This salon business is no longer. The building has a sign for a new business and management.

First, the stylist was great and kind…read more Their pricing and up-selling totally turned me off. From my last visit to the next appointment the haircut price nearly doubled!! When a stylist "levels up" their price also levels, but you don't know that until you get to the cash register. Also, the time it takes for a stylist [30/45/60] factors into the price. I expected to pay about $50ish from my last appointments but was charged about $89! It was a bit shocking. On top of the price, it wasn't the haircut I expected. I understand that communication fails sometimes and hair grows back. However, when you are paying nearly $90 for a haircut that you thought would be around 50ish, it'd better be a darn good haircut. I'd specifically said over many appointments as well as this one never let the length fall at my jaw. Above or below was good. It fell at my jaw, and was cut straight across in the back [instead of a rounded or V line]making an unattractive illusion, widening the shoulders. It was the most unsatisfied I'd been while paying more. They also must be coached to sell you expensive shampoos and products because even after telling the stylist I wasn't interested, she brought the bottle to the register and told the cashier to add it in. I liked this salon. I liked the stylist. But just go look at their website and you'll see their very complicated pricing. It's a crap shoot. It's like walking into a store to buy something one week and you get to the register to find out it's almost double but you can't put it back. So disappointed. Pros: Nice environment Friendly Staff Competent Stylists Cons: Ambiguous Pricing Constant Upselling Prices not displayed (only on website)

Maybe even one of those spiked Mohawks, like in Gremlins. Wouldn't that be something? Gremlins, at the HAIR BAR. These wonderful people can do it all. They are very skilled and know precisely how to keep the in-shop vibe going so you're not nodding off in the middle of a blow-out. Even the fantastic 1987 hit film Gremlins couldn't do that. Most of all, the HAIR BAR is affordable. Clean, yes. Cool vibe all around, yes. But the prices are fair for far better than industry standard work. Like I said, it's awesome. Even with the occasional gremlin. I tell you what though, those hairdressers don't let a few imaginary, mischievous green creatures call the shots. No sirreeeee bob. They're in full control whether you want a flowbee, frosted tips, a 1991 Roseanne Barr mullet or the full on Sinead. These wonderful ladies have got it on LOCK. The best in the business and the doing the very best hair in our area. A++++ two thumbs up!

I don't know how this or Amy of the penny's salons sustained themselves. had a haircut last week…read moreafter showing the stylus a picture waited a week and couldn't do anything with the style that she gave me went back today to have it trimmed up ( fixed) and although there is a huge sign stating walk-in welcome and there was only one client in there and nobody else came or laughed the whole time she told me I have to come back tomorrow afternoon afternoon . I offered to come back later today as this was about 12 30 and she said it would have to be tomorrow. pretty sure they weren't full for today and I surely didn't see any walk-ins coming in and out the 45 minutes that I was waiting for somebody to come to the counter to help me. not sure why I couldn't have run a couple errands and come back so she could do her five minute trim up of them as that I have. I only went in the first place because they have a $12 cut coupon Now it is turned into a nightmare, and I spent more than that gas going back-and-forth Good luck pennys

I forgot to…read morebook an appointment at my regular salon which is terrific, and of course they were booked up. So I went somewhere new to see a stylist who apparently "has a lot of experience" based on the two google reviews I found. Well she totally hacked up my hair! I have generally long straight hair, easy to manage and I've been told it's easy to cut/style. Wanted a trim and a FEW LONG LAYERS. Easy peasy! She dry cut my hair while telling me all about her ex-husband ("he's an a**hole, you should see the sh** he put me through") etc. So I'm listening, trying to be polite and then she scoops up my hair on top and chops it! She says "oh no long layers will thin out your hair so they need to be shorter" AFTER SHE CHOPPED it! Then she washed it, and scraped my scalp so hard with her nails that my scalp is still throbbing an hour later. I sear i have marks on my hairline from her nails. The water was lukewarm, the blow dryer she used looked and felt like a hotel travel-style blow dryer. She didn't use a brush while she blow dried (after I asked her to) and it frizzed up beyond belief. Now I'm a generally nice person. I hate conflict, I am very polite and pretty quiet. But this made me so upset! I don't want this to happen to another poor soul!
