I'm very dissatisfied. I recently moved to Warren and I haven't found someone who I like that can cut with confidence. My friend recommended Sarah here so I contacted the salon to see if Sarah was in to get my haircut and they gave me her number to text to see if she has openings. I texted her and she responded with "no I'm sorry. I'm not taking new clients right now and that she is booked until December. But thanks for acquiring." Being a licensed cosmetologist myself, this is NOT the correct way to go about this. Plus, I believe they accept walk ins. I would go elsewhere or get ur haircut by someone else. read more

I have been coming to Salon Inspire for a couple years now, and always work with Maryam. She is an excellent, experienced stylist. She always listens to my input, and then lets me know what is realistic for the type of hair that I have. She always gives me the most beautiful cut, and I get great compliments from complete strangers! The salon itself is clean, pretty and relaxed. Just got my hair colored and trimmed and a blow out Wednesday I'm in with my hair! (As always). When you are at this salon, you feel like your family. The service you get is impressive. The prices for any hair cut, style, blow out, up-do, colored, highlights , lowlights, or salon professional hair products are inexpensive!! You can tell the owner is a dedicated hard worker and is still in process with improving her already beautiful salon. it's a cool vibe going on in there'! Went in there for a last minute attempt for a "hair fix." I had gotten an asymmetrical cut about 6 months ago and hadn't gotten it cut again since, it was grown out, lopsided and bleh. The young girl, Maryam, is probably the first hair dresser I've ever had that did EXACTLY what I wanted. Fixed the length and unevenness while keeping as much length as possible. She spend a lot of time getting it just right, offered me a water, waxed my eyebrows and even gave me a 20% off coupon for my next visit. It's a nice little place for "me time", the only complaint I have is they don't have a credit card machine--just one of the card readers that connects to your phone and it didn't work. read more

Alexis is the most amazing stylist I have ever met! She's super friendly! I went in one day after a recommendation from a friend and now I won't go to anyone else besides her. The place is super close to my house and a very good price for what I get. I always have a picture of what I want when I go in and I show it to Alexis, she gives me a couple of ideas of what she can do and we just go with it. This most recent time I showed her a color I wanted and she was able to do it no problem. My hair turned out better than ever. The color was so vibrant. It was amazing! I always can't wait to show off my hair color to everyone when I go back to work or out with friends! read more

This was my first and probably my last visit to the this salon. I went for a pedicure only. The pedicure room is a very dimly lit room in the back of the salon. The tools may or may not be cleaned between customers, there was no way to tell. The women doing the pedicure had to take two phone calls during my visit. The second call was about 5-10 minutes long. Also during my visit I found out the owner has a medical condition that makes her vomit. I found this out after listening to her vomit in the next room. I realize some things are beyond anyone's control but come on. The polish job was also so-so. But the women doing the pedicure was very nice and seemed genuinely apologetic. However, I still don't see me going back. read more

I have always worn my hair long and Shannon is great with long hair so I will go to her till she retires. My hair turns out great every time THANKS SHANNON! I found Salon Inspire to be very nice upon my first visit. I love how it's decorated, feels very inviting. I got in right away and everyone including the owner was really great considering they had the stylist come in on her day off to accommodate the only time I could make it there and then I missed the appt. because I put the wrong time in my calender! OMG, I felt so bad and embarrassed. They were so nice and just rescheduled it for me. A previous reviewer couldnt be more wrong. Hello? These women are real hardworking people. How horrible to pick on someone who was not feeling well (and still made it to work) Most people if they are so picky should bring their own pedicure tools. It had to be said! I recently went to Salon Inspire after reading reviews on a few other sites. I have to say I am EXTREMELY disappointed. I called the morning of and requested a color correction that day bc I was in a bind (this is not my normal salon) and while I do appreciate them squeezing me in, I now fully regret going there. When I first sat down I should have trusted my instinct and left. They allowed someone who has had there chair for less than two months attempt a color correction on me! I left with my hair more orange than when I arrived!! I called back about an hour later the manager said the owner would fix my hair a few days later. Well, when I arrived I was approached by someone who has only worked at the salon for less than two years. I asked her to put a toner over the brassiness of the last toner they put on me. She suggested more highlights. I asked her numerous times to put a brass banishing (violet) toner on my hair. She said that was what the purple shampoo was for. Purple shampoo is not a toner!! I get my hair done at a very reputable salon in the area and never once have they not toned my blonde. Seeing I was still upset, she said she would write me up a ticket for payment. I had to pay again for a product that didn't correct the problem!! Never once was I approached by the owner or management!! While the stylists may be nice (I tipped twenty dollars both times, even though I was unhappy), this salon is completely unprofessional. It seems to me that they need to take some classes and continue their education. STICK TO PERMS SALON INSPIRE!! Thanks for charging me $150 dollars for a complete waste of time. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN WHAT THIS SALON WAS ABOUT WHEN I READ HOW THEY INCORRECTLY SPELLED THEIR SERVICES. NEVER GO HERE. THE OWNER CONTACTED ME ON FB AND DIDN'T OFFER ANY HELP OR ANY SORT OF REFUND. Salon Inspire is the most amazing place to get your hair done! I have been going to this salon for almost a year. I drive 45 minutes, all the way from royal oak, to look fabulous! Great prices and so friendly. My hair always looks amazing when I walk out of the salon. The color and highlights always looks fabulous! I never know how I want my hair, what color I should get or the cut I should get but Jen "who is the owner of this fabulous salon" knows exactly what to do to my hair. You won't ever be disappointed, you have my word! First let me start by saying; the owner Jennifer is an excellent colorist and stylist for the most part. I say for the most part because after years of going to her, It has come time to move on. While getting my hair done, I want my stylist's attention to be on my hair and myself as a customer, this isn't the case with Jennifer, she is consistently on her phone! When she was younger I put this off to her youth. I have run out of excuses. Professional business owners working in a customer service based field need to set examples for their employees. Age and experience has not taught Jennifer that, her home life needs to stay at home and her business should focus on her clients. Jennifer raves about her husband, but he calls and bosses her around and has even had her in tears while doing my hair. He seems to control every aspect of her life including her business, that he is helping to demolish and she is blind to it! I feel as if I watched this girl grow up, without growing, and it pains me to write this about her as she is very talented. I am at a point in my life that the salon is supposed to be a nice day out of pampering and relaxation. Not a day of being ignored while the person doing my hair is over booked and on the phone. She has also tried to send me to her other girls, when I have had scheduled appointments with her, that had been scheduled months in advance. I did this once and was very unhappy. Customer service is not a priority for salon inspire. It is an environment of unorganized chaos, that could be great if they did a complete business overview and left their personal lives at home. read more
