Ever since I started going there, I go religiously every four weeks and love it. I get gel nails by Hitomi and pedicures by Alice. They both are great and I'm satisfied every single visit. The only thing is hard to make appointments initially but once you start going there, it's much easier because I just make next two appointments at the time of my visits.
I went to a new nail tech because my usual had hurt her back and was on a break. My friend had recommended this nail tech and because I wanted a Japanese nail tech, my nail tech was Hitomi. First off, when she was done removing my old gel nail, she had dusted off herself and her machine, and then me...which was a little off, but I shrugged it off. Next, she had put on a different polish than I had chosen so I kindly asked her to check because the color looked off. Thats when she got really mean and stood up saying nothing and started removing the ones she had already painted. Then she quietly asked me to relax my hand, which I couldn't hear at first then she said, "relax!" and slightly slapped my arm. It's only been 2 days and my studs get caught on to my hair and they are not placed straight AND my thumb nail came off. I asked my other nail tech and she said that the gel hadn't cured all the way and it was wet in between the layers which could give me allergies. It wasn't Japanese quality at all. Such an unprofessional job.
First time getting a manicure and pedicure in my entire life. Is that a surprise for someone is pretty girly girl. Never thought of spending my hard worked money for salon service. Well since my bf decided to pay for it, why not!. His female co workers urged him to do after all, I went with them to get pampered. In the landmark building between Ala wai and Kalakaua ave, enter the parking lot on Ala wai ave, make sure to get your validation sticker before leaving the salon,parking cost $3.50 total for over 2 hrs. By appointments only. The salon is small cozy shop with 2 manicure and pedicure stations with extra manicure table. Options to pick, gel, regular, or acrylic nails styles. Check out their instagram or facebook page for monthly specials ranging from $65 to 85. cute designs or simple colors. I had a difficult time picking the color, various colors to select from. Went with light blue gel color for mani and slightly darker blue polish color for pedi. Nail technician was professional and friendly, whoever her name is. The appointment was 2 hrs for both pedi and mani. My bf approved my nails :)
A friend of mine recommended Salon Cherie to me years ago, and it was the best advice anyone has told me! The technicians have always been super friendly, professional, and the results have ALWAYS been stellar. I'm usually pretty picky, but I have never walked out of the salon without being super happy with my nails. My mom and I go at the same time, and Hitomi and Alice are always great! We end up having conversations with all of us, and laughing the hour away. Getting an appointment can be challenging, but we book our next appointment when we're there, and we can usually get the time frame that we want, no problem. The online system to book is also pretty easy to use, and once booked, the system updates my calendar, and sends me reminders. Parking is in the lot off of Ala Wai. It can be a little confusing (the first time I went into the apartment building next door), but once you find it, it's no problem. They'll validate, so you'll get a discounted rate. It ends up being between $1.50-$2 every time we go. It's located on the second floor of the Landmark Building, so use the elevator, stairs, or escalator. (It's the door you're facing as you get off the escalator.) Now for the nails, omg. We always do the monthly specials; the designs are always so intricate and cool-looking, and the prices are affordable, too. There are 4 designs at $70 and 2 designs at $85. You can change the color, which fingers which designs go on, and the jewels used on each nail. For Japanese gel + nail artwork, it's a pretty good deal compared to other places I've been. The Japanese gel is so strong, but doesn't seem to damage my nails. I surf almost everyday, and my nails last for 4-6 weeks, easy. The only reason I need to go back is because my nails grow! TL;DR: Highly recommended salon for quality Japanese gel, with amazing, friendly, meticulous technicians.
Love my bridal nails by Hitomi! She is always able to perfectly recreate any design I bring to her and I also love all of the monthly special designs! Highly recommend Salon Cherie if you are looking for Japanese style nail designs.
This little salon has been my go to nail salon for years! It's located in the Waikiki Landmark building upstairs and their parking lot entrance is along Ala Wai Blvd. *They are by appointment ONLY and it's easy to book on their website or phone call. No walk ins. I usually get Japanese gel manicure or pedicure and they last for a month or sometimes longer. Every month they have monthly specials that are different designs for a set price. The designs range in price depending on the detail and the colors used can be changed. The nail techs are also very skilled and can do a design if you bring in a photo or have an idea. Definitely check them out on Instagram or their websites for their current designs. Overall, the nail salon is very clean and there's only a few chairs. They've always provided me with great service and fair prices for the services. Go treat yourself to a new set of nails!
Just went here for the first time in January 2021 and it was amazing! I did a Japanese gel mani and pedi here and so far my nails look great and are holding up to my everyday routines. Yes, they do gear towards a Japanese clientele (I was the only client that was not fluent in Japanese) but I was treated well and I found the staff to be very friendly. I am not sure if in Japan the technicians don't normally talk too much to the clients, but for me it was fine. Sometimes I find technicians converse so much and they make mistakes...I prefer a quieter environment where I can relax. So just know this place is on the quieter side and don't expect a lot of chit chat unless you speak fluently in Japanese. They do validate parking in their building, I believe you need to come down from McCully and turn onto Ala Wai to get into their parking structure.
Moved home from Japan and needed a nail salon that does gel..made an appointment online which was super easy the week before. I was in and out in an hour and love how my nails turned out! Salon Cherie will now be my go to!
Per referral from a friend and bookmarking all their Instagram posts, I decided to call for an appointment to get the monthly gel manicure special! Always book at least 1 week in advance for an appointment. They validate parking, for which the entrance is located to the left along Ala Wai Blvd, before you hit Kalakaua and right after McCully. It was the worst following Google maps and not being able to find the darn entrance. I gave up and parked at the Hawaiian Monarch Hotel which runs $3 per half hour. Erika was amazing! Super fast and the coolest. She and I jabbered away about EDC and Monster Massive when it was back at the Coliseum in LA, missing big city life, and boys..obviously haha. It's best to go with the monthly gel specials which are posted on their Insta page. You can swap out the colors and change the layout of the jewels/pieces on different fingers for the same price. You can also request past monthly special designs as long as you have the photo on hand. Overall, they're a step above your typical nail salon, because the techs here work art and are quite talented and efficient. I kept my nails simple for my first time and was in and out within 35 minutes! Minus 1 star, because it is still pricey, and I'm not used to forking over that kind of money for nail paint.
Highly recommend and will go back next year when I'm in town. My Japanese gel has been on for 2.5 weeks and it's still perfectly intact. The only reason I am giving 4 and not 5 stars is because of the heat spikes when curing under the UV. I've never gotten Japanese gel before, but it was pretty painful each time my hands went under the UV light, which I don't think is normal. I've had normal gel before and never experienced that. It only took an hour to remove the dip I had on previously and get the gel.
I've come to Salon Cherie a few times for their monthly special gel manicures. For $55 before tax and tip, it's not a bad deal, especially if you like the designs for the month. Also, if you come regularly, like once a month, the free soak offs make it worth it. Other places will charge $5-$10 just to remove the gel polish. I have another favorite salon for regular, one color manis. But I like salon Cherie when I'm feeling fancy. The designs range from simple to very complex and glittery. It is a Japanese nail salon after all. I get many compliments about my nails after I go to salon Cherie, but being a little OCD, I've noticed some flaws. The manicurists are so cute and friendly, which beats going to places like smileys for sure. It's a small shop, but well kept and clean. I've always found street parking across the street in the residential area, but there is a parking lot if you want to pay for parking. The first time I came, it was a little hard to find. From kalakaua, if you take the escalator up to the 3rd floor, it's right there.
Never recommend. Don't waste your money and time here. Her name is Maria Todo (I didn't ask her name but it says on my receipt) First time when I came into the salon, she was already had a bad attitude. I said hello with smile but she didn't say anything and went back behind the curtain then pointed the seat . I was kinda surprised because I never had this situation at any salons. I tried to touch my phone to show some pics what I wanted to do, but she suddenly took my phone without asking me and put under the desk, said "the phone should be here." We both speak in Japanese, I felt how she talked was SUPER RUDE. I was shocked what happened and couldn't understand what was going on,. I couldn't say anything because I felt nervous.. I really wanted to leave, but I didn't know I still could cancel or not because she already started removing old nails. Then she broke the old nail and it hurt but what she said to me was "where did you do this nail?!" I remember where but I didn't wanna say because she sounded like it's the previous nailists' fault. I said "I don't remember." but she asked me "this is not Japanese nail, right?!" rudely and without apology what she did to my nail. I was super nervous whole time there, so my fingers were tense, she kept hitting my finger many times to relax without asking nicely. Of course she didn't small talk the whole time. It was so awkward. I wanted some designs on my nail but I really didn't wanna talk to her staying there longer and didn't want her to touch my hands, so I gave up everything and changed my mind to do only one color nails. I had to endure until she finished, I didn't see anything she was doing. After she finished, I was so surprised what she did to my nails. All surfaces were not flat at all and edges were so dirty, nail lengths were all different... I have been to many nail salons in the US and Japan for long time. SHE WAS THE WORST NAILIST EVER. And after two weeks, started cracking, then completely broke some nails. I normally don't write reviews even they did a bad job, normally ppl who work at salon, they are nice. But she was SO RUDE and has NO TECHNICAL SKILL. I still regret going there and paying for such a terrible service. Do yourself a favor AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

I have gone to salon Cherie a couple of times now and I can positively say that this salon is best in quality. They have monthly specials on original nail designs that are $55 or $65 depending on the design. They use Japanese gel that lasts a long time. If you're fond of the small talk during your manicure/pedicure, this is not the place for you. The Japanese technicians are quiet and are concentrated on giving you the best looking and long lasting nails. Make your appts in advance because they are always booked. And don't be late! They seem to be on a tight timeline with their schedule. read more

I can't stop staring at my nails! I arrived this morning for my appointment with Yuka. This is my first time being here. Thanks to reading the previous reviews, I was able to find parking. The stalls are reasonably priced and it's only $1 per hour (you pay ahead and you can use your cc.) I found the business well kept, clean, and friendly. I decided to try out one of the monthly special nail designs. Yuka was kind to help me pick out colors to match a dress I was wearing for a wedding. No massage, but I knew that already (through reviews) and came for the their work in nail design. The nail design is beyond my usual comfort levels (French tip gal), but I absolutely love how eye catching it is. Mahalo nui Yuka! read more

Called 20 minutes before I came in and they took the appointment right away. I needed a pedi and color change on all of my nails also one of my nails was broken so that needed repair too. Finding the salon was a bit difficult but that could be because my uber had no clue where he was going lol anyways it's up the escalator and you can't miss it. It's a pretty small salon with only 2 manicure and 2 pedicure chairs but the talent and customer service is much more then you could ever ask for. Yuka did my manicure and pedi and she was amazing! She sat me at the pedicure chair and gave me a small blanket because I was wearing a dress and we got started. The cleanliness and attention to detail was great. I'm a huge buff for the massage and that didn't disappoint either! She practically put me to sleep! She then got started on my nails. For my toes I chose a regular polish and for my hands they mixed the polish with gel just so my nails and toes could matchwhich in my opinion gets them 10 stars! Filing Salon Cherie as one of my favorite nail salons. They continue to nail their manicure game! The salon is located in Waikiki Landmark on the third floor. There's a parking lot in the building that you can pull into from the ground floor. Pay at the machine and it's only $1 per hour. I scheduled an appointment about a week in advance for their monthly special that's $55. It's my guilty pleasure to look at all of their pretty designs on Instagram each month, and it makes me excited to see what they'll come up with next. Mariko did my nails and she was extremely sweet. I can tell she really knows what she's doing because she's quick, precise, and detailed. My nails were trimmed, filed, and buffed. Polish was applied, cured, then cuticle oil was applied at the very end. My nails came out gorgeous and I'm completely happy with them! Salon Cherie is fairly small in size and very clean. No string chemical or acetone smell at all. Each of the ladies are so nice! Definitely one of my go-to nail salons and I see myself returning again. read more
I am in LOVE with this place! This isn't your typical nail salon and trust me the prices you pay for Japanese style gel nails is well worth it. The ladies here are so friendly but be sure to be on time for your appointment as they often book back to back appointments. I called in my appointment for me and my 3 other girls a month in advanced for a Saturday and only 1 slot was available so book early if you can. I have been looking for a professional nail salon to do "hard gel" nails for the past 2 years since moving to Hawaii (I moved from Europe and only ever got hard gel which makes nails stronger and lasts longer). So I waited to do this review because you can't judge a manicure until you've had it for awhile. I was NEVER a nails girl because I didn't see the point of spending time and money on something that would get ruined within a day. Then I discovered gel. What is this UV craziness? You are telling me that I can get a manicure that lasts longer than a day? However, it still lasted about 2-3 weeks before they started completely peeling off. Well Ladies and Gentleman, I am officially at the 3 week marker and the nails are in the best shape ever! I have no idea what Salon Cherie did differently, but my mind has been blown. Some important notes: Enter the parking garage at ala wai. It's prepaid parking so just use your best judgment on how much you need. You can call and ask the girls. They are pretty good for that. There are only two manicure and two pedicure stations. If they are running late, it will take awhile. However if one of the ladies is free, she will work on you with your current stylist. Therefore you can get your feet and hands done at the same time. It's really NOT that pricy. I prepared myself for paying $90 for my mani/pedi with gel. I paid $55. read more
A friend of mine has been going to Anri for some time now, and her nails are always so cute, just like the nails I have seen in Japan. My first visit to Salon Cherie was back in September 2009, and I have been hooked since. Anri and her staff are very polite and they take their time to do an exceptional job. They are very friendly and like to chat with you, so there is no awkwardness that I have experienced in other salons. Anri's work is beyond basic acrylic nails, manicures & pedicures. Much like the nail salon quality in Japan, she creates a work of art. She does exactly what I ask for, and most times adds a little finishing touch that is always a pleasant surprise. During my most recent visit, I got a fill and also requested a floral design. The final product was a very elegant combination of rhinestones/beads and a 3d cherry blossom flowers/petals design (which she created by hand on my nails). On only two fingers, she added hearts to the design and drew the kanji characters to "sakura" (cherry blossom) and "haru" (spring). Very cute! Anri's friendly customer service, professionalism, clean & contemporary salon, and artistry creates an experience that no other local salon can replicate. read more

ooh i wish i could marry Anri..or atleast be rich enough to see her every month to create diffrent ways to bedazzle my fingers. Litterally my favorite place to get my nails done, i will never go back to another regular cheapy salon. She is very meticulous with detail to the designs and also very creative. I love that she is soo easy to talk to and can trust that everything is clean and sterile. This past weekend i got pink glitter tips using Shellac and 6 deco art for $55. it makes me sad that i live so far away or i would come more often. There is a designated parking structure for the building, parking is $1/hr. She did mention she was going to be renovating early January so i would recommend making an appt early ;D read more
I randomly encountered Salon Cherie's monthly specials through Instagram and wanted to try it out! My friend called and made appointments for the both of us. Salon Cherie is located in Waikiki and fairly easy to find. I like that the parking in the building was only $1/hour, which is very cheap for Waikiki standards. My nail artist was Hiroko, and she was so thorough and sweet. I had a cut on one of my cuticles and she made sure no alcohol or acetone got near it. My nails came out beautifully and so did my friend's! Her's were done by Mariko. Everyone is so friendly and the salon is very clean. I will definitely come back in the future to try their other monthly special designs. Note: It's been over a week since I got my nails done, and they are all still perfect! No chipping whatsoever and just as shiny as the first day I got them done. read more

My sis-in-law treated me to my very first manicure ever for my birthday and at first, I was a bit hesitant. Didn't want anything too fancy shmancy, but I was pleasantly surprised at what I ended up choosing! The workers there are all very nice and they are very good at what they do! The nail artwork that they do is excellent quality! I ended up choosing one of their specials for the month, and I was so happy with the end product! You pay a set price plus tax for whatever the month's specials are and you can choose a different color if you aren't feeling the ones that they display. Soak-off is free too! I'm not the daintiest with my hands, but the manicurist assured me that my nails would last 3-4 weeks with my normal routine. Super happy with my first manicure experience! Fantastic experience and another (higher) level of nail art. Japanese products, and true artists. No cuticle cutting-just great, deft, detailed artist service and hospitality. I will try my best to find something comparable where I live, but I doubt I'll find anything this level. read more

I've had gel nails done in Japan three times at three different salons, but I have to say this was by far the best quality work I've had done. Usually my nails last about a month before I start getting some peeling/chipping. These took over two months before they even started budging! The quality here is top notch. I got some lovely summery nails with seashells, glitter, pearls, and a turtle shell texture. I chose them straight out of the design book. They'll let you change colors, but I loved the green so I left it as it was. My nails only took about an hour and they did such an excellent job! I think I only paid around $80 after tax and tip, which I thought was a fair price for the work that was done. It was pretty comparable to what I pay in Japan. It was very easy to make the appointment. I called and they asked what day and time I'd like to come in and that was that. I did it about three week before I wanted to come in. Parking is available on site in the bottom of the building in a very crammed garage. It's cheap, but come early because finding it is a bit of a nightmare. We passed it the first time and circling back around was a pain because of the traffic. However, the staff was very kind and helpful when I called them when I was lost. I will most definitely be back next time I'm in Honolulu. If you love gel nails, and appreciate quality, book an appointment here! read more

Ah just got my nails done here yesterday and I am in love! I went with one of the March specials ($65 but you can change the colors) and could not be happier! Salon Chérie is located at the Waikiki landmark where there are lots of available stalls. The entrance to the parking structure is on Ala Wai and they also validate so parking only comes out to $1-$2! As for the nails, I think this is one of the best places in Hawaii. You pay a bit of a premium price, but the results are incredibly worth it! The ladies here take such great care of your nails and are true artists when it comes to making designs! They are also really sweet and helpful!! I am so so happy with my experience here and will definitely be back! They absolutely NAILED it (lol!) read more

My favorite spot I love their work mariko kyoko And maria Best nail salon in honolulu!!! Too many people ask me where i get my nail done and here it is! Ever since i moved to hawaii i always go get my nail here! They do great job!! Mariko always willing to try anything i want!! They all sweet and nice And trust me im very picky person!! Salon Cherie is one of those rare salons that you do not have to worry about requesting a specific technician because you want beautiful results. I've been to Salon Cherie numerous times throughout the years, and I've never had to worry about the quality that I am getting. Located in the Wakiki Landmark, their parking lot is a bit tricky. Best route is to be driving on Ala Wai Blvd.... don't blink or you'll miss the entrance to the lot! Parking is charged by the hour. I've always gotten gel manicures with design which takes about an hour, though I recommend paying for an extra hour in case your session runs a bit longer. (don't wanna ruin your beautiful nails by having to run to your car to pay the meter -____-) The salon consists of two manicure stations and two pedicure stations, so definitely make an appointment in advance. On all occasions that I have visited Salon Cherie, I've always had the best experience. I've gotten my nails done by Anri, Mariko, and others, and each time my nails were perfectly shaped and painted. These ladies are so sweet and talented. Salon Cherie has also started a monthly gel manicure special. $55 (before tax) for a gel manicure of a few specific designs that you can choose from. The design colors are alterable. I've been here twice and the designs are so beautiful! They are very detailed and the gel manicure lasts so long without chipping. The only downside is that they are very busy so you have to make an appointment at least a week in advance. read more

I originally found this place when I was googling places to get a pedicure but after seeing their amazing nail art decided to get my fingernails done instead. I'm so pleased with how they turned out. First the girls working were so friendly! And seemed genuinely happy to have you there. Like others have said, I would definitely recommend making an appointment as they only have 2 mani stations and 2 pedi stations. The only downside is that they are on the pricier side but you're certainly paying for quality, so I can't complain too much. I'll definitely be back when I need a fill! read more

Have been coming here for 4 years now and am always very happy with the service even though staffing has changed over time. The quality of the gel/acrylic nails are worth the price as they last a long time. They even have monthly specials now which make it cheaper to keep up a nice manicure. Both Hiroko and Mariko are excellent with nail art. Most of the appointments for gel/acrylic take 1.5-3 hours depending on how detailed the design is. However, make sure you call before coming as they are by appointment only! There is a parking lot off Ala Wai street that has a "pay to park" machine $1 per hour. read more
When it comes to nails, I usually don't have that girl component that leads people to enjoy manicures. I think it's because I'm generally quite impatient and sitting makes me sleepy. Recently, I had a great reason to bypass my idiosyncrasies and enjoy a beautiful day of girly activities. As my best friend's MOH, I wanted to make sure we both had pretty nails for her wedding day. I specifically chose Salon Chérie because they have a great Yelp & IG reputation of amazing work. I don't know how they manage it, but the salon does not smell of acrylic/acetone/etc. like other nail establishments. I'm very sensitive to scent and was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to sit through three hours of chemical fumes. Everything is immaculate and the decor is on-point. Everyone there is so friendly and provided an excellent day of pre-wedding relaxation. While the prices (pricing is avaiable on their website) are on the higher side in comparison to other nail salons, I felt that the outcome was reflective of top quality that left us feeling beyond satisfied. If you want the best service, please do book online first! Booking very easy, just go to the website and list the thing you want to get. If you want to check out designs (monthly specials), their IG has it all The salon is in Wakiki Landmark, a quite convenient place for me. Walking distance near me, but there is a parking lot and street parking for the ones who drive. I believe they do validate it for you. The service I got today was amazing. Came in 5 minutes early and my nail artist already has her station set up waiting for me. My got the extension+1 color, their color selection is not humongous, but all the colors are very good. They tend to have new colors here and there too. This is the second salon I've come to get extension, and I have to say, they went above my expectations! I've been searching for a salon that does "acrylic form" instead of "glueing fake nails". This is the one!!! The nail artist listen well, communicate well, very friendly and personable. If you have any questions or want to add in your design, ask them! I got a glitter accent even though my appointment is only for one color gel nail! read more
Petite Nail Salon known for their designs and 3D art -Parking Garage Entrance: On the left hand side of the Ala Wai and designated with a circle blue "P" sign. -Prepaid Parking: For intricate design with gel manicure was recommended starting around 1.5 hours (also depending on design) Service: 1. Cuticle Treatment: This was an added on item although I desperately needed it. They did a great job and prepped my nails for the manicure very nicely. 2. Deep French Manicure: She free handed this manicure and was very accurate. She did an excellent job and cared about executing the design as if it were her own manicure. I'm very happy with it. 3. Hold Heart Outline 3D Art: I wanted a small heart of some sort, small enough that I can get away with from the strict dress code at work. They came back with about 10 small heart styles to choose from. Definitely one of the best places for 3D Art and the variety of choices to choose from. Ambience: Intimate setting. Very clean. Plenty of nail art magazines and designs to look through for inspiration. Customer Service: Excellent! By far the best service I've received at any nail salon and I used to get my nails done every 2 weeks (before gel came out). Very hospitable, genuine, friendly, and accurate. -Very accurate with the service. A nail dented while drying in the hand dryer. When she was going over it with final coats, in which the manicure was almost done, she noticed it. She made sure to fix the dent by adding extra to the particular area and filing it down so it was smooth an even. -Friendly and welcoming: great listeners and very nice. Overall I would highly recommend. It is a bit pricey although it comes with excellent quality, variety of choices for 3D Art, and great customer service. read more

First time I heard about this salon was by my coworker because she did her nails over here . I went on Instagram and look at the page and there were so many cute design . I first came across to Salon Cherie when I was looking for a place to do my nails for my wedding 6 years ago. Until then, I was completely clueless about Japanese nail salons. Since then, I've come here for my bff's wedding nails, my sister in law's prom nails, and several monthly nail specials. I really enjoy that this is a small salon that can do really cute designs on your nails. The technicians are very meticulous and always ask if it's okay before moving on to the next step. They have done designs where I show them a picture and they recreated it, as well as their monthly specials. I love the fact that my nails last for a very long time (over a month!), and the monthly specials are affordable. My co-workers always notice when I do my nails, and I always end up admiring their work! read more

I love Anri and Miho...still! I only wish I could afford to get my nails done more often! I think it's pretty amazing that Anri still remembers me even though it's probably been six months or so since the last time I came in. She even remembers details of what we talked about! It's great to have a continuing relationship with her! I only hope that one day I am baller enough to get my nails done regularly by Anri! I am REALLY indecisive. There are SO many cute nail designs and I'm never sure of exactly what I want! I finally found a design in one of the Japanese magazines but I wanted it in mint instead of tan--so Anri made it happen! Not going to lie, it's pretty pricey for me to get these acrylics + design, but I think it's so worth it every once in awhile! I think I said it before in my last review, but their salon is so quaint and cute! It's very clean. I really like the feel of being an exclusive customer--a totally different experience from going into a large nail salon with 10-20 clients at a time! Amazing place!! My friend and I called the day of and they managed to squeeze us in before they close. We both got their $55 campaign which was a great deal for gel manicure with some fancy designs. All 3 girls who work there were sweet and patient in helping us pick out designs and colors. I had Mariko and she was super fast and detail oriented. I felt bad because they ended up closing 20min late to finish up but I've never been happier with my nails! Next time I'm in Waikiki, I'm definitely going to come back. read more
Another amazing job by the girls at Salon Chérie! Got my nails done for graduation here and absolutely loved the attention and care by manicurist, Kailee. I made an appointment here for me and a friend for gel manis and a regular pedi with one color finish. I noticed that their menu had changed a bit since the last time I came. They revamped their treatment menu to only include the Princess Hand Care Treatment ($15), Princess Foot Care Treatment ($25), and Goddess Foot Care Treatment ($35)--no Queen treatments. Guess their clients were either getting the least or most expensive treatments. We started off with the pedi. I got the Princess Foot Care Treatment ($25), which includes file, cuticle cutting, removing calluses, and a massage up to the ankles. The massage felt fantastic! Kailee finished off with a one color polish ($7). I spent weeks trying to figure out what gel nail art I wanted to get done and finally decided on a sakura (cherry blossom) design I saw in one of the many Japanese nail magazines they have. All gel manicures include nail shaping, cuticle care, and nail buffing. With the pre-gel application, color gradation with glitter, nail art, and nail stone decorations, the whole process took about two hours. Kailee was incredible patient and made sure I was happy with the results of each nail. All gel nails are guaranteed to last for a week. If any decorations come off within a week of application, the girls at Salon Chérie will fix it for free. Tips: --Don't cut your nails prior to your appointment! The girls will be happy to help you cut and reshape them. I made the mistake of cutting them too short and it made it a lot difficult to do the art. --Take a look at their Monthly specials for $55 (includes free gel removal) read more

Worth the price! I chose this place because it had good reviews and was right by my house. I got a Japanese gel manicure and basic pedicure. It took about 1.5 hours. My nails and toes are smooth and completely filled in. I couldn't be happier with them! Call ahead or book an appointment because it is a small salon. read more

I went to Salon Cherie for the first time a couple weeks ago and had the best experience! It's located at the Waikiki Landmark right next to the escalator, really easy to find. All the girls are so friendly and make you feel welcome. Miho did my nails! I only had one kinda poor quality picture for her to work with, but she managed to make it perfect :) For all the nail art on it, it was the cheapest nails I've ever done!! Definitely going back!! read more
