First time getting a facial after 2-3 years and I'm glad I did! I booked an appointment with Melrose for a 30 minute facial and it was great. She walked me through the whole process as well as gave me a breakdown of what was going on with my skin. She also gave me product recommendations that they sell, but was in no way trying to convince me to buy it which was great. I felt very comfortable and at ease during the whole appointment as well as left feeling like this really helped me understand my skin. I did go back the day after to purchase her recommendations and can't wait to see how it works! Definitely going to be returning after my experience. read more

I went here today for the first time because I received a gift certificate as a graduation gift. I had the hot stone therapy, a facial, eyebrow wax and perafin hand treatment by Jamie. She was absolutely amazing, it was such a relaxing experience and I seriously cannot wait to come back to see her again!! This was the best experience I could have asked for and I would definitely recommend her!! I also had a pedicure by Tiffany which was also wonderful!! It is a non-chemical, straightening/smoothing system for curly, frizzy, unruly hair problems. The product works great and saves a lot of time blow drying. My daughter came her last minute for Makeup and Amanda did a Beautiful Job well blended makeup and the colors she used were gorgeous on her eyes My daughter loved how nice she was and how she asked her opinion throughout the entire time. Just as I sat and waited for her during her appointment the staff were all so nice and friendly. Melrose is the owner and she was very nice and as I sat and watched as she did makeup on a young girl that came with tears from an unfortunate makeup mess at another salon Melrose sat her down and went right to work, the young lady left smiling ear to ear feeling beautiful! Six weeks ago I reviewed this salon, which I had visited for the first time. Now, after my 2nd visit, I am even more thrilled with Donna. My hair grew out beautifully (I had been scalped by a poor stylist before Donna rescued me in January). I did not need a cut this time, only color. Donna put lowlights and highlights into my hair, and renewed my base color. I have not been this happy with my hair in many years. I feel so good about the way my hair looks and this, in turn, gives me so much more self confidence. Donna can't be beat in my opinion. Others in the salon are also wonderful. Brittany, whom I had met only once before, recalled that I dislike lying back in the shampoo bowl for very long, and came up with a way to minimize that backward extension time. Donna did an outstanding job creating an elegant, era-styled updo for my wedding. The style held all day even with the veil being put in several times for photos. At the end of the evening I looked as polished as the start of my big day. I can't recommend Donna enough! She is pleasant, kind and a hair artist with incredible skill. I love this salon! I started coming here years ago when a friend worked here and I loved the setup and ambiance! My friend then moved to a different salon, so I followed her, but after a couple years decided I didn't want to make that drive anymore so I returned to Salon Tranquility because I used to love my hair appointments here. Now, it is even better than before! They have a nice and quiet (AND sectioned off!) shampoo room which gives a relaxing yet classy vibe. There's also a nice little waiting area with couches and magazines which gives you a welcoming homey feel. All of the girls are very professional, very friendly and make sure to say hi as they pass by and also ask if you'd like a drink if you don't already have one. I get my hair done by Brittany Davis and she does an amazing job!! I never know exactly what I want done, usually a mix of blonde, brown, sometimes a little red and she helps me figure out what will look good and is very knowledgable (tells me why my crazy hair ideas might not look good, which I GREATLY appreciate!) and she makes sure it looks fantastic. Plus the price is great! I think the prices are dependent on each stylist, but Brittany's are very reasonable. I love the whole atmosphere in this salon. I know they also do waxing, massage and nails though I've never taken advantage of these offers. Bottom line: if you want a salon that is very modern and trendy (without breaking the bank!) yet welcoming and relaxing, this is it! read more

The salon is beautiful. . The products sold are great... but when I went to get my hair cut my impression of the salon slowly unraveled. I went with my friend 3 weeks ago and she got a drastic hair cut so when I showed up she was hoping to chop all my hair off too. Once I told her I wanted some layers her mood quickly changed. I have long hair and I love it but it's thinned out so I wanted layers. She gave me light layers because she said my hair was to thin and to long. . Ok.. she cut my bangs and I love them. Then she barely blow dried it with a flat brush. She didn't even attempt to style it at all. It was still damp underneath. She didn't hand me a mirror to try and see what she did.. didn't curl my hair.. nothing! She undid the cape and said ok that's 40$.. I like an idiot tipped her 15$ and even said I know it's a boring cut but I love it but she didn't seem to care. She hardly spoke to me so I guess she doesn't want me to be a repeat customer. If you want to keep your long hair.. don't go here! 40$ for a so so haircut and then to half ass blow dry is a joke read more
