In the past, I've never really had a go-to stylist until I stumbled upon Leah. I went in with really damaged long brown hair and came out with a really pretty blonde balayage layered lob. I first set up a free consultation where Maggie talked to me about what I wanted and we set up a game plan. I am about to go in for my third balayage in about a week to eventually get me solid blond. My hair is in amazing condition because I follow Maggies recommendations to a T. They sell olaplex and amika in salon and they are truly holy grail products for a blond. The décor is rustic with lots of natural light. Everyone is friendly and busy turning salon chairs of one gorgeous look after another. Today was my first day at this salon and first experience with the hairstylist, Gaila Ruppel. I wanted to go from my long length straight hair to above-shoulder short hair with lots of texture and styling afterwards. It was a big jump but Gaila listened to my concerns and preferences prior to the cut and she blew me away with her skills! She is also really fun and easy to talk to, and I usually don't like to talk much because I'm usually really nervous with change. The building itself is nice but has a small parking lot up front of only 3 spaces. 2 spaces are alongside the building on the street and there is more parking in back in front of other businesses. The entrance has a very small sign that says "entrance" and the name of the company right above the door has a rustic color so it's hard to spot as it blends in with the building. Through the door is a long staircase up to the hairstyling stations so I don't recommend this place for those with mobile limitations, although I'd call to see if they have alternative options just in case I missed another way up. Once upstairs the hairstyling area has a cozy rustic feel to it with large windows letting lots of natural light in. Overall, I highly recommend trying this salon out! read more

Brent is finally in his own place! My beautiful wife and I have been going to Brent for many years when he was at another salon, and he has finally made the move to his own place. WOW! What an amazingly beautiful place. Warm, spacious and inviting. Home run! It has been 9 years since we started with Brent and we have been incredibly impressed by how much pride Brent always takes in his work on even a simple haircut like mine. Being a male I have found that most hair stylists just use a trimmer to cut the hair of a guy. Not Brent. From the beginning he has done it like I prefer: with a scissor and comb. This takes longer but gives a much better haircut for me. I also get my hair colored since I am 50+ and don't like looking it! Brent's knowledge of color and products is unmatched. I always look 10 years younger and feel it after getting a color and cut from Brent. Additional Brent is just a wonderful guy. He is always professional and has become a very dear friend. I can't recommended Brent highly enough. I can also highly recommend Joy who Brent helped train into a wonderful stylist and works at Brent's new salon. I have seen how good she is and if I wasn't going to Brent I would go to Joy. My wife also comes to Brent. She is a tall blond with very long hair. She actually found Brent for us a long time ago. She always looks like a super model when she comes from seeing Brent. It seems like magic to me. My wife always says that Brent has given her the best cut and color she has ever had. I was looking for a new hairstylist and gave a try to this salon. I had great hopes based on the reviews... It didn't go well at all unfortunately. I was really unhappy about my appointment. My hair are fine and they get tangled easily. I found myself getting my hair yanked so many times by the hands of the stylist and her comb that it was actually painful several times during the appointment. The comb and round brush were also used pretty roughly and kept scratching my scalp. Also we were trying to figure out a plan as to whether or not I would eventually lighten my hair in the future (balayage) or if I would stick to a full color. I was shocked when my stylist proceeded to cut a 12in long strand of my hair, 1.5in from my scalp to do a color test on it! My hair took years to get that long and I get that lock clipped because "it would take an extra 35 minutes to do a color test on it!" This is not justifiable. It's outrageous! Even if it won't show I still don't want my hair cut that short when I'm desperately trying to grow them out! I feel like I was treated like a number ( just another annoying client..!) and that the stylist didn't pay attention to how I felt. Why be so rough? Isn't it suppose to be an enjoyable experience? read more

This review for Leah is way overdue! I've been going to Leah for a few months now and I couldn't be happier I found her. When I first came to her, I had dry, damaged, bleached hair with dark roots. She was able to color my hair in a way that makes my natural roots blend in with my colored hair. She understands what my hair goals are and she is committed to helping me reach them.
