I have been going here for over a year now, I see Carol T. It is not easy for me to trust anyone with my hair, but I'm glad I did with Carole T. Every day someone compliments my hair, it was time to yelp my experience. The Salon is beautiful with a very upmarket vibe. The attached boutique has gorgeous clothes, accessories and jewelry. Went in there excited to give my daughters their 1st haircuts. The hairstylist was amicable, friendly and excited. Great! However once she began cutting the hair it was just when things began to go south...the hairstylist never wet my daughter's hair prior to cutting, didn't comb by parting it in sections so we can get even hair throughout. Just began cutting dry hair. Not parted. Asked me if I saw uneven sections...unfortunately, at the time I was with my other little one as well and skimmed. Didn't see anything until we got home. For my other baby, I was sat down and holding her, said I wanted to trim some of the front, to my surprise it was completely botched, and cut unevenly. Same thing, no wet hair, nothing...I called back in to the receptionist to let them know if I can get it fixed and they said what was wrong with it...I told her look at the google review. I put the pictures there it's terrible. She said if I could come in same day. I said no. She said another day? I said tomorrow. @ 10:30. We shall see....but there is no fixing the front. Returned the following day, and they were able to fix my oldest daughters hair, however my youngest daughter's they were unable to fix it, we just had to shorten it and try to make it look straight but there was no fixing, there was a layer that she now has and we have to wait until her hair grows. read more

Went there for a brow wax, and although my brow wax job was good I did not appreciate the first initial interaction with the stylists & esthetician. The vibes I got were very "snobby" None of the ladies seemed down to earth, and friendly because they want to be. The receptionist was kind, and answered the questions I had. I just felt uncomfortable during my entire experience. If you want to pay hundreds for a simple hair appointment, have fun with that but I would not step foot in there unless you own a Birkin & some Gucci slides. read more

Several reviews of Salon DeLange said the stylists were good listeners who worked with the client to find the right style. So I gulped hard and made an appointment, fingers crossed. Shonna styled my hair and did an excellent job in all ways -- she's easy to talk to, gained my trust immediately, and gave me the best haircut I've had in probably 20 years. I had been going to my same person for over 10 years, due to COVID, I was no longer able to get into her, so I searched out a new location and came across Salon DeLange, I called, they got me in that same day and I got to meet Sarah, she is amazing!!! Sarah Gray, she did a wonderful job, listened to all my wants and ideas and made it happen!!! She is so friendly and easy going it was like talking to an old friend. I liked her so much and my hair when I was done, I made an appointment for my youngest daughter who is 14 and also desperately needed a hair cut! After having been to this salon numerous times and having always had a good experience, I was completely blindsided by what happened yesterday. I arrived on time for my appointment, got seated, showed the stylist (Rita M.) several pictures of what I wanted...and she just refused to do it. She gave me several half-hearted excuses why she couldn't do it, none of which sounded like a genuine reason. Incidentally, I was asking for a pixie cut, which I had previously had in the past. So I knew it was not a case of not having the right hair texture. I had taken a couple of hours off work to keep this appointment, and I get sent out the door without even an attempt?? She could have saved us both some time and just put a note in my profile that she did not want me as a client any longer. I will never go back, and I will tell everyone I know not to go there. read more

Very excited to have found this salon. Great location and the interior is beautifully maintained. Cute little boutique adjacent. Finally made my first appointment and had a wonderful time. The dimmed lights in the hair washing room felt like a mini vacation. Shelly was my stylist and she was spectacular. Very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient! We had an amazing experience with Salon DeLange. My daughter had tried to dye her hair blue, on her own, with horrible results! I called and was able to get an appointment the next day for her to get her hair fixed and colored the way she wanted. We were able to email pictures of her and what she wanted. Rio did an outstanding job with amazing results!!!!! We had half the salon outside looking at the color. The joy on our daughters face was undeniable. The entire staff was friendly and talkative. I've tried 3 different times over the past year w/two different stylist. I know my hair, I have no illusions or unreasonable expectations. At the beginning of the year I had shorter hair. The very sweet girl that I tried to give a 2nd chance with, seemed so afraid to cut shorter hair and kept asking another stylist how she should angle it. I basically ended the appt after the 3rd attempt to get the back right. I still tipped her well. ($20) and left. Literally let my hair grow out for the next 9 months. Tried again w/a different, really nice stylist. Had specific pics of a hair cut, several angles. Asked if she felt comfortable w/the cut and confirmed it was right for my hair type. Again, I walked out with nothing close to what I asked for. I now have this boring cut that doesn't look anything close to what I asked for. Again, I politely said, let me "play" with it an come back in a few weeks. She didn't even style it for me to confirm the style was right. Again, I tipped well despite the outcome. I will not go back. So unfortunate! My 55 yr old grey hair does not mean I want a boring turned under cut, which I NEVER style as such. read more

Salon Delange has moved...across the parking lot! The new space is beautiful and has their in house boutique, M@nnequin, on the ground floor with lots of space to browse and find something amazing! I've been coming to the salon for several years now and could not be happier to say so. There isn't a gal on staff that I wouldn't trust to take care of my hair. They are great with color and are super respectful of client input too. I always leave happy be it because of my pretty hair or the upbeat, fun environment. My new stylist, RIO, does a great job with my hair! After moving here a little over a year ago, I had been searching for someone to cut my hair the way it needs to be cut. Not only did Rio understand what I wanted, she didn't try to talk me into dying my hair as I try to go naturally gray. After only 2 visits, Rio figured out what would look good and how to achieve it with my hair. She's great! Rio is the only person in Eugene that I will let touch my hair from now on. Thank you, Rio!!!! The salon is a nice relaxing atmosphere and nicely decorated. They have a Keurig coffee maker and always offer a drink when you come in. The shampoo room is dimly lit with soothing music. So relaxing! Not impressed with the hair products they offer. Too pricey for my budget! read more

I brought in realistic pictures (how my hair was usually cut), sat in the chair telling the stylist what I was after and I left with tearful, regret filled chop shop job. My hair was left uneven, untextured and bluntly cut. When I told her it was not at all what I wanted and asked why she didn't do as I had asked, she blamed me and my hair for shrinking. This is the only salon I will go to in Eugene, well actually I am moving out of state and will make special trips back for Carol and the rest of this amazing staff. I've been seeing Rio for about 3 years now, she regularly does my hair and nails, she also did me up for my wedding including lashes and makeup. She's been doing my husbands hair for a couple years as well, the longest I think he's managed to keep the same stylist (he's picky and his hair is challenging) and he absolutely loves Rio. What can I say about the girl other than she's pretty close to flawless at her job. She's never had an off day with me, I trust her completely with all my beauty needs and she's honestly become one of my favorite people in the world. While my loyalty lies with Rio (honestly I'd follow her just about anywhere, the perfect stylist is hard to come by), the salon is also pretty wonderful. All of the other stylist are wonderfully friendly and since I'm there every other week (for my nails) I can see that they're all skilled at what they do. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed, comfortable and clean. If you're looking for a new salon, permanently or just for an event, you can't go wrong here. read more

Followed a stylist there, and in all fairness, she did a nice job with color at the old salon. Sadly, not only did her prices increase greatly, but she seemed to not know how to use the new color line offered by this salon. My hair ended up MUCH darker on the ends and the roots were "hot" (bleached like). A second visit did nothing to correct the problem. In fact the owner (?) looked at my hair with the stylist, said nothing to me and walked away, making me feel like a problem customer. When i called again about it, I was told to wash with DAWN dish soap to pull off the color. My hair became very dry and brittle, dull, "flat" black in appearance and started falling out.No other options were discussed and she seemed clueless how to help Its been a a few months now and I am still dealing with the mess. the "semi perm" color has been more like perm black, (fyi so it never "washed out" as promised) The stylist was very sweet, but by her own admission was lacking the coloring skills and was working there for "more color education"....so,now you tell me read more
