"Mother of the Groom" Hair & Make-Up,,, I had a 7:30AM appt with Donna on the morning of my son's wedding. Donna gave me her undivided attention for almost two hours. She was chatty and friendly and the time flew by. My make-up lasted all day, it included false eyelashes and I received many compliments on my hair and make up. When I looked in the mirror after her make-up application, I requested a few more touches and she happily complied and added what I wanted. I've been going to Maria for 3 years and she is the absolute best... She is now at salon 463 and the place is awful. The owner Donna overbooks and double booked clients. I went in for a root touch up and highlights and it took 3 hours... The color was left on my head for an hour because Maria kept getting pulled away for the client that Donna booked her. Okay can we talk about how much I hate getting my hair cut? Because I normally dread it. I had been looking for a good place to go to because I wanted a change and this place was recommended to me. I contacted them on Facebook and Donna the owner was super sweet and helpful and we set up an appointment for a consultation and then cut/color! I felt welcomed in immediately. The salon is very nice and clean and all the ladies that work there are super nice! After talking over what we were going to do to my hair we got to work! I wanted mine cut and to have a rose gold color done so we picked the best option for me which would be to highlight my hair and do a glaze on top rather than stripping the color from all of my hair! It seriously turned out so beautiful it was he best cut I have ever had and the first time I got it colored. It is the hair I have always wanted. I made an appointment to go back in 6 weeks. I recently had my hair done my Shannon and am impressed with her skill and experience. I had asked for just a trim, and a single process color to simply spice up my natural color, and she exceeded my expectations. I have been unhappy and skeptical about haircuts for awhile since everywhere I go, they cannot seem to give me simple long layers. Shannon not only fixed the fiasco, but she blended my hair and made it even without taking away much of the length. As for the color, she gave me a semi permanent that was simply a step up from my natural color, which offered a subtle change that I appreciated and would not hate in the morning. I will be returning to this salon, and to Shannon, to keep my hair in tip top shape, Overall experience of the salon itself is that the location may be difficult to find at first, but once you find it, and walk through the door, you will appreciate the layout and ease of getting to the different stations. My only suggestion would be for the shampoo girl to be a bit more personable and communicate with the client. Also to try not to get water all over the client or leave them sitting and waiting in a chair with hair that is dripping wet. read more

I've been getting my hair cut with Colleen for over a year now, and there hasn't been a time when I walked out not feeling fully satisfied with the way my hair looks. Throughout the process of having my hair wash, cut, and blow dry, Colleen thoroughly takes her time completing each task. I'm always amazed at her attention to details. I rarely go back to the same salon twice. I rarely travel far for a haircut. Yet, I've been going to Salon 463 for about a year now, and I live at least 30 minutes away! The salon is a small space, with maybe 4 chairs for hair cutting, 2 chairs for pedicures and 2 tables for manicures. Make sure to call in advance for appointments! It's not The building looks more like a house, and the sign is pretty difficult to spot from the road. Ask the receptionist for directions when you make your appointment. The salon has different monthly specials that they advertise well on both their website and an email mailing list. I love when businesses don't hide sales and coupons! As an extra sale, they have been doing 20% off services on Mondays as well. I always ask for Nikki when I go. She is really easy to talk to, and always gives me great advice on my hair. She's also quick and efficient, and never sloppy, which is nice since I sometimes have to go to work after my appointment. I always have an easy, breezy time when I go and leave feeling much happier than when I walked in! She even hand painted a cute design on my nails once, and it looked awesome. This salon is Horsham's best kept secret. I came here on a Groupon and have been coming back ever since. I've had my hair straightened, colored and highlighted several times. My hair cuts are wonderful and much less costly than most salons in the area. I am always receiving compliments on my hair style and color. The salon is small and comfortable. It's a very friendly atmosphere. They offer late hours so it's never difficult to get an appointment In addition to hair they offer nail services and tanning. I hate to write this review because the young woman that took care of my pedicure was delightful. That being said, it was one of the worse pedicures I've ever had. The salon was clean but really is more of a hair place than a nail place. There are only two pedicure chairs. The chairs were very nice and they had a decent color selection. I called about an hour before close and they said they could fit me in so I rushed over. The salon was empty besides a woman finishing up a hair cut and the receptionist who did my nails. Unfortunately, I do not believe the woman who did my nails was ever trained. She cut down my nails but did not bother with the cuticles. And did a solid job of scrubbing my foot to remove the dead skin, but did not put anything on the file and just went to town on my rapidly drying foot. The 50 minute pedicure was nearly a half hour and involved about 30 seconds of foot massaging. Additionally the polish was put on sloppily and was never applied to the ends she had just clipped. And all of this cost me $38! read more

Purchased a voucher for a service here. After my hair was shampooed the stylist(Nikki) and I realized there was a misunderstanding regarding using the voucher. Nikki was great in trying to help come up with a solution and still provide the service. She was very professional and helpful. The owner, on the other hand, (Donna) was incredibly rude. She tried to argue with me and told me she spoke to me on the phone when I scheduled my "haircut" appointment. When I told her I never spoke to her and was not there for a haircut she did not acknowledge her mistake or rude tone and continued to be argumentative. She refused to even attempt to help rectify the situation and I wound up having to leave with no service (and wet hair). I called first thing this morning and I believe spoke to the owner who was very accommodating about getting me in on such short notice. I saw Courtney she was very friendly and I was overall happy with my hair. I noticed once I left that I had a large amount of dye all over my face on both sides. I decided to call and Courtney answered and told me that it would wash off with water and that she was sorry but she didn't notice it. I 100% believe her but this is where my issue is. That the amount of dye that was on my face was just looked over and this is basic. This afternoon the owner called and was nice and apologized. I did tell her that I would be leaving a review. And she stated that she wished we could resolve this without being "mean". I was shocked to hear this! That my opinion was me being mean. So due to the last conversation I did have to drop it from a four to a five. I would not have been going back regardless because to me the little things are what matter. I tried this salon twice. Nikki did my hair both times, and she was really nice. She listened and made recommendations for my hair, and took the time to do the job right, and I felt really happy to have found a new salon and stylist that I really liked. I needed my hair cut recently, and was looking forward to going back for a third visit, so I called and asked if I could schedule an appointment with Donna (the owner) this time.I like Nikki and would definitely go back to her again, but I just wanted to try another stylist, too, because I can't always make my appointments very far ahead of time due to a crazy and ever changing work schedule, and having more than one stylist in the same salon that can do my hair makes it easier for me to get an appointment when I need one last minute. It gives me more options. This approach has always worked well for me in the past, and most stylists understand my situation when I explain it to them, and are willing to work with me without hard feelings. Any salon that truly operates as a team will not have a problem with a client trying different stylists within the salon. I chose to try Donna, because I had seen her do a really nice style on someone with thick, long hair like mine, so I thought she'd be a good person to try. When I arrived at the salon for my appointment, even though I had explained in detail why I was trying someone new when I called, the person who made my appointment obviously never relayed that information to either of the stylists, so there was confusion. Donna didn't know why I was scheduled with her, since I usually go to Nikki, so she asked her to do it, but Nikki didn't want to do it because she was getting ready to leave for the day. It was awkward and uncomfortable, because I felt like neither of them wanted to do my hair. I explained (again) to Donna that I had made the appointment with her, so then she finally took me back to the shampoo bowl and did a quick consultation, but she really didn't seem genuinely interested in taking a little time to help me figure out what to do with my hair. After my shampoo, Donna was combing through my hair at lightning speed, it felt like my hair was being ripped out of my head. She was really rough and seemed stressed. That's when she told me how overbooked and behind schedule she was. When your stylist tells that they are way behind schedule, and they haven't even started your hair yet (especially if you are a new client and not one of their "regulars"), it's not a good sign. It usually means that you are going to be rushed through the process as quickly as possible so they can make up the time, and that is exactly what happened in my case. My haircut was sloppy and uneven, and my bangs were chopped much shorter than I had requested. To make things even worse, when it was finished, they charged me $50 for which was ten dollars over the price that they had quoted to me on the phone, so I told the receptionist that I was not happy about being quoted one price, and then charged another. She just made excuses. As I was leaving, one of the other customers who was waiting then gave me the stink eye for speaking up - as if I was the one who was out of line! I was so disappointed and disgusted with the whole experience, and I just couldn't wait to leave the salon. So, basically, what should have been a pleasant and relaxing experience, turned out to be miserable and stressful one, and no one cared that I left as an unhappy customer. The haircut and service that I received was NOT worth the price I paid, and I felt really ripped off. Upscale prices should mean better quality and service, and that is not what I received in this case. This is the worst salon experience that I have ever had, and I will not be going back to this place ever again. I realize that people get defensive when someone writes a negative review, so I expect that right after mine is published someone else will go on and talk about what a wonderful experience they had with Donna at the salon (as if that timing isn't obvious...lol), but that doesn't mean my complaint isn't legitimate. A good business owner who received a negative review would try and resolve the situation, and no matter how many positive reviews they get from other people, that still doesn't make how they treated me acceptable. read more

No matter if it's just a simple cut or her taking her time to color my hair she always goes above and beyond to make my hair look great!! Screw. This. Place. Booked myself an appointment for cut/color and they were able to fit me in the next day. Worked with Shannon, who seemed very nice and knowledgeable. Wanted to go blonder, and Shannon was great with her consultation and we managed to get me to a dark blonde. It was a tad brassy, but overall looked good and was a nice change from what I had. Fast forward a week later, my hair has been washed twice and the toner looks completely gone and I'm left with orange hair (my bf referred to me as 'mac n cheese head'). I called back for another appointment, and the person I spoke to on the phone and I both agreed I probably just needed more toner. I come to the appointment and who I assume is the owner gives me a consultation. Looking at my hair she's going through criticizing the work from my last appointment ("I wouldn't have used the toner she did". "I don't know why she didn't fix this before you left the first time"). Yet after this has the nerve to say that the whole process must be done again, at FULL COST ($225 sans tip). I was expecting just to pay for more toner. When I said no, she then tried to talk me into expensive highlights. Hold on...you were just criticizing how my hair was done previously and you expect me to put my trust and money into hoping you wont f*** it up again? I understand going blonde is a very long process, but having orange hair in the interim is unacceptable. Owner was very defensive, started making me feel ridiculous for being dissatisfied which made me livid to the point of tears. Please take responsibility for a less than satisfactory dye job, or at the VERY LEAST show some respect for your client when they express that they are unhappy. read more
