They are terrible about starting Appts on time. I have booked for 7:15am slot. They asked me to switch to 7:00am. I agreed, but reminded them i had booked for that slot and no one shows on time. They promised they would be there on time. I show up at 7:00am and the hair stylist is not there. I sit until 7:18 and still no stylist and no estimate of when they will arrive. I have to leave because I was headed to an early meeting. Terrible customer service. read more

Made an appt here the Wednesday before Thanksgiving because I didn't want to drag all my hair supplies to Dallas. And the professionals always do it better than myself anyway! I'm totally blacking on the name of my lovely stylist, but she's only been working at this salon for 2 weeks. However, she worked at Drybar before Blo and was quite skilled with the blowdryer. I was in and out in 30 minutes with a perfect blowout that I"m still enjoying days later. I make it to Dallas once or twice a year and love that this is walking distance from where I stay. I have been to other locations, but this one really blows but not in a good way! :0 She did 2 Goldie locks curls and I said I don't think that will work as it is too flat( against my head) She said it would fluff out - it did not! It looked llike I was wearing a hat all day and curls sticking out I said do not use hair spray...as spraying "just a little hair spray!" I went home and washed my hair - I just can't stand it! total wast of money! I was not offered a drink, but my friend got one while I was being shampooed. WE mention 2 times my lack of drink - i was offered nothing. Also NO wifi - I even SHOWED THE HOST how I had entered the password - looks good! - did not connect. PASS on this location read more

I stopped in to get my hair done for New Year's Eve. I made an appointment and showed up on time. The lady who does reception ended up washing my hair. It did not feel like that was something she normally did because it barely felt like she was scrubbing my scout and had to stop a few times. They said my stylist was running behind, which was OK since they were able to get me washed, but after meeting a Sylas, I was actually happy. I did not have to endure him for a long time. His attitude was atrocious. I understood he was tired and complained of pain from working all day, but having that attitude in front of Client is just unprofessional, and in my line of work, I have had to come in many days not feeling like dealing with anyone, but not one client would know that. the Sylas hardly said anything to me unless they had to and then arrogantly expected a tip. I still gave them one even though my opinion they did not deserve it. All I knew was they were in a rush to get me out and did not offer to use hairspray to hold my curls which led to my hair falling out within minutes of him doing it. I definitely will be going to Drybar or finding another location with hairstylist that actually want to work. It's a shame because it's not like he did not do a good job but after yanking on my hair and acting as if it was my fault they had to work while styling my hair, all I could do was sit and not cause a scene because I did not want to match that energy. read more

I wish there negative stars i could give this place. THE ABSOLUTE WORST. Terrible outcome my hair went flat within the hour. When i contacted the owner she offered to have my hair redone but by then it was too late. I specifically asked the stylist if my hair would last 2 hours and she assured me it would. I left the salon at 2pm and got to my shoot an hour later and my hair fallen flat. I asked for the "red carpet" off their menu. The hair style showed curls and volume. As you can see from the pic that's not what i got. I got my hair done for my save the date shoot and I was extremely upset at how my hair turned out. I wish i had never gone. I requested a refund as I literally had to redo my own hair on sight. However the owner stopped responding and did not fulfill my request. I would never recommend or return to this salon. read more

If I could give a ZERO I would, the only reason I am giving a one star is the lady at the front was very nice. My first and last visit here!!! The "stylist" that "greeted" me spun me around in the chair, asked me what I wanted done while he stared up at the ceiling, obviously annoyed at my presence, then asked me what curls I wanted, I told him, and he practically rolled his eyes- just was very uninterested in doing hair. I got up and told him never mind and that he seemed uninterested- he shrugged and shoulders and turned and walked off and said whatever.... AWFUL ATTITUDE- I felt like I was an inconvenience to him, I am in customer service and would NEVER treat anyone as I was treated!!!!! read more

AWFUL!!!! Spent over 2.5 hours trying to get a basic pony tail with a few waves and asked for minimal makeup for our rehearsal dinner. It took forever and they did not listen or follow the pictures used. I was told minimal makeup would be used and the eyeshadows would be in the brown/gold family. I left not recognizing myself and had red and black eyeshadow CAKED on. When my friends saw me after I got my makeup done they panicked and wiped ALL of it off. I will not go back. read more

The price and the talent are hands down the best I have found! I book Tanton every time. He is a perfectionist and cares about what you want and always checks if you require a change before walking out. I'm satisfied every time and only wish I could afford to use him everyday! You barely said 5 words to me. It was the most uncomfortable blow out of my life. When you applied hairspray on my hair and I asked you not to, you reacted as if I had no right to question you. I stopped in as a walk-in client during their soft opening on December 7 and had such a great experience! They were able to do my hair immediately. Elena took my (admittedly vague input) and turned it into a loose curl hairstyle that would hold up to the cold, rainy, windy weather for my holiday party that night. The owner, Rameela (I think that's how it's spelled!), was working the front desk, and was super attentive. Everyone I saw/interacted with did an amazing job of checking in with me, from the stylist asking my preferred water temperature for shampooing and preferred tools for styling, to the temperature of the bottled water. read more

This business might as well admit that they do not want to service customers with kinky (textured hair) I was needing a silk press at the last minute and someone suggested blo for a blow out. I called and spoke with a woman about my hair texture and she advised the time slot is 1 hour 15 minutes and someone should be able to get me out on that time but if they couldn't, they would have to stop. Honestly, I think this practice is borderline discriminatory. Because my hair texture requires more detail, I may possibly leave the shop without completion?! Against better judgement, I booked the appointment. I even asked the person on the phone what I could do to cut back on time. I was advised to come with wet hair as this may help decrease time. I agreed and even left work early to make my appointment early. I arrive and the young man seems unprepared to handle my hair. He checks the roster as if I lied about my appointment time. He immediately asks "how long does it usually take to do your hair?" I replied I don't count time as I've never been given a time limit. My hair is wet and curly. He then tells me it takes about 2 hours to complete textured hair. I tell him I already informed someone on the phone of my hair texture and He says he can't control yesterday's phone conversation. He says he can probably only wash and blow dry my hair. He washes my hair and doesn't even blow dry it at a satisfactory level. It takes almost an hour for him to blow dry my hair and it's still kinky. As a company,please do better. read more
