This is not a salon where you can just walk in and become one of their technicians either. I scheduled a facial and eyebrow waxing through the website, it was to be my first with this salon. I received regular updates through text reminding of my appointment. It was scheduled for 245pm on 7/2/24. At 230pm (yes, that's right - 15 minutes before my appointment) I received a phone call that they were canceling my appointment. I was told that an earlier client showed up very late for her appointment, so they were unable to honor mine because now my esthetician was too far behind. Note that I was already and obviously on my way to the salon for my appointment. Its interesting that when you make an appointment, you have to agree to pay a $35 fee if you cancel with no notice or don't show up. Yet, the salon had no problem canceling my appointment with only 15 minutes notice. Its unbelievably unprofessional. I'm surprised that if another client is late enough to derail your whole day, that is not the client that gets to lose out on their appointment. Not that it matters to the salon, but I will not be rescheduling. Very disappointing. Update: the esthetician did reach out by text with an apology, which is nice. read more

I purchased a Groupon for Salon Greco and it was for one process color, treatment and style. The Groupon was worth $39 so it was not a bad deal at all. My colorist was Christine and she was super friendly and nice! She asked me for my input but i told her to just do what she think it's best and my hair turns out really well. At first I walked in thinking that I want Chocolate Brown but since Fall is coming, i went with a burgundy red. I love it! The service (from calling in to make an appointment to the colorist) was very friendly. I feel like even though they are aware that I am using a Groupon, they did not treat me any differently. The only reason why I am not giving this Salon a five star is because I felt like Christine could have been more detailed when it comes to coloring my hair. Because she was not careful, there was a lot of hairdye on my face and neck. Also, I also felt like it was somewhat of a rushed job. If she have taken her time and been more detail oriented I would have given 5 stars. Overall though, I did tip her more than 20% so I was still happy. I had an appointment set up a few days in advance but when I came in, I was very disappointed to be given no regard besides from the very nice receptionist. I sat in the waiting room for 40 minutes without ever being addressed by my stylist or other staff. Apparently the salon was busy doing services for a promotion with the Suwanee magazine and that promo took priority over serving a costumer who had an appointment. They could have at least called and asked to reschedule with me rather than waste my time and ignore me. The owner was there and didn't bother to address that I had been waiting or was even there. Went in trying to establish myself with a new esthetician in Suwanee since mine disappeared after covid. (This salon is very close to my house) Spent $100 and all the esthetician did was wash my face over and over- no mask.. not anything related to a facial. She also talked the whole time and I couldn't relax.. she used some vibrating thing that she brought from home to use on me which I thought was very odd and maybe not the most sanitary. the girl at the front was very sweet but out of all the salons there are in suwanee and around there.. you are better off spending your money somewhere else. Not happy at all and very disappointed. My face felt sticky and greasy when i left and the next morning i had 2 breakouts. Let me start by saying, I don't like having to leave bad reviews for people. This is my last resort. We were very excited for the appointment to have my 14 yr old all "dolled up" for her first homecoming. They had a special for $95 that included hair and makeup. When I called to make the appt, I told them my daughter wanted her hair UP, they said no problem. We got there and were told the special didn't until an updo. At that point I said I would pay any extra for the updo. We were told "ok". Then they come back and tell us they don't know how to do they type of updo she wanted. Finally my daughter said fine, she would just let them do her hair down, the way that was included. The lady did a braid on each side and pulled pieces back into a braided bun in the back, leaving the rest down and curled those pieces. We knew we would have to go home and tweek it to be satisfied. Fine, we moved on to makeup. All she wanted was some eye makeup, no foundation or heavy stuff. Two hours later, we finally left and were completely unsatisfied. But at that point we just had to hurry because we only had 1 hour until homecoming. We live 10 min away. By the time we got home, the bun had completely fallen out. We ended up having to redo her hair and just put it in a pony tail and curled it. While we were taking pics, I noticed a red mark on my daughter's ear. I asked her what it was and she told me the lady BURNED her while curling her hair! The following week, I called the salon to tell them about the whole experience and how unhappy we were. I was told the owners were out of town but they would get back to me soon. It has been weeks and I still haven't heard from them. I waited to make my review, in hopes that they would make the situation right, but no such luck. I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone! Cathie and her dream team saved my hair - they literally work magic! I think the pictures speak for themselves. Listen, my hair... it's always been a problem. It's thick, coarse, wavy, and frizz-prone. Put on top of that the fact that it was totally fried from a bleach job from another respected, high-end salon (I paid almost $300 for this other salon to ruin my hair). Not only did my hair look like a literal rat's nest, but I thought I was going to have to shave my head, so I avoided going to a salon again because I didn't want that or for anyone to make it look worse than it already did. I took a chance with Salon Greco after visiting their website and reading their reviews on their Facebook page. I was ready for a change! Christina, my stylist, gave me a beautiful, fresh color and sleek cut. I so respect her for being so kind and not making any snide comments about how thick and damaged my hair was, and doing such a beautiful job with it. I felt like a million bucks and didn't think my hair could get any more beautiful. Until... Cathie, the owner, came over to talk to me. She said she saw that my hair was hard to tame, that it was thick and unruly. She recommended a treatment called 'Frizz Out, Body In' for my hair, which is all-organic and lasts for seven months. After discussing the treatment with her, I agreed that it was something that I needed. You guys, my hair is like SILK now. No joke. It doesn't feel like my hair, look like my hair, act like my hair... I mean, really, I thought I was dreaming. I have dream hair now. Look at the pictures! The texture has completely changed to silky, tamed, GORGEOUS celebrity hair. My friends keep telling me that I have Kardashian hair! :) My hair has transformed into hair I finally love. I recently moved to Suwanee and was dreading getting my hair colored by someone new. However, after reading such good reviews about Salon Greco on Next Door, I made an appointment with Cathie on a Sunday at noon. First of all--Sunday? I love that! Secondly, Cathie (the owner) was GREAT! She took the time to really talk to me about how I wanted my hair to look and feel, how it would look with my complexion and face shape, etc. I walked in with blonde/brassy hair that was fried and felt like cotton candy. It was terrible. Cathie not only added beautiful highlights and lowlights to my hair to make it look pretty and more natural, she gave me a great cut and did a SOS conditioning treatment on my hair as well. I walked out with beautiful, natural-looking blonde hair that is soft and silky! I'm so happy I went to Salon Greco. I will definitely be going back! read more

Last year, I saw a Groupon deal for a "Cut and Color Package" for only $39 ($205 value) at Salon Greco. After doing a quick search on Yelp, I saw that there were only two good reviews and, at the time, one filtered 2-star review for Salon Greco. I normally stick to Korean beauty salons since they know how to cut Asian hair. However, since the deal was so great, I gave in and took the risk of having a less-than-excellent experience at a salon. I called a few weeks prior to when I wanted to get my hair cut and colored so that I could book an appointment. Although I was placed on hold for a while after the receptionist answered the phone, she was very kind and courteous once she was able to speak with me. She was able to book me a 12:30 pm appointment on a Thursday afternoon. My sister, Yoomee H., accompanied me to my appointment that Thursday. Since it was my first visit, I had to fill out a brief questionnaire of what brands of hair products I was currently using. As we sat in the waiting room, my sister pointed out the fact that they had offered other customers coffee or tea while they were waiting, but they had not made such an offer to either of us. Fortunately, the stylist - Leigha - was ready for me soon after I had completed the questionnaire. I had prepared two photos of how I wanted my hair cut to look (layers) so that it would be easier to describe. She glanced at the photos and informed me that she understood what I wanted. Then, we talked about the color that I wanted for my hair. I had previously dyed my hair at home and my hair had grown out a couple inches since then, so there was a noticeable difference in shade. Therefore, the stylist informed me that if I wanted all of my hair to be one uniform color, I would have to get two different shades - one for the top portion that had grown out, and one for the dyed bottom portion. However, this would cost an additional $15 - which I had no intention of spending. So I respectfully declined the offer to do that. Although she had warned me against the other option of only dying the top portion, I went ahead and asked her to do that. As I waited about 25 minutes for the dye to set in, I sat at the center of the salon area, and read a magazine. At this point, for the very first time during my visit, the stylist asked if I would like some water. I would have preferred some coffee or tea (which, once again, was offered to other customers), but I said yes to the water. After Leigha had washed out the dye and blow-dried my hair, I was pleased with how well she had blended my previously dyed hair with the newly dyed portion. I thanked her for for doing a great dye job, and we moved on to the haircut portion of my visit. As she was cutting, I noticed that she made the layers more "choppy" than I'm used to, but she styled it pretty well. So I left pretty satisfied. However, after I washed my hair a day later, I realized that the ends were cut very bluntly. I wasn't happy with the way the back section of my hair looked, and it was very difficult to style on my own. I checked Salon Greco's website and saw their guarantee for satisfaction, which states: "If for any reason you are not satisfied with the service you receive, call us and let us know as soon as possible. We cannot refund money spent on a service, but we will work with you to assure your total satisfaction." Since I wasn't completely satisfied, I called and booked a follow-up appointment for the next week. When I arrived and told the same stylist, Leigha, about my concerns. She told me that she had asked me how I wanted the back of my haircut to look during my first visit, but I clearly recalled that she had not. In addition, she tried to convince me that the way I wanted my hair layered was "out of style." To make an even longer story shorter, she washed my hair, restyled it, told me that it looked fine, begrudgingly trimmed part of my front layers so that they were even on both sides, and didn't change the back. Then, she dared to tell the lady at the front desk to CHARGE me about $45 for a trim and styling! Doesn't she know about their "guarantee for satisfaction"? Not only did she do that, my sister heard her complain loudly and talk crap about me while I went to the restroom. Craziness. Nevertheless, I told the lady at the front desk that I was told I wouldn't be charged for this when I had made my appointment, and she kindly said that was fine. Overall, Salon Greco gets 2.5 stars - mostly because the stylist was incredibly rude. I did appreciate the cleanliness of the salon and the friendliness of the front desk staff, and the hair dye job was great. However, the stylist's attitude - and the fact that she was talking crap about me before I had even LEFT - is just unacceptable. I love love love this place. I've tried 3 other local salons, and this by far and away has been the best -- I believe I finally found my keeper. I got a Groupon for a cut/scalp massage ($29). The stylist, Brittany, asked what I do to my hair, what my concerns were etc. I showed her pictures of what I wanted and she nailed it. She looked at my hair and explained what it would benefit from (styling/color/cut wise). They have nifty little massage chairs that were so comfortable for the shampooing (now, they're not going to give you a deep tissue massage or anything, but it was way better than every other salon I've been to with normal reclining chairs). She explained the shampoo/conditioner products she put in my hair and the scalp massage was great. For the conditioning, she put the product on and covered it with a hot towel for about 5 minutes. I've never had anyone do that either. Very nice. She cut it wet, then dried it and refined the cut. After that she did the styling and it came out awesome. She gave me styling tips and offered to answer any questions I might have. She was very knowledgable and I love how she explained everything, and wasn't just trying to get me in and out. She put the products she used up on the checkout counter so you can see what they are and get them if you're interested. They also do 20% off if you get 3+ products. Since I had such an awesome Groupon deal, and she did such an incredible job, I went ahead and got all three products -- I never do that. On the way out she gave me a packet with a "menu" and some referral cards that give you and the referree $20 off a service, and a little tour of the spa area -- which felt very relaxing and offered a great variety of services. The receptionist was very sweet (as was my stylist), and the salon was very clean and felt comfortable. I really, honestly can't think of a single bad thing to say about this place. They were quick, but not rushed. They were also so super sweet to my 7 year old that came with me. I booked an appointment in a couple weeks for a color job and can't wait to see how that turns out. It took us a bit to get in for our appointments due to our first ones being canceled last minute, and my daughter's second appointment being canceled. While at our appointments, we both experienced high pressure sales tactics, and while my daughter was there, they talked her into getting a Balayage. She had decided she would cancel due to the cost but we were then told she would get it for a great discount due to their feeling bad about all of the last minute cancellations. It was her first time having a Balayage, so when her stylist began saying she was putting this in her hair and that in her hair without mentioning any additional costs and not asking her if she would like them but just moving forward in doing it, my daughter did not think to ask if they cost more. It was not presented in a way that made her think so. In her past experience with hair color jobs at previous places, everything added to her hair and all treatments were included in the given walk out price for the service. She did not realize this would be different. So it wound up being that her walk out price was a lot higher than the initial price given due to the cost of all the add ins. The take away feeling was one of being taken advantage of and being given misleading prices. She came home in tears since it took a much bigger chunk of her money than she would have agreed to had she known the stuff being added to her hair came with added costs. Had she been made aware of this, she would have declined, as she was planning to save it to take to college with her. When I called to discuss the circumstances, I was told the owner would call me. I did not receive a call and called back a couple days later when the girl who did my daughter's hair happened to answer. I expressed my unhapiness again to her, and she was apologetic and assured me the communication break down was not to intentionally take advantage of my daughter. I explained that had my daughter known the actual bottom line, or been asked if she was okay with those treatments which cost more, she would not have elected to spend her money that way. She was wanting to take it to school with her. In that phone conversation, she placed me on hold to find the owner and came back to tell me I'd just missed her, and she would have the owner call me. I waited for over a week, with no call from the owner. I called again and spoke to the receptionist who told me she was with a client and again, assured me she would give the message to the owner to call me. No call. In a different review, I was made aware that the owner's husband did pass away a few days ago, and for that, I am very sorry. There are many details from our circumstances I am leaving out, but the bottom line is that in our experience, we felt that my daughter was taken advantage of, we were mislead, and we were unsuccessful in reaching the owner after ample attempts, to speak with her about how we might rectify this situation. This all began in May, and the appointment which wound up costing more than the expected walk out price was in June. It is unfortunate timing that we were still muddling through this and the owner is now grieving a great loss, but we feel that the business practices we experienced from beginning to now were unethical with no attempt on their end to help make it right, and I also am not a huge fan of high pressure or aggressive sales tactics. It has come to my attention that today, while with a client, the owner was discussing this with that client in the salon. I would love to discuss it with her myself rather than her talking to other clients at the salon. Once the owner has had time to grieve, I am hopeful she will reach out to me so we can discuss making this situation right. Rude, Unprofessional & won't honor own specials! Called about special posted online. All the special stated "book hair color/ receive a massage at 50% off" & THAT'S IT. When I called to book my appointment I spoke with the receptionist in depth that I would like to use the special & book a master level stylist. So it comes time to leave and as soon as I get in my car 20 minutes before my appointment they called saying that only an apprentice can do my hair, eventhough that isn't stated anywhere on the special. I explained that since the discount doesn't state that & since I'm paying for a master they should honor this, but of course they refused. So I asked to speak with a manager & after a 7 minute hold she picked up and right off the bat was very rude & defensive. So I re-explain everything & she goes on to tell me "well we can't use it anyway because it expired in July" OMG LOL These ppl are a joke. They post on the site a special that has all these last minute rules & expiration dates but refuse to honor the special & was completely rude & unprofessional about the whole thing for their own F-UP. Guess what you lost a customer over stupid special & then made an a$$ out of yourselves because you're to childish to take responsibility. My Spa Day at Salon Greco was Very Relaxing and Rejuvenating! First, I had Massage with Shanna and it was excellent! She paid special attention to the areas of my body that were sore and achy. Shanna has a very relaxing and Therapeutic touch. She also knows how to put just the right amount of pressure on the trigger points and knows when to ease the pressure.The massage was not just a fuffy massage or painful but I definitely felt relaxed after. Shanna also used hot towels, Real time Pain Relief, and stretched my legs. Next, I had my nails done with Angela. Angela is super fun and entertaining, she had me laughing my butt off. She did an excellent job of cleaning and shaping my poor nails. Also, I chose a silver chrome CND gel polish but she did not stop there and recommended a silver chrome powder additive! Which I turned out really awesome and shiny! I can't wait to try out other services and have another day at the spa! I walked in, noticed there's a separate spa & salon area which I found interesting. Waited for about maybe 10 mins before I was seen. They are rude and unreliable. I had spent several weeks putting together an event that I was paying for through an organization that is hosted by one of the owners. I had told them I was doing the event and they knew I had found a location for the event and gotten a price quote. I informed Kathi about all of this; the pricing, the location, the date. I fill out the application and sent it back to the Kathi and the store manager told me that they had allowed someone else to book for that date that I had requested. Let me start by saying I've been looking for a great stylist since moving to Buford/Suwanee last year. I went to another "recommended" salon and they did not do what I asked. So after seeing good reviews and a Groupon for a full color and Hydressence treatment for Salon Greco, I said "Why not! I'll try it out". You all DID NOT disappoint! I was kindly greeted when I came in, asked if I'd like a beverage, and enjoyed the ambience/comfort of the waiting area. I saw Melissa who, in my many years of having my hair colored, did one of THE BEST jobs I've had. She is full of personality and awesome to chat with while styling. She paid attention to exactly what I asked to have done to fix what the other salon had not done right and even took me outside to make sure the color made me happy in natural light as well. I came in for a Gentleman's pedicure. When I arrived the hostess where cheerful and nice and seemed to be very helpful. When I got back to the spa area I wasn't to impressed with the 2 lame chairs (they are way better at the little nail salons in the grocery store shopping center). My husband and I are Salon Greco fans.. Love the Salon and love the massage chairs where you get your hair washed, products, and quality service. Recently we decided to get a couple's massage and pamper ourselves. it was absolutely wonderful !! Alexis and Daniel did an amazing job.. asked us where we felt we needed to add some focus .. applying pressure but always asking to comment if too much.. it was an absolutely wonderful way to completely decompress away the stress from mind and body ! I had the chance to try the Greco Facial and a Swedish Massage. To say I experienced the epitome of relaxation would almost be an understatement. The environment was clean, quiet, and relaxing and perfect for a little "me time." The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, and the spa itself offered an impressive line of high-end beauty products. My skin was glowing and instantly felt smoother after my facial and I haven't been as relaxed as I was after my massage since before having children. I have been using this salon for 5 years now and they do an excellent job on my hair! Great cuts, highlights, and I have had them dye my blonde hair to auburn and brunette over the years. They are excellent at listening to what you want and then giving their advice on what will and wont work with your hairtype so you get the best results and keep your hair healthy. read more

I got a spring time make up look done by Chloe which turned out beautiful!! if you're looking for homecoming, prom, wedding or even a night out look Chloe is the person to go to. she uses all natural make up which by the end of the night didn't irritated my skin. I got my eye brows done by Monica, if your skin is irritated by wax or turns obnoxiously red come to Salon Greco their wax was amazing!!! it didn't turn me so red and the pain was barley noticeable. I purchased a coupon on groupon on Octorber 3rd 2013, it is $29 for a haircut and scalp massage package (up to a $103 total value); Shampoo, haircut, and style (up to a $75 value)Deep-cleansing scalp massage (a $28 value) I do consider they cheated on their advertisement. They did shampoo and hair cut. I asked them I did not have any scalp massage, the lady said the product has peppermint smell is the deep cleaning, and I sat on a massage chair is their so-called deep cleansing scalp massage.
