My hair stylist of 3 years, Amberley, just moved to this salon and the atmosphere is amazing! Very clean and cute set up. All of the ladies there seem very nice. Best part....the hair washing sinks are actually comfortable! My neck isn't sore afterwards and they even recline so you can have your feet up while you're getting your scalp massaged. Cute robe covers (not just the standard black capes). I am platinum blonde and if you are looking to get any blonde or red coloring done i HIGHLY recommend you see Amberley, she is amazing! I love my regular cut and color with Jill. I recently added bangs and am LOVING the new style. Jill always finds a way to make my hairstyle wishes come true. :) And! She makes the bangs commitment so much easier by offering free bang-trims between regular cuts. I love any chance to sit in her chair and will never go anywhere else. I made a same day appointment, and I appreciated them getting me in so timely. I have medium shoulder length hair, and just needed a partial foil. The stylist was very kind, took her time, and did a fine job with the foils. She asked if I needed a cut as well, and I told her if the ends needed to be cleaned up go ahead and trim them, but otherwise I was fine with the length & did not need a cut. I was there a total of 2 hours, and happy with the results. I like volume in my hair, so she suggested a volumizing shampoo & conditioner they carried, and also encouraged me to purchase a deep conditioning treatment i would use once a week. Sticker shock, when the receptionist rung me up and said my total was $337.00! I have been coloring/foiling my hair for 30 years, and I have gone everywhere from fancy salons to Supercuts if necessary. I have NEVER been charged this much! The products, come to find out, were $45 for shampoo, $45 for conditioner, and $50 for the deep treatment. Small bottles, and I sure hope they do what they say they do! ugh...... I called this morning to have her give me a breakdown on the charges for services. She said it was $120 for partial foil, and $60 for the haircut. I explained to her i only trimmed off a few dead ends in the back and it wasn't even equivelent to a 1/4 inch. Needless to say I am very disappointed at the amount they charged, and will NOT be returning to their salon. read more

I love Salon O!!! I had been getting my hair done for years with a particular stylist that kept moving around and my commute continued to get longer. I decided to try a salon near my home in Issaquah, Salon O. I love the professional staff, the friendly atmosphere and the way my hair looks when i leave. I have had a few stylist cut and color my hair in the time I have been coming and each time I have been extremely pleased. Yesterday i went in for my appointment and met Evie who was very friendly and listened to what I wanted to have done, the results were amazing! I went there for a haircolor and hair cut. I was with my son who is 1.5 years. They checked me in and asked me all the details to choose color and what type of cut i wanted. After waiting for 40 mins they told me they couldn't do it since I had a toddler accompanying me. He was sitting very peacefully!! They should have told me this earlier when they SAW him with me at the time of check-in. Pathetic service and unprofessional rude staff! Very poor rating! Amy Phillips did not listen to what communicated clearly! She cut zig zag layers in the back of my hair that will take years to grow out! In tears, I did not even get an apology! In 30 minutes, she ruined years of growing my layers out! Unbelievable! The owner tried to blame me! I made appointments for my children get their hair cut, and 30 minutes prior to their appointment, they called and cancelled telling me a lie about the reason. I was told they couldn't be seen due to scheduling, when the true reason was due to me speaking up about my bad experience there. Take it out on my children, really? read more

This review is long over due. I wish I wrote it sooner, as now I forgot the lady's name who destroyed my hair. I came in at the end of July hoping to get my hair colored before leaving for a trip. Upon arrival I told the stylist I wanted an ashy brown color but strictly said I did not want any grey or weird tones to it. Fast forward several hours and $200 later...I come out and my hair is horribly mis-colored. My once beautiful hair is now a horrible pale blue-ish green color. I completely understand that mistakes happen, however, the stylist REFUSED to agree that there was any blue or green to it. I came back the next day (having to leave work early) for her to "tone" it. The tone took the nasty color kinda out however it was still definitely NOT a ashy brown. It was similar to a child that spent all day at the pool. Needless to say I gave up and wore my hair up or in a hat until my hair recovered enough to go somewhere else to get it fixed. In all I spend $450 total to get my hair fixed (That is A LOT of money for a college student). I am really really hard to displease when it comes to my hair and the fact that I cried over something as petty as my hair should really say something. I truly hope that nobody ever has this experience and hope that the woman who did my hair can perhaps go through additional training and learn from her mistake rather than deny it. read more

I came in on a whim one day to get a balayage done. What was great about the salon was that they were able to fit me in right away, so I went in 15 min after I called to book an appt. The downside to this review was really the cost associated with the service I received. I inquired whether a balayage or a full color would be the best for what I was looking for. It turned out that a full color was really what I got. My stylist had suggested she could do a full balayage and did just that for me. While she was doing it, I noticed she didn't leave any hair untouched. This is not a balayage from what I was aware of, but I let her do her thing. While I wasn't too thrilled with the first color that was placed in my hair (it was a bit too light for my liking, and I explained earlier that I wanted a light/medium brown, not a brassy blonde), she went ahead and went to a darker tone that I was happier with. But that wasn't without her letting me know that she wasn't charging me extra for that color. I didn't realize that she was doing me a "favor" in getting me the color I originally requested. The price for the balayage was still incredibly high (over $180), more than I've ever paid at Seven. What's worse, I felt and was told by everyone after the fact that my hair was really just an all over color, not at all a balayage. While I was fine with the end result, she really should have just told me she was doing an all over color and charged for that, rather than pawn it off as a balayage fee for leaving trace strands behind. There is no color definition at all, it really is just one full color. So essentially I was charged over $180 for a full color. Are you sure I wasn't just charged extra for that 2nd "extra" color to get my hair the tone I asked for? Needless to say, while I did get a result I liked, I don't feel the price was at all worth it. My stylist was Danna, she did a great job and friendly. My first time at the salon was great. Convenient location, nice ambiance, friendly staff, almost no wait time for the stylist to be ready. She did a great job on the haircut, I tried to explain what I wanted and the end result was satisfying. The salon is modern and works for a college student like myself. I asked for long layers in my mid-length hair and she worked a cut that I liked and that will help my hair. Looks like I've found my salon! read more

The first time I went to Salon O, I had an OK experience. Having thick, curly hair, I have a difficult time finding a stylist who knows how to cut my hair. Brooke did a pretty good job the first time, but when I went back for a second cut, I was sadly disappointed. She literally missed sections of my hair. I've been going to Elizabeth at Salon O for about two years now. I love what she does with my hair! She's been foiling and cutting it and just this week we did Balayage for the first time and I am in love with it. I usually go in pretty open-minded on what I want to do with my hair. I wish I could give this place less than one star. I called to see if I could make an appointment for a simple hair cut. I told the receptionist that I had just finished my chemo treatment and I didn't have a lot of hair to cut but that I wanted to even it all out so it can grow nicely. She very rudely said "I'm not sure if we can do that for you but let me go ask a stylist" I was on hold for about 5 minutes until she picked up the phone again and said "we can't fit you in today sorry" she didn't even ask if I would like to come in another day or anything, she just hung up on me. I could not believe how poor this lady's customer service was. I have heard great things about the stylists here but the receptionist turned me away from this salon for good. I hope that something can be done about this because I don't want any one to experience what I did! It left me very upset. read more

I finally found not only a great salon but my all time most favorite salonista!! Her name is Jennifer and she is the one to go to. I have been to tons of salons in search of the perfect stylist and i am so glad i found oneso close and convient. Jennifer is a warm hearted honest stylist whowants you to leave the salon looking your very best!!! And in the end isn that what we all want!?? I went to Salon O for a couple of "mini" foils by Janae (in between my regular person who did full foils) and loved the color. I decided to finally leave the other salon and switch to her for full foils. I dropped in for a quick chat a few days before my appt because there was something I hoped she could do a little bit differently on the crown when she did the full foil (and I wanted her thoughts before I was actually in the chair). She always seemed somewhat overly sensitive so I made sure I was really nice to her while discussing it, careful to let her know that I loved her color and looked forward to coming back in a few days. Two days after I was in there, I received a phone call from the "customer relations" department and was told that Janae was no longer comfortable working with me and that, in addition to not seeing her, I was not welcome to see anyone else at the salon either. I was banned from the salon for nothing more than addressing a concern with the hairdresser!! No one ever asked me my side of the story, and I was treated so coldly by this woman on the phone. Who isn't allowed to discuss their likes/dislikes with their hairdresser??!! So.... we have a stylist who can't handle anything remotely considered "critical" and an owner or manager who has no problem booting customers for absolutely no reason. In addition, the woman who works at the checkin desk is also very cold and can really flash the dirty looks at customers. I'm sure there are a number of good stylists that work there, but honestly, there are plenty of other places that do hair beautifully where customers are treated with kindness, fairness and their business is highly valued. read more

This place is terrible. Classic case of poor management and under-trained hair stylists. Tabatha's salon take over couldnt even flip this place around. Most of the hair dressers do not know how to cut hair. The price they charge is out rageous for what you get. Rudy's can beat this place any day, and thats not saying much. You get what you pay for, I would recommend you avoid it unless you want girls fresh from greenwood hair academy learning the trade on your head. Today we were told to come in at 1030 and when we showed up, we were informed there would be no stylists in until 1130. So we had the choice of waiting an hour with the akward receptionist alone or moving on. Move on we did. Sadly it has the feeling of being at a 7-11. There is nothing great inside, nothing needed or worth going in for, yet it somehow never goes out of business and just sits there, an eye sore with no relevance or importance. I vote for the space to be taken over by a 7-11 infact, at least then you wouldnt be over charged for crap. read more
