This review is called, Trust your instincts! The vibe of this place was weird. I should have walked out as soon as I walked in. I walked into the salon after making a last minute appointment, which they gladly took a young lady by the name of Alina (or whatever) called me back And got me right in. When I walked into the salon, I was greeted by the owner, a very dry hello and have a seat. I tried to engage about the Brazilian Blow Out treatment since that's what they seem to specialize in and the response wasn't one that was encouraging for me to come back for the service. Instead I received several looks from the owner.. (extremely weird) Alina, my stylist asked me how do I normally wear my hair I said a silk press... well she washed and blew my hair and took off the cap as if my services were completed., I explained that I had a meeting to get to..... hence the last min appointment, I explained again when I sat in her chair.. somehow she translated that to a wash and go with no flat iron.. when I asked why would I not want my hair curled or flat ironed she became very combative and played the victim as if I did something to her. The owner never stepped in... she just allowed me To be yelled at by her employee and leave as an unsatisfied customer. I should have kept my appointment at the blow dry bar. This place sucks, the energy is horrible.. Good luck.. and stay comfortable in you space. You never know who people are and how that could be a blessing to you! Trust yourself read more

I was ready for a change, wanting to bring my long hair that I was sitting on up to neck-length, and change color from a dark red to copper. I called the salon and spoke with the owner, Nikki, who said they'd be happy to help with the cut, but needed a consultation before coloring and wouldn't do that on the first appointment. I actually found that to be comforting and agreed, making an appointment same day. She set me up with Amyani (hope I spelled that correctly) and it was a match made in heaven, literally. I have a TON of hair, textured, and she really, truly took her time with it, even cancelling her plans to give me an amazing cut. The salon closed at 6p, but it took a total of 4.5 hours to really perfect the cut (which I was prepared for going on, I've never had a quality haircut in less time) and she stayed past closing to finish layering and styling. She also suggested I donate my hair, which I never thought of and thought that was a wonderful gesture. The conversation was amazing, the quality of the cut is perfection, the color consultation was comforting, and I loved the atmosphere of the place. Humble, but still quaint, everyone was extremely friendly and helpful, and very encouraging to their stylists. And she was not afraid to ask questions to be sure as she was cutting, which I found to be very comforting, and it only made her do better to be really sure. I love this salon. It's a gem because not only is my hairstylist talented, everyone else here is too. Everyone I've ever seen walk out of the salon either has perfect hair or perfect nails. The salon is extremely well-kept and the stylists use only the top products for hair. They all have flexible skills, but they do have their specialties. Shannon is my stylist and does great with my natural hair. She gives me sew-ins a few times a year, and they are flawless every time. She keeps my natural hair healthy, too. I trust her. You gotta trust your hairstylist. I also love that she makes sure to always have her Square on her, so I can pay with my card. Back in the day, ladies always had to make sure they had cash to get their hairs done. If you're looking for a new hairstylist, I'd suggest walking in Salon Simply Beautiful and looking around for a bit, I bet you'll find your future stylist in a flash. read more

I love this salon. Nikki is the best. She worked with me in transitioning out of my relaxer. OMG, it was painless and the best thing I could have ever done for me hair. I started the process about 3 years ago and my hair was just below my shoulders. Well as of today, March 25, 2022, my hair is just below my mid back and healthier than ever. I also just got my nails dove for the first time with Latrice. I love her too. Good service all the way around. Top notch place!!! read more

This hair salon is walking distant to my house. Which is amazing because I sometimes just come up here to chat. Nikki owner/hairstylist is so different than other stylist. She is a true artist with hair being her canvas. I have been a client for almost 2 years. Worth the money and time. Then there is trece who can't help but slay nails daily. The people at this salon are friendly and professional. They offer a wide range of services, blow outs, cuts, nails, etc, and are prepared to work on clients of any age. Their work and approach to working with children and teenagers while we were there for haircuts was great, including talking to them about caring for their hairstyle. Our hair care extraordinaire is done by Shannon, who is sweet, funny, and fast with her work. The others we saw working seemed to do well, too. read more

I have been coming to this salon to be serviced from the nail tech that they have in the spa for the past 4 to 5 mths. The first two times I was serviced from the nail tech (Latrice) it was extremely noticeable how unbalanced her energy was with me. I thought it was because I was a new client to her, but that wasn't the case. Fast forward to today the 29th of August. I had to get a nail repaired because of the way she lays her acrylic. So under the nail is leftover acrylic that wasn't filed away correctly. Now I called her 2days after she did my nails to tell her about the snagging of the nails on my clothes and when I try washing my hair. She then told me that she was with a client and that she would call me back. Never received a call back. The very next day my index finger nail broke so I called her immediately and told her that the nail had broke. She was with a client again and told me that she would call me back. When she called back she scheduled me for Thursday at 1pm. I arrived she fixed my nail with an attitude. Once she completed, her cheap unprofessional ass tells me that the repair of the nail was free but she needed to speak with me outside. She then tells me that due to the way my nails grow that she feels like she's not the nail tech for me. Now my problem with her was the manor in which she chose to handle me and how she tried changing things and made it seem like because the shape of my nails is the reason why her work is how it is and why my nails turn out the way they do. Bullshit! This is a prime example of why black businesses don't have longevity!!! I am a black woman. I thought I was excited about supporting a black nail Tech. She is full of shit with her cheap nickel and dimeing ass. I wouldn't let her do my damn dog's nails! read more

My experience at Salon Simply Beautiful has always been exceptional. Especially for someone like me who ALWAYS has hair emergencies, the stylist are always able to fit me in without a super advanced notice, and they also accept walk-ins. They do an excellent job with hair coloring and highlights as well! I plan on getting mine done again soon! Moreover, the salon is very clean and the decor is inviting.
