I was so nervous because I've had such bad experiences at other salons (even a big name salon). She was so welcoming and really listened to what I wanted. I did show her some inspo fotos. I felt very comfortable after our consultation. She was very meticulous with her work. She took her time and demonstrated precision and patience (she is a perfectionist). Fast-forward to the end, I was so happy. My hair looked so much healthier and she literally did exactly what I wanted. I have been back since then, and will continue to go back as long as she will keep me as a client. I took my mother-in law to Aisha when she came to visit (she was having issues at other salons as well) and was absolutely amazed. She now gets her hair cut with Aisha when she is visiting from Little Rock. I would love to gate-keep her but it would be so unfair. She's so talented and kind. But sweet Jesus, total girl crush. First: Dada itself is a small cozy shop... complete with a disco ball and David Bowie over the waves. Major, major props for that. First of all, she's an absolute dreamboat. I love love love when I envy my stylist's hair, and hers I most definitely did. But when I walked out of the salon I've got to admit that I envied no one's hair, because mine is perfect. I have asked for truly red hair for years, even using terms like "orange," "bright," and "vermillion" that others may typically shy away from. But I typically walk out with the same 'do, a lovely strawberry shade that is all parts pretty but no parts badass. Now, my hair is the perfect combination of both. Jessica was sure to explain the maintenance that comes with red hair which I appreciated and I feel like she really did her best to make my hair look stellar without it being crazily cost-prohibitive. I felt totally at ease in Jessica's chair, and after three hours felt like I had just spent the afternoon chatting with a great friend than having an awkward stumbling conversation with a total stranger. If you're looking for something different and innovative, I recommend Jessica with all that I've got. She's the first stylist in Atlanta with whom I really, honestly, truly look forward to having a repeat visit. Atlanta, I can now officially stick around. I heard from many locals that this is the place to get your hair cut done and done right. As an Asian Male, there is truly something unique about our hair. As long as you are flexible with anyone to cut your hair, then you can be seen ASAP. I always call beforehand and I always get to be seen same day within the next 2 hours. I only had two people cut my hair here, Michelle and Ken???? Ken is a new guy with dyed hair and speaks limited English. Michelle has been doing this for a while. I loved their old location but this new location definitely helps their salon shine. Lots of natural lighting and room for them to really allow an open space concept with seating throughout for others to see the magic happens. For the price of $28 before tip for a male's haircut, I think it is a fair price to ask in this economy and prime location. Hairwashing and shampoo is included for before and after the cut. Also if you want them to style your hair and prepare it for the day then that is also included with gel/wax/hair spray (your choice). Use cash if you can to avoid the 3% credit charge fee. I come here, get an amazing shampoo/head massage experience to start, then a cut, followed by a blow dry and hair straightened! And it's reasonably priced! Way less than the other salons I've gone to where i paid $75+ and walked out the salon with my hair still wet because it was extra $$ for a blow dry.
