I walked in without an appointment and was lucky to get immediate service! The salon is big, clean and those repurposed church pews are awesome. So I walk in and they check your temperature. I see them wiping down and cleaning spaces and everyone had on masks. The hair wash was great! Jermaine has magic hands! I would come here just for the the wash!! The salon and beautician were very nice. I received what I asked for with a additional cost. I don't understand the whole a la cart hair services thing. If I get a shampoo I should receive a standard conditioner at no extra cost but hey.... I couldn't give 5 stars because even though there weren't a lot of folks in the shop it took a while between washing and blowing and then a good wait to be styled. Other than that I was basically satisfied with the outcome. It was alright. read more

I was staying in downtown Atlanta for business and needed my hair done. I did a Google search of "salons near me" and checked reviews. She Salon had the highest reviews. I called early morning for an appointment.. Gina asked me if I could come in immediately. As I walked in, I was promptly greeted and serviced. Gina and her staff were amazing and friendly. The salon was immaculate and beautifully decorated. I felt like this was "my" salon. My hair turned out sooooo amazing. In fact, it was one of the best "stylings" that I've had with this haircut. SHE SALON is my new hair salon when I'm in town. Matter of fact, I'll just book a flight and visit periodically because Gina is just that talented! read more

My mom told me about this salon during my visit home to Atlanta and I'm so glad she did. I had been transitioning to natural hair and was ready for a big chop. Mom called me in for a last minute appointment with Barry who was able to squeeze me in early in the morning on a Friday. After a thorough wash and a deep conditioning steam treatment, Barry got to work on a meticulous cut using hand scissors, time and an eye for detail. He then re-washed, conditioned and set my curls - literally changing my life with this new cut. I LOVED the experience in this cute space and felt right at home with the friendly staff. I was also frankly shocked at how little Barry charged for the cut considering the attention to detail and deep conditioning and care that he used with my hair. The only thing I regretted about going to this salon is that I won't be able to regularly come back when I head back home to Texas. read more

If you are looking for a professional salon/stylist that seeks status by sending her clients out looking fabulous instead of feeding her own diva image this is the wrong place. I do my own hair but occasionally go in to have it professionally (I hope), relaxed, conditioned and shaped. My stylist was Gina Palmer. I came out of this place with my hair dry and breaking. I couldn't believe it because the reviews are so glowing. I didn't have my guard up because I knew this would be a great experience. She wanted to do some things to my hair and I told her we could but not now, later. Was she showing me who's boss? I have stopped the damage and am repairing my hair. In January 2017 I decided to cut my long thick hair, not for the big chop - but simply for styling purposes. I liked the initial cut that I received at another Atlanta salon, but I did not like the service or the professionalism of the stylist and staff. So, I decided to find another shop. I walked into She Salon in March of 2017, and the first person I saw was Barry. He welcomed me as if he knew me for years. I showed him a picture of the style that I was interested in, he immediately gave me a consultation, and scheduled me to come in the very next day!!! Barry has always been extremely professional and interpersonal in the sense that he likes to build relationships with his clients. I have been going to Barry consistently since March. He is the best stylist I have ever had. All the staff of this salon, exude the same qualities: friendly, professional and fabulous. I got my hair dyed and cut back in May, and both were a huge disappointment. The shampoo assistants were super sweet, but the finished look was terrible. Paid an arm and a leg for a dye job 50 shades darker than I asked and a cut that came out wrong, as he seems only to know how to do ONE cut on ALL his clients. I asked for sky blue and light purple/lavender and got navy blue green and midnight purple. To add insult to injury, I left the shop with my hair unstyled and my head wet. I don't understand why my hair couldn't have been styled some type of way after getting a cut and two colors. I saw that the shop had great reviews, but I didn't realize that that did not mean all the stylist are good. Unfortunately, my hair was butchered, and the stylist got an attitude when I asked for a PARTIAL refund to be sent promptly. As of today, I shaved my head because I hated the look. Beware of the stylist Barry. He's friendly but does not perform the style you asked for and unprofessional when you express your unsatisfaction. read more
