The manager is messaged and I leave without a resolution, every time. I have reached out following multiple visits and have not received a single response. This is not a one-time miscommunication. This is a repeated pattern of collecting monthly membership fees while consistently failing to honor what those fees cover. I have full documentation of every charge, every visit, and every unanswered follow-up. I would like this resolved.

I arrived within the grace period for my appointment after fighting through all the construction traffic near the salon and was told by Liz/Lis at the front desk that I would not be accommodated, it was Friday what did I expect, and that she couldn't do anything about it. I offered a wash and rough dry. No. I offered a wash and get as far as you can on a straight blowout in 30 minutes. No.I asked for a reschedule. Nope. I asked to wait. Probably not - she would only work me in if she had a full on cancel (never mind the multiple stylists that were sitting in the back when I got there). I was told dry style (which my hair was not ready for) was the only option and because I didn't want that I needed to move aside and I was wasting her time. At that point it was clear that waiting and dry style were no longer options for me. The eye-rolling from the front desk was the cherry on top. Cancelled my membership after four years and going to start booking at a local salon instead.

I have to say that Shay is a life saver. Its takes considerable time,energy and money to find an excellent stylist. Shay is worth your time, energy and money. She is a visionary and that is what I look for in a stylist. Someone who can see what I can't. Especially when it comes to my hair and how to get it to where I want it to be. I can be a bit stubborn when it comes to my hair because of past experiences with other hairdressers but I have learned that I can trust Shay. She has yet to steer me wrong. The reason I'm writing this review is because I am so IN LOVE with the results of my natural hair. I never thought I would be able to achieve this look on my own hair without a relaxer. This business deserves more than 5 stars! I have been in Dallas for 2 years and I have yet to find an actual natural hairstylist. I had 2 of the worst experiences before I met Shay. She came highly recommended by one of my friends. Her work was phenomenal, and long lasting. My hair is very thick. I have been natural since 2012, but I prefer to wear blowout styles due to my busy schedule. Shay and her hair tech worked together professionally. He shampooed, conditioned and treated my hair. She trimmed my ends and gave me a blow out. The environment in the shop was positive and upbeat. After she was done, she gave recommendations on how to treat my hair in between shop visits. I'm trying a smoothing treatment on my next visit. Thank you Shay and Brandon for getting my hair together. I love it! read more

I honestly can't imagine anyone else experimenting with my hair since my first encounter with Shay. You will never meet someone as transparent, genuine hearted AND SKILLED as her in this profession. I have been in Dallas all my life and I've had numerous beauticians and hairstylist but nothing like Shay. Both my mother and I absolutely love her to pieces. It's not just another beauty shop. It's literally like being at a sexy lounge with great music and conversation and still walk away feeling glamorous. She's everything and then some but most of all she cares about the healthiness of your hair. I had the BEST experience with Shay! I moved from St. Louis to Dallas 3yrs ago and had been on the hunt for a natural stylist to take care of my hair and I've finally found her! I went in for a silk press and she was super knowledgeable about what specifically was going on with my hair and what I can do outside of the salon to continue growth and overall healthiness of my hair. Two weeks later when I washed my hair my curls reverted back and were bouncier than before. She is super sweet and personable, I felt as though I was talking with a close friend as she did my hair. I booked Shay after and a long night with a bottle of wine and some scissors. So you can imagine my panic, when I booked and appointment Tuesday morning. After booking online, I received a call and was able to explain my predicament and Shay was able to not only figure out what I needed but also confirm an appointment as early as Saturday morning. Points for customer care! The service was amazing she was thorough and explained everything she was doing to my hair and why. Very few stylist take the time to do this. Listen, if you want to find the best stylist in Dallas, STOP looking. You've found her! Shay is incredible. Unlike other salons, your visit is completely personal and in and out. She's punctual and actually cares about your time. She is extremely professional, knowledgeable and has whatever the equivalent is to a green thumb but for hair. She not only caters to each client individually but you leave with an understanding of what YOUR hair needs in-between visits. I found Shay four years ago via positive reviews on yelp and instagram. I am natural and very particular of who I will let touch my hair. With my first sew in Shay grew my hair about 8 inches!!! I've been getting sew ins for years and never had growth like that before. My hair is now a little past bra strap length. Shay makes sure your natural hair is taken care of no matter what style you get. Shay has straightened my hair, done sew ins and made a colored wig for me.
