The cost was over $100 to get my hair butchered, and I felt obligated to tip, despite feeling uncomfortable and dissatisfied. In retrospect, obviously I should not have. I followed up right away via email, sent photos, and tried to communicate. The salon owner, Rachelle, responded a couple of times, I responded back with times that worked for me to come in for her to fix it, and then she just stopped responding completely. Mistakes happen, but how a business handles them matters. The lack of urgency, accountability, or a clear solution made a frustrating experience worse. I'm still out the money and now have to pay another salon to fix it. The attached picture is from immediately after my appointment.
