If you're one of those people who obsesses about having the correct air pressure in their tires,…read morelook no further. Sal's is the ne plus ultra of gas station air hoses. I've met people from as far away as Brookline who make the trip to Billerica once a month just to use this magnificent air hose. It's not unusual to see a line of cars patiently waiting their turn for it. At most gas stations, the air hose is an afterthought. Often you have to hunt around for a greasy, tangled mess thrown negligently against the wall out back. Some places have the audacity to charge you 75 cents or even $1 for two short minutes of their precious air. Not so at Sal's. Its air hose is a clean, neatly coiled affair that's proudly located right up in front of the office. The chrome paddle trigger of the Amflo AMF150 Tire Inflator is smooth as silk, and the solid brass bar on its built-in air gauge calibrates in 2 PSI increments, allowing you to fill your tires with a precision you'd never dreamed possible. Want 32 pounds in the front and 34 pounds in the rear? No problem, Sal's air hose can do it in style, and do it for free. (Be sure to get there during business hours: Sal's disconnects the hose when closing as a theft prevention measure.)

Why are you reading a review for a Cumberland Farms? You friggin' weirdo. You've most likely been…read moreto one, and you've probably noticed they are all the same. If you think I'm going to say there is a secret dungeon in this one, you would be wrong. DEAD wrong....muhahahhhahahaa. But seriously, there is no dungeon. This is your typical Cumbies. It used to be the cheapest way to buy milk, with the spare change I earned as a British corner newspaper boy. Now it's the cheapest place to buy a large coffee instead. Let me get you right to the meat of what makes this place different/ the same from other Cumbies. You have your classic Cumbies coffee counter area. Depending what time of day you hit it, either it's as clean and shiny as a privileged rich baby's bottom, or as dirty as a ...poor persons...baby's bottom. You really never know what you're going to get. It depends if the staff is in a mopping mood, or a rippin' cig butts out by the dumpster mood. The staff here is great though, very kind, and quick, and will actually talk to you. The downside is there is no cell signal. And maybe most of the time this won't matter to anyone unless you're trying to use a cumbi's deal/coup that you have to open on your phone. (Yes I do the freebies all the time because I'm on their sms deal list.) Other than that they have a ...gas station. And a discount for their special members. Which I signed up for. And never received confirmation that I'm a member. Now go read a review of something interesting, like a NASA base, or a strip club.

This has to be the most friendly Cumberland Farms on the planet! Everyone here is always so nice…read morewhen you walk in. Always smiling and asking if you need help. ALWAYS say good morning. AND..the best part is the place is immaculate! They are constantly cleaning this place! Who knew a 5 star gas station!

Not physically up to pumping gas myself that hazy Thursday afternoon, I made my way to Wrights around a long Gorham St. detour (made longer, I'm sure, by the low fuel light). Upon arrival I was greeted with such kindness, pumping my own gas again is now out of the question. The whole transaction was lovely, and put me at ease for the remainder of my trek home. Worth it to me to drive across town for great service.

I had my furnace fail last night on Christmas Day. My husband and I did everything that we could to…read morediligently restart our furnace only for it to not work. The weather outside was below freezing, so not only were we without heat, there was real concern that our pipes might freeze. We called the on-call mechanic who was very rude from the start. He complained non-stop about not having had a call all day, and having to come out at 10pm on Christmas night. He said "Are you sure this can't wait until morning?!" Nobody gets how having to work holidays sucks more than a healthcare worker. I personally just came off of a 36 hour shift. It's the profession that I chose, so it would be inappropriate for me to take my sentiments of frustration out on someone needing my help during their time of need. Anyway, he did begrudgingly arrive at my house. He was extremely rude to my husband who was nothing but calm and patient with him. He yelled profanities while fixing our oil line such that my young child heard him. After being loyal customers, I have never received such horrible customer service before from this company. I would very much like the owner to reach out to me and reassure me that this behavior from their technicians is unacceptable; therefore, won't be a normal occurrence during emergency calls.
