Early morning, I walked in. I didn't have an appointment. There was one cosmetologist on the right side cutting a client's hair and one cosmetologist on the left side cutting a client's hair. Both cosmetologist's saw me walk in and stand at the counter. Neither cosmetologist did anything but continue cutting their clients hair. Neither said "hello" or "I'll be right with you"... nothing. The first time I went here, I had (sorry I'm bad with names) but she had blond hair and was tall, super nice and listened to how I wanted my hair cut and it turned out perfect. I finally found a place that doesn't have me walking out of there in tears. There are not as many reviews on yelp as there should be so I thought I'd add my experience. I had decided to grow out my super short undercut pixie 6 months ago and the grow out was looking scraggly. Charlee was my stylist and he did an amazing job. He really made me feel comfortable and listened to what I wanted. The results looked better than I had imagined. The lady who checked me in was very friendly and welcoming which is what you want when you first step into any shop. The shop was super cute and had tons of gift items you could purchase . To be fair, this rating only applies to one particular stylist here. The salon itself is fine since I've previously had my hair done by Alicia with an overall satisfactory experience. Kelsey, on the other hand, fell far short of my expectations. Due to my impulsiveness and quickly growing roots, I couldn't wait to get on Alicia's schedule and decided to get my hair done by a different stylist some months ago. To put in short, that was the first mistake I've made since Kelsey F-ed up my hair 2 times in a row ever since then. The first time she did my hair, my highlights came out really brassy blonde and I had to go back to her the next day to request for a color correction. Even after that, my roots were still pretty much uncorrected in terms of color. Parts of my hair were also colored unevenly, from roots to tips. Granted that she showed some efforts in correcting her mistakes, I decided to book her again this time since Alicia didn't have any opening in her schedule to fit with my availabilities. Since she's had 2 opportunities to work on my hair, I thought she'd have a head-start on how it should be done this time. FAIL. I basically feel like I just relived the same experience again, in that my hair came out horribly unevenly colored. Parts of my hair at the root section STILL turned out darker than the rest of the layers, and when I pointed this out to her, she just asked "what do you want me to do about it?" Well, first, I'm a paying customer, not a teacher. If I knew how to do my own hair, why the hell would I pay anyone else to do it in the first place? Second, this isn't the first time the same issue has happened. I might be too optimistic in thinking that she'd improve her skills by this point, but sadly, I was wayyyyyy wrong. To say the experience was disappointing would be an understatement. Needless to say, I'll only be going to Alicia from now on. read more

This place and the owner Christy are so unprofessional I had an emergency the night before my appointment so I wasn't able to come in and I woke up to the most unprofessional voicemail from THE OWNER CHRISTY demanding my credit card. On the voice male her tone was beyond rude and she referred to me as "you guys" and said that we always do this?!?! All the expertise and style, none of the pretense! I've had manicures and polish changes with Katie and just had a haircut with Kelsey. They are both awesome stylists! There seems to very little turnover at the salon, so you don't have to worry about your stylist not being there in two months, or the price of a haircut going up drastically from one visit to the next! I went in on Friday afternoon, my hair was a COMPLETE DISASTER. Every once in a while I let it go unkempt and it was a total rats nest. I thought for sure I was going to have to shave it all off! Worst Experience Ever - I went in for a touch up, and came out with broke off hair, horrible color. Didn't follow my current color, stylist just did what she wanted, regardless of what we discussed during consultation. I escalates it to management with no resolution as of yet. It's been more than 20 days so far. Owner advises the stylists are all contractors and she's not responsible for what happened to me. Very disappointed in the level of customer service, significant hair loss, breakage, over processing, and literally one of the worst experiences in a salon. I never write negative reviews, but until I get a resolution to what happened to me. I will post my feedback for others to beware, be leary of going into a salon where the manager/owner does not support the customer. read more

Great place, I've been going there for 8yrs. Best hairstylist is renelyn ably konkler. She is amazing at color cuts extensions makeup updos. You name it she is your gal. The salon is very welcoming, all the staff is very nice. The owner is there everyday so things are up to a very high standard. I have been to so many hair salons in the past 4 years and no one could ever do my hair right. I have natural strawberry blonde hair and I now have blonde hair. Every time I go to get my hair redone it has a tint of orange and even toner can't fix it. I went to Salon Amore to see if something would be different and I was so amazed. Alysha did my hair and she was absolutely amazing! She bleached my hair with the right mixture and no toner was needed and there is no orange tint at all!
