The wash was so relaxing, she took her time, and the blow dry came out super smooth, shiny, and full of volume. My hair has literally never looked this good. I was a walk in with no appointment and Paris did a wash & cut w/ long layers for me and I love it! Her communication was great, and she did a great haircut in a reasonable amount of time. Today i had an appointment with Shirin, well I thought I had an appointment with her, I reached our to her directly through her Instagram she told me to text her on a number, I did, sent her a pic she quoted me gave me a time, I get there and apparently she booked me with another girl, I did not talk to this other girl I have never seen her work shirin had done my hair prior so I know her work, this was unprofessional, when you are booking with that specific person you are not booking with anyone else. I highly recommend Paris. Since it was my first appointment with her, I was a little anxious. But she gave me her full attention, didn't rush and made me feel comfortable. She took time to really listen and understand what I wanted her to do for me. She did a great job of correcting a bad haircut without cutting off any more than necessary. And she added just the right highlights that blend with my gray hair so I won't need to keep coloring the roots. Paris is friendly and the salon is quite nice. read more

Shirin is the most skilled, wonderful hair stylist I have ever had cut my hair. Cutting my hair has been a big deal for me for the longest time because it was very long, and I had defined myself by it. People knew me as the "girl with the long hair". When someone messed up my hair years back, it would destroy me. This time, I chose to cut it off and release that story I had told myself for so many years. My Mom & I have been coming to Diana for years now. We followed her to Salon Plum from her previous salon. Diana is considered part of our family! The salon is always clean. The front desk is friendly & the stations feel very spacious. We are always invited to help ourselves to soda or coffee. Diana is a hero because she patiently fixed my nightmare hair when I first met her. I had been attempting to bleach my own hair at home with products from Sally's-- if you know anything about hair dye, you know this is a recipe for disaster! I turned my naturally brown, thick hair into bright blonde bubble-gum mush, and the only solution was to cut it off and start growing from scratch. Diana was so sweet about the whole ordeal, & she reassured my Mom everything was going to be OK. Then Diana gave me the cutest pixie hair cut ever, I couldn't believe how many strangers stopped to compliment my short hair! I have since grown my hair out again, thanks to Diana. I am so happy I found this salon... my fiancé hadn't gotten his hair professionally cut in over three years and I was thrilled to find this place three minutes from our house!! Everybody that works here is so nice and friendly and Alberto is the BEST. I watched him cut somebody else's hair and I knew he was the one to cut my guy's hair we just left and he did an incredible job and my fiancé is thrilled and he left saying I feel so good! I had used the same hairstylist, Zoe Anastasia, for quite a few years for touch up. She did a great job. She screwed up once and fixed it right away. I thought we had a trusting, good working relationship. My daughter wanted to start going there and got an appointment with another lady, who gave her a horrific haircut. Zoe fixed it for her and became her stylist. The other day my daughter went in to lighten her hair and showed her four pictures. When she was done, I went over to the chair, and it looked the same. I was not happy after almost $200 later. We discussed it, and she said come back if you need to. My daughter is very polite and didn't say anything, then cried the whole way home. Her dad saw her and said "I thought you were getting your hair lightened?" My touch up was the next day, so we talked and Zoe told me what the choices were and to ask my daughter what she wanted to do and we made an appt for her. Got home, went over options and she made her choice. So I texted Zoe what she had decided. The next day we received the attached text.I was not asking for a refund, I wanted her hair fixed. I was hurt, shocked and infuriated, but I wrote a nice text back to ask if we could talk, I was so confused. She never replied, just dumped us with no explanation. I then gave her a piece of my mind of course. The salon is strange, always empty. Oh, and Zoe isn't taking new clients, so I'm not trying to ruin her business, just wanted her clients to know what kind of person she is. And unfortunately, when I took my daughter to my old colorist, who is the best but quite further away, he said Zoe had done a terrible job and quoted me what it would cost to actually achieve what our daughter asked for. Showed us color swabs for the base and highlights, none of which she did. She didn't consult with us at all. I trusted her. Obviously, a very sad, frustrating, and expensive experience. read more

She wanted to put color on that was two shades darker and after clearing up the confusion about the color, she refused to do my hair. I drove 30 minutes to the salon, I attempted to resolve the confusion and was told to request a refund. I've spent a ton of time requesting it and driving, all for nothing. New clients beware... I was excited to try a new salon to get my haircut before my upcoming vacation. I booked an appointment with Diana. An hour before the appointment she texts me to reschedule. So, I decide to give her the benefit of the doubt and just reschedule. A few days later, the day of my rescheduled appointment I receive an automated text from their scheduling app that my appointment has been cancelled an hour before going in. It was a complicated name, so sorry. The salon was quiet and I walked in around 12:00 noon. This salon is clean, cute, and well maintained. The price wasn't too bad either. I told her exactly how I wanted it, showed her a picture and I am so amazed with the results!! Seriously the best haircut and color I've had in a while. She has a great eye with color, I mentioned how I don't want a certain color or look and she knew exactly what to do. The whole experience was great, shampoo was relaxing, I didn't feel like I was being rushed. Owner/management of this salon is awful and their standards for stylists is very low. Word of warning, don't let Connie near your hair period. She didn't listen to what I asked for at all and gave me chunky highlights several shades lighter than the picture I showed her, ruined my pants by dripping bleach on them, and despite repeated phonecalls who over owns this salon wont't make the situation right. I was told that the owners just "rent the chairs" and aren't responsible for the stylists. Based on my experience clearly they are willing to rent them to literally anyone. I had to go to a different salon and pay to have both the cut and color fixed. I've had better experiences from beauty school students at a third of what I was charged. It's ridiculous. Editing to respond to the managers comments: Yes, Connie did not charge me for the awful color job she did, that is true, and frankly is the bare minimum of what I would expect in this situation. I still paid her for the cut and style, which I had no idea looked like a weedwhacker was taken to my hair because she never showed me the back and I was too flustered to ask. It had to be pointed out to me days later. (And yes, I have actually had good experiences with beauty students cutting my hair and paid much less than what I paid Connie. You don't know me or where I went so you frankly can't say that is untrue.) You say I didn't reach out to Connie directly, well I had no way of doing that as she did not give me her number. And the salon website lists the salon's main number only, there's no way to contact a stylist directly. In speaking to the receptionist the next day and also messaging with her, I was told that Salon Plum's way of making this right was that I could come in and make an appointment with another stylist, at full cost to me. Keep in mind Connie also did not offer to reimburse me for the pants she ruined with bleach, I'd had a horrible experience here and now after the fact saw that I really should not have been charged for the haircut that had been botched. I wasn't given the opportunity to speak with a manager or owner directly, and did not have any confidence that I would be treated well or receive good service from anyone else there by this point. Especially given that after the initial brief back and forth with receptionist, who was very nice I just want to say, the ball was dropped and no one followed up to answer my questions or requests to be contacted. I tried calling the salon multiple times and messaging again, with no response. So yes, at that point I went somewhere else, since I was going to have to pay to have it fixed anyways, I did not want to give any more of my money to Salon Plum. Connie herself and the receptionist both said that she has had previous incidents of messing up a clients color that then needed to be smoothed over. That is mainly what motivated me to post this review, because this is an ongoing problem with Connie and she just did not seem to have the confidence you would expect from a stylist with 20+ years experience. And I did not want anyone else to go through what I did, since Salon Plum continues to rent a chair to her and advertise her as an experienced stylist despite this ongoing issue. So you can paint me in a bad light all you want, but I did try to work with your salon and was repeatedly ignored. If you had taken the time and put half the effort into speaking with me directly that you put into this lengthy response 3 weeks after the fact, I likely would have come back and seen another stylist at your salon and would not have posted anything negative. read more
