When I explained the style I wanted, she immediately told me it wouldn't look good -- not in a helpful or constructive way, but in a way that made me feel belittled. Then, instead of working with me or offering alternatives, she went ahead and did the exact opposite of what I asked for. The result? A completely botched haircut that I now have to get fixed elsewhere and spend another couple hundred. This experience was frustrating, upsetting, and honestly humiliating. My hair was gray (my choice) and every stylist I went to before Jess led off with hair color options before my butt even hit their chair. Jess was the ONLY hair stylist who didn't do this.
