Sal's my friend... your gas station and service center are my car's personal life saver! As sad as I was to get a flat tire on my drive home, I couldn't have got it in a better spot! So I guess every cloud really does have a silver lining, eh? I was driving home one morning last month (Oct) when I could hear the distinctive 'thumping' of a flat tire coming from the back of my car. I quickly pulled into a gas station where I could see the "Air" on display. I parked, paid my 75 cents, then went to work airing up the tire. Fingers crossed! I pulled the hose from the tire once it was adequate, and it just sank right back down to the ground. Unfortunatly, the place I was at was only a gas station. So I popped the truck and was getting ready for some manual labor, when a very nice guy (who will later be known as Richard) asked me if everything was okay. I looked towards him and he was standing on the other side of a knee high fence, which separated my current gas station from Sal's (also a gas station + service station). I let him know the situation, and asked if they could help me out. He said all I had to do was get from one lot to the other. I aired up my tire again, hoping the short drive wouldn't cause any further damage, and popped into Sal's lot. Richard introduced himself to me at this point. Richard jump to action with a quick jack and an air wrench. Popping my tire off like I was at Daytona and was behind a lap trying to catch up. Soon as the tire off we both knew it was over, the back of the tire was on the verge of being shredded in a perfect circle (thanks rims!). No repair possible. I threw my gloves back in the trunk and walked inside office they have, and worked with another gentleman (who sadly I can't remember the name). He gave me a few options on what we could do. Then called a few places nearby for replacement prices. I was even more impressed when Richard came in and said I was all set, the spare was on the car and had plenty of air so I was good to go. All for no charge. With that said, and what I considered a fair price for the new tire and service required I left them the rim for the new tire and took off with a promise for a call the next day. As promise, the next morning I got a call, everything was ready. I showed up, Richard walked out to greet me with a handshake and asked if I could leave the trunk open for him. I walked in, paid, and by the time I got back out my spare was back in the trunk and covered up, and the new tire was installed on my car. He was literally just now taking the jack down to lower the car. All was very impressive! They are a full service gas station too, which I love for those slightly later/colder nights. And they have FREE air for your tires! How many places even TRY to do that anymore? This place was great, they guys working there were super friendly and helpful, and from what I paid before for tires, I thought the price was more than reasonable (and actually less for a GREAT tire!). If you're in the area and need a fill up for your gas or tires, or even a vehicle inspection done, I would HIGHLY recommend this location and crew. They did a great job!! Rented a Budget truck from these guys for work. This is a review of that service, I can't speak to the repair shop. In short, they overcharged me a day and refused to deal with it. I got a refund from the national line but without an invoice I can't submit expenses to my employer. In detail: The rental process was smooth and relaxed until I came back to return it. The guy who handles the truck (Jason) wasn't there but a man in the shop said to leave the keys for him and it would all be taken care of. Felt good about the process, but it didn't work out so well. I had the truck from 10:30 to about 4, one day. So it says on my reservation. When I got the charge on my card it was way too high. I asked them to fax me an invoice on Friday which never arrived. I called Tuesday and finally got a fax, but it was unreadable garbage. I called and spoke to Sal himself who took my number and said he'd look into it and call me right back. Never heard from him, of course. I called the national customer service line and they said Sal's claimed I returned it two days later at 8AM. Now, I understand paperwork mistakes, but they took no responsibility for it. They knew when I was supposed to be back with the truck and the keys were sitting on their register well before closing time the same day. I let them know about the problem but they don't let life get em down, I guess. I'm probably still out money because of their mistake, since my employer won't take an inaccurate invoice. read more

Sals is under new ownership. The owner john is a stand up guy and did amazing work. I brought my jeep to him for a couple different issues and he not only fixed those issues he made other adjustments at no added cost. I was so happy with his service and honesty I brought it back to have a lift put in along with new tires (which he was able to get cheaper than anywhere else). I was with a friend in the area when he had car trouble. We searched yelp and found Sal's to be the closest place so we went there. I only wish I had a small business like this in my area to go to. Sal and his guys went over the top in customer service. I thought I had stepped back in time to the days when customers came first and were treated like family. Just moved to the area and my check engine light came on. Sal's was the closest automotive service so I went there! They fixed my problem for me and for very cheap! My roommate also took her car there for an oil change/tire rotation and they ended up not charging for the tire rotation bc they took longer than their estimate. Only downside to this place is it seems like everything takes a while to get done, so you might not want to take your car there unless you can spare a whole day without a car!
