First time here and had a facial and some facial areas waxed. The facial was great but wish the esthetician did a better job of washing my face before the facial (there was mascara still on my eyes). Lip wax was good but my eyebrows looked terrible. Lopsided and not trimmed (maybe she's better at facials?) Place is super cute. Didn't like that the room I was in was super cold (there was a window door at the back of the room that was probably the reason for the chilliness). Reasonable but I think some ppl are better at different services so I wouldn't lump all my needs with one person. read more

Every single person I've encountered here has been genuine, nice and accommodating, from the receptionists, to the aestheticians, to the hairdressers. The entire place is clean and not overwhelmingly scented. There's fruit water, trail mix and a small waiting/seating in the center of the salon. Plus your typical products for purchase by the front - they do NOT try to sell you anything whatsoever and that can't be understated. I despise pushiness because there truly is no need. The spa area is quiet and separated, located in the very back, as compared to the hair services out front and manicure stations off to a side in the back. The service here is exceptional, and I'm sure they know they do a wonderful job! Chuck is a riot, and Pam is very sweet. Both did great jobs for blowouts. Recently went in for a facial with Jackie, who was lovely. I went with the custom facial for my first facial in very long time and it was just what I needed. My skin was a mess from a lot of traveling lately and I just felt like it was time to treat myself. The spa is on route 30 but has its own parking lot in the back, so finding a parking spot was not a problem. The receptionist was darling and offered me some strawberry lemon water while I waited. As I mentioned, I hadn't had a facial in a long time and Jackie walked me through the process and asked for my preferences. In addition to the facial, she also included a massage of my scalp, neck, shoulders, arms, and chest, during which I could have just fallen right to sleep. Upon leaving, the receptionist gave me a welcome package that included some sample size products and a coupon, which was a fabulous touch. Also - you can add tip onto your credit card payment if you wish, which I've found most places won't allow and is fabulous if you don't carry cash like I do (though I had brought it this particular day before I knew). Three days later and my skin still feels super hydrated and healthy and this spa has a new regular customer. read more

I just had a facial this afternoon. I have never gone here before. The customer service was great in terms of the receptionist and the atmosphere was very inviting and calming. However the facial itself was disappointing. She concentrated more on massage then extractions. The whole point of the facial is to unclog your pores besides the relaxation aspect. She spent about 3 minutes on extraction and was barley pressing down. I have had several facials in my lifetime and I have never had that type of experience with extraction. You are supposed to get what is way underneath the surface. What the actual hell?? I came her because the person I usually go to for my facials was on vacation. I have gone to Lindsay Taylor Spa a handful of times for Deep Tissue Massage after a shoulder injury. When setting your appointment it is very important to verbalize your needs with the correct massage therapist. I recently received a massage, which was great and relaxing, and the therapist went above and beyond with hot stone treatments as well, but the end result didn't get to the crux of the issue of my shoulder. This is by no means a knock on the Spa, Management, or the therapist. All did their best with excellent treatment and customer service. I left not feeling my shoulder was given enough attention, but I also thought that perhaps I didn't communicate well enough. Regardless, after a quality follow-up with Alison Lindsay, she insisted on my returning for another massage with one of her massage therapists who could concentrate on my specific shoulder rotational issues. I let her know that this was completely unnecessary since I should have communicated better as to my needs. However, Alison and I agreed that I would return a few days later. Alison set me up with Tricia Lawyer, who worked HARD on my shoulder. WOW. My shoulder has never felt better and I had a range of motion that I haven't experienced in nearly two years. I am definitely going back. I appreciated Alison's persistence and professionalism as well as Tricia's expertise in releasing tense areas in my shoulder. Thank you once again. We have done a few Spa nights at Lindsay Taylor Spa. I have had waxing, foot reflexology etc over that time. I had time to kill this afternoon for a 1/2 hour deep tissue massage. It was scheduled with Rebecca Ryan (my first with her). It was probably the best deep tissue massage I have ever had and first one at the salon (except a quick 5 minute one on Spa night) The Spa reception area is clean bright and relaxing. The rooms are cozy warm and dark. Now I understand why they are the wicked local Readers Choice winner. read more
