I found Love Lane when searching for a closer alternative. Downtown is 3 miles away and the walk is very pleasant; it is a treat by itself. Add to that, the pleasant environment of the salon and the cute area it is situated. Plus, they did a very good job in taming my unruly curls into a sleek undamaged mane. They offer you drinks. (Not booze), but nice iced sparkling flavored water. It grounds you into a zen sate of mind. The perm straightening does not smell of chemicals. You don't get burning eyes during the process. The perm looks better and better as the days go on. Not sure what brand they are using. I remember when the keratin perm first began, the stink of the ammonia and the fumes would burn nostrils and eyes. Love lane has become my regular spot. I must be a very boring customer for them, because I only go there for the silk press and regular trims to the ends. Nonetheless the treat me well.

The people in the salon were nice and I came in with an idea of what I wanted for color. Leo explained the color wheel and how they were going to blend the demarcation line and tone my roots. It must've been a busy day because they ran out of hot water for washing hair. When it came time to apply the color I feel like Leo was very hands off as another stylist applied the color under his instruction. I saw a lot of old balayages with toner that blended beautifully with a nice gradient on Leo's IG but I feel like I didn't necessarily get that same treatment. As I sat in the chair two other customers came in and I feel like his focus was on the other two girls so much so that he asked me if it was okay that he doesn't style my hair and stated "but you won't leave the salon with wet hair" I was very surprised but they at least blew dry my hair after rinsing the color out. $200ish with tip and a month and half later the state of my hair is as pictured even after following strict instructions to use color safe shampoo and washing infrequently with no heat tools. Overall a disappointing experience for me.

She was friendly and talkative without feeling like she had to talk to me the entire time. She did a fantastic job and I will absolutely go back to see her again. The whole appointment (wash, cut, dry and style) took about an hour and cost $95 (I have relatively long hair, I believe they quote a price range to account for length). The salon itself was busy and a bit loud. It is very bright (likely because they do hair and makeup) and felt more like a party rather than a relaxing place/spa. They have a ton of staff so I was taken back right away. When I went, both men and women were there for haircuts and someone was getting their makeup done. I would absolutely go back and go to Senait again.

I went back recently to bleach my hair and I was so shocked by how good it came out - and in only 4-5 hours! This really pissed me off because in the middle of my appointment, I even heard an assistant ask in Mandarin "is she getting a haircut?" and the stylist shook his head. I was really unhappy with my hair that I went to get a hair treatment (for the dry, damaged hair) and toner at a different salon a week later. That stylist even asked "who did your hair?"
