or judged for my thickness of hair. It was a very relaxing experience. She took my horribly highlighted and toned hair and turned it into a sleek beautiful ombré.
