I am from New York city however, I had been in the area for an extended visit with family. I desperately needed my hair done, and found Saloon Naava via Instagram. It was a wonderful experience overall. I simply booked by making an inquiry online then confirming by phone. I booked an appointment for a relaxer, cut, and style with Erica Grier. Upon entering, I was greeted kindly and immediately started on my service. I don't recall the name of the young lady who relaxed my hair, but she did a great job. Also very attentive. Next up, Erica worked her magic. She brought my hair back to life and created a beautiful cut with curls, which is something I don't typically do but I loved it. In addition to her talent, she is very personable and I enjoyed talking to her. The atmosphere of the shop is very friendly and family-like. While you're being serviced, there is some great R&B music playing, but the staff are also having great conversation with customers. I felt very relaxed and at ease. More than that, I visited during a time in which I had been overcoming an ankle injurt and was using a knee scooter. The staff were so kind and accommodated me as much as possible. Pricing was pretty much within the range I typically pay in NY, which I think was fair and reasonable. The salon itself was modern, spacious, and clean. They also offer a variety of other services including makeup and facials. Overall I had a great experience. Hidden jewel! Oh my! How did I not know about this salon??? Well we can start with working from home and Covid. I'm all natural now and shorter hair so haven't had a need to visit the salon. I pretty much wash/condition every week and knock on wood no issues. But today I needed my wig styled & cut for an upcoming event. I searched for salons in the Snellville area a month ago but never made an appointment. Reviews were good for Salon Naava. I noted it to follow up but got sidetracked. Low & behold I called 2wks ago about cutting & styling my wig. The receptionist and I played phone tag for a couple of days so again I let it go. My husband informed me of this birthday party coming up this weekend so I was like ok I have to make an appointment. I went online made an appointment with Keisha Jones. I later received a call from the receptionist that she received the message and that she would check with another stylist . I didn't hear back so I assumed Keisha was it since Kristie was unavailable. Fast forward appointment scheduled today at 5:30. Weather was pretty bad raining all day traffic bumper to bumper. I was about 5 min away but I still called just to let her know. Upon arrival the receptionist greeted me and suggested I freshen up. She walked me to the restroom and informed me Keisha would be with me shortly. The salon is very nice and chic! Love the decor lots of inspirational messages posted in the restroom along the walls throughout the salon. Keisha greeted me within 2 min of sitting in the lobby. Very nice warm spirited lady. She asked what was going on and how I wanted the wig styled. She did an amazing job! Sorry didn't take pics but I will next time. The wig was too long so I opted for a Bob w/center part. She also gave me pointers on the care of the wig and my natural hair. I will most certainly visit the salon again. They offer a wide range of services from color, cuts, extensions, Rod sets, hair & scalp treatments, relaxers, etc. Oh they also have Bridal services - eye brows, eyelash extensions, and professional makeup. I had my very first visit to this salon today. I wanted the earliest appointment I could get, so I was scheduled for 7am. They were open and ready for me when I arrived. I was pleasantly greeted by the staff and offered coffee and snacks right away. My stylist, Shakira, was awesome. She made conversation, was soooo nice and understanding of my concerns. Since I hadn't been to a shop in a long time, I just didn't know what to expect. I also didn't know what style I wanted. She suggested one that included braiding the front of my hair. I have a high tolerance for pain but in my experience, braiding has been very painful--- not today. My hair looks great and my scalp feels normal. There was zero pain!!! I selected a relaxer for my service, but after a scalp check, my stylist recommended a a partial. Can I tell you that the most important thing about a Professional Stylist is one the will check your hair and ask important questions, before proceeding with services. She could've just taken my money and thanked me with a smile. I liked her the very 1st time that I went there, and she posted a video of her finished masterpiece.
