Due to COVID, I had not been at a salon since March 2020. My last hair appointment was with a stylist that I wasn't happy with. I decided to start coloring my own hair. My last coloring went horribly wrong. I had called and spoke with the owner Mary. She was very thoughtful and understanding. She reached out to a stylist at the salon and I was able to book an appointment within 72 hours. Victoria Lanay was a professional and took her time with me. She was clear with the steps that she needed to take in order to get my hair to where it usually is, blonde. My son is starting kindergarten this year and he was due for a haircut to make his entrance. This is his first time picking out his own haircut and Chris did such an amazing job. This is the second time we've been to the salon and both times have been wonderful. The place is clean professional everyone is super friendly and Mr. Consola is spectacular. Even though in one of the pictures, Hawk isn't smiling he did say that he's gonna be the coolest kid in school on the way home. Thank you so Much! We will continue coming back. Bob Rogers is a great mix of being personable and professional, and he gives the best massage ever! The Salon Nuriche is in a lovely, renovated vintage home in downtown Auburn, and the massage studio is beautifully decorated, complete with a sitting area and an electric fireplace. It's also quiet, as it's located on the floor below the hair salon. Bob's hour-long massage lasts at least one full hour after he has carefully inquired about what type and strength of massage and whether you have sore muscles or concerns. He also requests communication if you desire more of or a different approach along the way. Bob and the Salon are a great find! read more

As a first time client at Salon Nuriche, I wasn't really sure what to expect BUT was really super pleased with the experience. I received a gift certificate from an auction benefit I attended and was excited to use the products in my gift basket (Redken and Pureology) and try a haircut from a fun new stylist, Brian Greco. Brian was such a delight, telling me all about his travels and sharing about his fiance, who is what brought him to Auburn from the bay area. The conversation flowed easily and I very much enjoyed the amount of time Brian took with my hair. He gave me honest and helpful input on what would be most flattering for my face and still be a youthful and fun cut. I left VERY happy! Brians business cards lists him as not only a stylist BUT also as a color specialist, which is exciting to have in the area. Recently discovered this lovely full service salon located in downtown Auburn; and I've been working my way through their list of services Dori Costa has done a beautiful job with my hair cut and touch up. She really listens and pays attention to what I want. Dori is exacting and the results have been exactly what I wanted. Next I experienced the best facial ever with MaryJane Leigon. She uses Lira products (new to me). I especially appreciate how she explains each step of the process and the products she's using. Her gentle and professional approach complete with neck and shoulder massage made for an experience I can't wait to repeat. In fact, I was so taken with MaryJane's professionalism that I made the leap to have permanent eye liner and brows done. Actually lash line enhancement and my natural eyebrow lines done permanently. Something I've wanted to do for years but never felt confident enough to go through with, and I'm loving the results! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a truly professional esthetician. Next up I'm planning a mani pedi with Quincy and there's also an experienced massage therapist on staff. Bottom Line: great place. Calm and artful decor. Reasonable prices and personable service. The stylist section is a little nosier than I would like but definitely worth a try if you are looking for a new stylist or manicurist. Not sure if the place offers massage. Longer version if you have time to read: This little gem is located in a spanish style house. The conversion from house to salon is seamless. Although it is a small space, it doesn't feel cluttered in the least. The decor is calming and peaceful. The lighting is bright and sunny and the place has an airy feel to it. The place has several spaces. The ones I noticed and liked are: a stylist area in the front of the salon, a hair wash and drying area and a mani and pedi area with great cooper bowls. The bathroom is clean and comfy with plants, lotions and candles. This place does not have a lot of cluttered decor - just a few nice touches here and there. I loved the overall tranquil and relaxed atmosphere there. The prices are reasonable. Hair cuts are about $45. I had color correction done (yikes) and it cost me $50. What a bargain! I was VERY happy with the result. My color came out even and a pretty shade of brown. Disclosure: I followed my long time stylist there. Obviously, I like her or I wouldn't go there. My only caveat is the stylist working area can get a little loud. If all four people work there at the same time with blower dryers or loud customers - it may not be very calming. I didn't have this problem but could see it coming. Recommendation: Yes. Definitely worth trying it out. I really liked the ambiance (that is half the battle with salons, right?). The prices are fair and it is hassle free. Personable service on top if all. read more

I love going here so much! Katrina has cut, styled and colored my hair for a couple of years now and it never disappoints! The feel of the salon is so warm and welcoming. I found my new salon! Michelle gave me an updated cut to liven up my looks, and I absolutely love it! She is an amazing stylist: talented, friendly, and attentive. I especially appreciated the quick consultation before the cut. She talked with me until we were both on the same page (which is most important for me, listening to what I want!!). She took the time to listen and I felt that she genuinely wanted to hear what I had to say. In the past I have had numerous stylists act like they heard me out and then end up doing what they think best. Michelle has true talent! I will definitely ask for her next time. The salon itself is nicely decorated, intimate but not cluttered or claustrophobic. My favorite feature, the natural lighting!! I actually felt pretty. Usually that is a part of going to a salon I never look forward to: seeing all my blemishes and flaws in hideous flourescent lighting. Natural light flooded the salon and it was the only time I've actually enjoyed looking in the mirror while getting a cut! Loved it.
