I recently put a 5 star review with this place because at first they were great. I have a bit of an older car and they were really helpful on the first repair, but then when I was talking about fixing other stuff on the car they became very dismissive and patronizing and told me "it's an old car, it's gonna make noises" which is true to a point but the problems i was looking to get fixed are safety related and affect how the car operates and they're still brushing me off and now won't reply at all. These people act nice but the level of laziness and incompetence here is astronomical. Do yourself a favor and take the car somewhere THATS NOT HERE and that actually cares about your car AND your opinion. STAY AWAY! read more

Been going to Doc auto for years, recommended by my sister, but the last couple of times I went was an awful experience including my car getting hit the last time which left scrapes and a dent in my rear quarter. The prior time was terrible service from making the appointment to the leaving with the same issue they were supposed to fix. My sister just had a nightmare with them doing her brakes. So I've been coming here for an oil changes since Groupon introduced me to them. Never had any issues and even when I dropped in I could still wait and get an oil change. But today is my first time here since Joe stopped working the back desk and I'm here for my 12pm appointment for an oil change. I've been waiting 66 minutes now and would have probably had to wait longer if I hadn't complained. They didn't even know my car was pulled in waiting to have it's oil changed. I brought my car here because someone I knew said they "heard" dr auto provides good services in the area. I needed a new axel, it was very expensive, cost me over $1200. Just to find out the cracked the housing while installing the new axel, and tried to "mickey mouse" it by temporary welding it. My car broke down in the middle of the highway, at 5am!! I contacted Dr Auto, and brought the car in. Mind you, this is within a 2 month span. Brought the car in, and they tried to charge me another $1800.00! For what? something that they could've fixed the first time around! I picked up my car a week later, as soon as I opened the car door, it was a MESS! My emergency brakes were stuck, wires were left hanging from under the drivers side. 2 freaking cigarette butt was on the passenger seat! I don't even smoke!!!! They gave a detailed report of my vehicle with pictures of everything suggesting what work needed to be done. Nothing is ever pushed on to you unlike many other auto repair shops. Came here through a groupon to get coolant changed. I am thoroughly impressed! The thing that blew my mind was their courtesy check. They had an app where they sent pictures of various areas in the car and a description of their courtesy checks and status/condition of the area (all mine passed since my car was newer). I can tell the owner takes pride in his work and shop and thoroughly instills that through the training of his team. Great work! Will be back again for other work as needed. read more

Dropped my car off three days prior. Was told it would be done. When I went there, they could not care less. So dismissive as if I was bothering them! They said they didn't even look thoroughly , but could give me an estimate. I asked them if they checked certain things. The answer was "I think so!" They send me to a man that works the desk that IS NOT a mechanic and he gave me an estimate of over $1000! Well, I got it done for $50 elsewhere ! They went downhill!! read more

Doctor Auto is a great place to bring your car for service. Joe does an amazing job, he really takes the time to explain to you what's wrong w/ your vehicle and gives you options on what you can do to fix it. What really stuck out to me is unlike other small repair shops, these guys embrace technology! You get a comprehensive vehicle report that is texted to you with pictures of your vehicle, not a stock photo, along with recommendations to keep your car running smoothly. They also threw in a 3 year warranty on my repairs which was great peace of mind. Not sure if this is a standard Doctor Auto thing or if it was based on the work I had done, but most shops don't even mention any of that stuff. I am super disappointed ! I have taken my car to Joe and the others for years and always thought they were fair. I took my car there and it was there for two days and when I went in to ask when they thought it could be done, they said they checked some things out (btw, very miserable and barely listening to me), but didn't have time to do it. I was promised it would be done. They printed out an estimate of what was going to be done( mind you , they admittedly barely had time to look) and said it would most definitely be with over $1000! They didn't even look into any of the other things I asked. Not major things! I took it somewhere else and guess what? It cost me $95!!!! I saved $905!!!! I will never go there again! Was in the Lowell area and needed an oil change. Looked up on Groupon and found them with awesome ratings and a good discount. Ended up getting an oil change, tire rotation, and tire balance all for a hundred dollars. The guy was very straight forward, and it took them about an hour and half to do the job. I would recommend it. Reason why I'm giving them 4/5 because they didn't reset my oil change percentage. It may be a small thing but it's the small details that count that keep me coming back for more. Overall I got a great price for the service and I was satisfied with it. read more
