I had an amazing experience with Julea at Salon Bella Mia having my first set of eyelash extensions applied and I could not be more thrilled! Julea, the owner, is a very caring, attentive professional, but she is also a very beautiful human being inside and out. I did ALOT of research on where to go for a realistic look. I have seen many bad eyelash jobs....There are a ton of things you need to keep in mind before getting extensions. First, and most important is who you choose to apply them. Finding the right person to do your lash extensions is a lot like choosing a tattoo artist, or a hairstylist, or cosmetic surgeon: There are a lot of bad ones out there, so it's worth doing your research to find the good. I asked around to who my friends were going to, and what their experience was like. I did not want a deal or a Groupon. In the end, you get what you pay for, which brings me to my second piece of advice: Be careful if you're looking for deals. Lash extensions are a lot easier to screw up than they are to get right. I have many friends who have had badly done extensions which tear out your real lashes and can cause infection. I was a little apprehensive about crying throughout the entire session, and the thought of someone being all up in my tear ducts makes me tear up just thinking about it. BUT I barely knew it was happening. There I was, flat on my back, while Julea took a seat above my head. I couldn't even feel her separating each lash with her tweezers and gluing a longer lash onto it. The whole process of giving me a full set took about two and a half hours. She said most people fall asleep during the procedure which shows just how noninvasive it is - I was nervous and she was just the right amount of chatty and quiet to keep my nerves still. OK, I have lived in VB for two years now and have had a horrible time finding a stylist and a salon where I felt comfortable. Most of the stylist have all been nice, but just didn't' do what I requested. I took off and did nothing to my hair for a while so needless to say it was a mess. I showed up at Salon Bella Mia, with pretty low expectations, and was I ever wrong. This place is amazing. All of the stylists and the owner were all so warm and helpful. I can't express the instant bond and trust that was created with Brenda. I showed her two different looks I was thinking about and she steered me towards the one she knew would work best with my hair in the condition it was in. After spending time with her, she is a great new friend. I was there for a while and when the ladies were planning their lunch, they included me. I have NEVER had anyone that worked in a salon do that. Sure they all offer coffee and water, but these ladies went the extra mile. Yes, I will go back. Just had my hair done today and wow! My hair looks better than it ever has and I have David to thank. He was able to make my hair look even better than I had envisioned...he really knows his stuff and will take the time to figure out exactly what will work for your hair. I got a haircut, deep conditioning treatment, and balayage, and he explained everything to me, which I appreciated as I barely know anything about hair care lol. I could easily turn this into a review on David alone, but I will also share my impression of other aspects of this salon :) Salon Bella Mia was easy to find, parking is ok. It's a little on the smaller side, but I'm a fan of that! It was very quiet when I went, as it was Wednesday morning. The decor is nice, clean, and sleek, the the owner (I think her name is Julea) was nice and welcoming. I don't know if it is always the case, but the owner's dog was in the salon while I was there. It wasn't an issue for me (if anything it made me happy to see a cute dog), and she was very well behaved, but if you have allergies you might want to be prepared for that. *PLEASE READ*My appointment was for balayage, conditioner, and a cut (saw the deal on Groupon-the owner, "Julia, told me not to purchase the Groupon bc they'd honor that price, red flag). I have long darker hair with Carmel balayage and wanted to go lighter. The stylist took 2.5 hours just to "paint" my hair. She brought me to the bowl to rinse off and rinsed half my hair and left me in the bowl for 30 min, not the most comfortable position, because the other half of my hair wasn't ready. After I was brought to the chair for my cut... I have, well I had longer hair, and wanted a good chunk cut off to leave me with two inches below my shoulder blades. Well she cut just at the shoulder blades. I couldn't really tell what color my hair was bc my hair was wet and I didn't have my glasses on. She began to blow dry I knew something was way off. My hair was ORANGE, a brassy box color fake blonde orange!!! Before my hair was completely blow dried and before I could even my put my glasses on the owner and another stylist (Brenda) came up to me and said that if I wasn't happy with my hair It would be fixed. Mind you...I've been here for nearly 5 hours now! I put on my glasses and boo who cried...luckily Brenda and Ashley were able to "fix" my hair BUT I write this review because I was still charged $169 and now my hair is turning green. I came in on April 11th for my haircut at your salon. I can show that prior to that I was regularly getting a haircut every two to three weeks. I never came back to your Salon or had Chelsea cut my hair again, did I? As I stated in my review, my experience, with Chelsea, was interrupted after you had her call a potential customer back to dissuade them from even bothering with your Salon since they were already complaining about your Groupon pricing. I had to explain to my daughters after we left what was going on as they didn't understand why a business wouldn't want a customer to come in. They asked why more than one person had to work on my hair while they waited and watched. BAIT and SWITCH equals FRAUD scheme on Groupon. I wish I had read more reviews before purchasing. I purchased a Groupon for a haircut, deep conditioning, and partial highlights, with the highlights being all that I needed. I have very thin hair, layered so it is not long at the top, which is what would have been covered in a partial. I have had highlights for years, and told the stylist that I needed only the roots, which was less than 2" for most, ...but again my hair is sparse and not long where they would be applying this. However, I was told that the Groupon partial highlight that I purchased covered only 15 foils, so I would need to pay an ADDITIONAL SIXTY DOLLARS for another bowl of highlighter in order to get a partial highlight comparable to what I would get at another salon. I reiterated how thin my hair was, and that I only needed a minimal amount of product since my hair had been recently done, without results. She went in to the fine print that talks about charges for additional services, despite the fact that the amount of product she would be using was minimal. I always anticipate the usual charges for long hair, but that is not the case with a partial....it is only roots. The Groupon's value was $140, and I paid $69. They expected me to pay $60 more ($129 total), which would have been more than the price of FULL highlights ($125) for this service, when all I needed was partial highlights (I only took the other services because they were bundled into the price). For $26 more, I could have purchased a Groupon for FULL highlights (the vendor would have received only their share of this, which is still much less than the $60 I was going to be charged). Their website indicates that the price difference between a Partial Foil Highlight--$75 (which is what I purchased) and FULL HIGHLIGHTS ($125) is only $50, so they expected me to pay more for partial highlights with the Groupon than I would have paid by purchasing the FULL highlights alone. ($69 for the Groupon, plus $60, totaling $129) Here is what the numbers work out to be: Website states prices for what I was seeking: Haircut ($45) + Partial Highlights ($75)= $125. I assume the balance of the $140 stated value from which the amount is discounted is the conditioner. So to add $60 on to the value of the Groupon ($140), I should receive services valued at $200. If I were to purchase Full Highlights ($125) with haircut ($45) =$170, I would still have spent less than they were trying to gouge me for. There is no way that this company could have been able to expect a regular value of $200 for this service. The salon is using Groupon to advertise their business, but punishing the clients for coming in with a Groupon by upcharging to make up their costs. It is not the customer's fault for purchasing a Groupon. They need to honor their advertising and not constantly upcharge to recoup their costs of advertising. read more

I got a groupon for haircut for my kid and it was the worst haircut. I wish I could share the pics, it looked like a rat has eaten the hair from random places. They were not evenly trimmed. I even showed her places where hair were coming out and she was simply spraying the water and aligning the hair instead of cutting them. I could have cut it better myself. I was hesitant at first since no reviews but I'm so glad I took the chance and met Brenda!! It was me and my three girls. My oldest saw Alexa and the rest of us saw Brenda. My kids ages run from 10,7 & 6. My oldest has very thick curly hair - Alexa was patient and kept my oldest talking. Brenda was awesome, we vibe and she did such an awesome job on all of our hair!! I called on Thursday and was able to get a good appointment time for that Saturday! Julea greeted me at the door and led me back to the pipeless basin. Having had a knee replacement, I must be very careful about pedicures. Must avoid infections. Julea was very professional, knowledgeable and explained why her system is best. I came across Salon Bella Mia on Groupon. The salon is mostly geared toward hair services, but the owner took me in by appointment to have my nails done in the evening. She did a wonderful job. I know it was not easy to remove my old gel polish, but my nails were smooth and the pink polish was perfect for Spring! The owner was very careful to even out the paint and she even painted underneath the tips. For those who are wondering, the salon itself is new so everything is clean with a fresh, modern look. I needed to get my highlights touched up. My regular salon was booked so I started looking on Groupon. That's how I found my regular salon and had excellent results. Salon Mia Bella had a Groupon for 72.00. A cut, intense conditioning, partial highlights and blowout. I thought not a bad deal? I would have to pay an additional 50 for dense hair or length. I was even ok with that. So Chelsea did everything up until the blowout portion. As she was putting gel in my hair, I asked if she was blowing it out. She said yes but it won't be straight and flat ironing is 50.00 more. I was like what? Any blowout consists of flat ironing otherwise it's half assed. Wish there was an option to give zero stars. This place is a scam and has terrible customer service. Definitely wish I read more of the reviews. I have gotten my hair done the same for years and have never had any issues until now. My usual girl just had a baby so isn't doing hair currently. I decided to look on Groupon to find someone else since I had such success with that the last time. Salon Bella Mia was offering a haircut, balayage, and deep conditioning treatment all for $149 (a $265 value it said). Then it had a 30% discount on top of that making it $104.30, a $160.70 savings. After ensuring availability, the manager told me to send over a screenshot of the Groupon and that she would honor that deal. When I got there, my stylist Courtney up charged me $150, bringing the total to over $250. I understand there are additional charges with Groupons for longer hair and extra toner but I have never paid that much in my life even for full price. Courtney insisted the Groupon was applied and that that would be the total cost to get my hair to my liking. So to put this into perspective, without the Groupon of a $160.70 savings, that would mean the original price was over $400, not including tip! I do realize my hair is longer but it shouldn't be THAT much more. Nevertheless, I don't have a lot of free time to reschedule somewhere else so hoped for that price, it would at least be done well. I am more than willing to pay a higher amount for quality service (to which I thought I'd be getting)... unfortunately that was not the case. My appointment started at 4:30 in the afternoon on 11/11/21 and I ended up leaving around 8 pm when it was pitch dark out. As Courtney was finishing up, I felt very rushed. She never gave me a handheld mirror so I could fully see everything and was waiting for me at the register. Against my better judgment, I still ended up tipping almost $40 since I know what it's like to work in service based jobs. I got home feeling unsatisfied with how dark my hair was. I had asked for a blonde balayage and my hair looked like my natural brunette hair color. Multiple other people agreed. So after spending almost $300, I decided to call the manager to see if I could come back in to get it lighter. This is the part that really irked me. The manager told me that Courtney felt it was already very light and that it will get lighter after a few washes?!?! Um what?! Again, I have never had this problem with my hair not being light enough and I confirmed with multiple other people that it looked like nothing was done to my hair color! This was extremely unprofessional of the manager to completely dismiss my concern. I had politely asked to come back in to get it lighter and instead I got a snappy, rude comeback. I have many years of customer service under my belt and couldn't imagine treating a potential new regular customer like this, who mind you has already paid close to $300. Let me start this by saying I bought a Groupon for a cut, deep conditioning and partial highlight treatment...which is what led me here to begin with. Making an appointment was super easy, although timing was limited because I purchased a Groupon, which I didn't quite understand. Fast forward to my appointment, and the first thing that greets me when I enter is a vicious little pooch who promptly licked my fingers and snuggled against my legs. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, the place was clean and inviting. I met with Courtney (I won't lie, it might've been something different, but this mama of three is fried, so forgive me). She took the time to discuss what I wanted, as well as giving me options for what would work best for me and my hair. I was trying to refrain from bleaching my hair and she willingly tested the strands of my hair with different dyes, taking plenty of extra time out of her day to see what might work. She did an incredible job in the end with both color and cut. I also appreciated how she refrained from cutting my hair as short as I wanted initially, and instead went a little at a time so that I did not regret my choice, which so often happens. Now, on to pricing. Right off the bat I was quoted extra...This is something I don't understand because I spent tons of money on Groupon and then spend a bunch extra for each little component. That means extra, for a second bowl of dye because my hair is longer, for the treatment that is going to prevent my hair from dying after they bleach it, for toner so it doesn't turn ugly...You get the picture! It honestly makes me wonder how worth it a Groupon is, and if I would still get charged those same extras as a normal customer. I say this only because I heard them complain about customers purchasing the Groupon as well as telling customers not to purchase the Groupon and that they were just going to honor the prices. Now, I don't own a salon so I have no idea how much these things cost, but I feel like there has to be a better way than to up charge for every single thing. If you plan on bleaching someone's hair, then it's likely that you're going to need a repair or toner so find a median price! Anyway... Aside from my thoughts on the pricing, I was 100% satisfied, especially considering I spent way more of my day there than I think anybody expected. I came into the salon with my hair in pretty bad shape from box dye and Brenda saved me. She does an amazing job every time and keeps me smiling and laughing the whole time I'm there. She does a beautiful job with color and cuts. The salon has a modern decor, a fun vibe and the owner Julia is really great as well. They offer a wide range of services from hair, to nails, to waxing, to facials and massages. Julia always is super quick to respond with appointment requests.
