    Veggie spinach lasagna!!
    Sneha P.

This Sal's is located in Brownsvurg in a strip mall with other shops close by. We have been to their Plainfield restaurant multiple times and their food tastes amazingly delicious in both the locations. Their service is great. The ambiance was good and the place was average noisy. They have dine in and carry out options. They have some vegetarian options too. Although, when we asked for vegetarian Calzone without mushrooms, they said it is prepared ahead and mushrooms go with it. That was a bummer. But the pizza and lasagna we ordered were tasty and the portion was just perfect. This is a must visit place. They have a big parking lot in this mall and is a family friendly and business casual restaurant. Also, I am unaware if all the restaurants do this but if paid with cash, the prize is different and when paid with card the prize is $2 more. I am assuming this is for the credit card fees that they have to incur. But I could be wrong.

    This is all that's left.

Just moved to the area and happened to discover Sal's. Ordered a simple 16" cheese wood fired pizza and some cheesecake through doordash. I would probably post a pic but I ate the whole damn thing. Cooked perfectly. Not over cheesed. Just simple & delicious. Planning on bringing the crew in for dinner next week. Sal's is my new place for pizza and probably cheesecake too.

Authentic tasting fettuccine Alfredo! With some warm fresh bread , Yumm

Really wanted some authentic Italian! One of my favs for a date night as well and saw this little gem on Yelp and wanted to go try it with a friend! When we arrived the place seemed quaint and the atmosphere was bustling. We got sat quickly despite some slight confusion from the host stand. The staff was friendly. I ordered fettuccine Alfredo entree with a house salad and house Italian dressing. The warm bread & oil dip to start was really good too, we said yes when they offered more. My friend got the spinach lasagna entree with a Cesar salad. The only downfall was that our booth still seemed dirty with crumbs everywhere and a menu left in the seat. Overall a neat little spot for some good authentic Italian food. The food tasted great and the staff was really nice which is the reason for my rating.

Although they do not have a dedicated vegan menu, they do have some very tasty vegan options. The marinara sauce is delicious.

Love the food. Pricey but delish. Worth visiting as dine in or carry out. Pasta and pizza are worth it.

Tables too crowded. Not very clean. Maybe just a busy weekend evening. Food was very salty.

I ordered online and then downloaded an ap called slice (which I have now removed). The restaurant uses an Uber service. My pizzas never arrived. I paid around $54 which I am told will be refunded to me within 24-48 hours. I gave a 20% tip in advance. So I call the restaurant and am told for some reason the driver cancelled my order, though the pizzas were made and picked up. So the driver apparently has my pizzas AND my money. Also, when speaking to the manager of the restaurant, he tells me they will make my pizzas again and deliver themselves. I am talking on the phone with him, and he literally says he cannot take my order, that I have to order online. SERIOUSLY? So no accommodation for me the customer, given what happened. He should have taken my order and it should have been free. I am still SMH! I'll be watching my account to see IF my money is returned. If not, I will be pursuing this. My husband is a lawyer.

They were pretty good. One of my dining partners ordered the lasagna with 1/2 marinara and 1/2 Alfredo. They said it was a bit dry, but otherwise pretty good. The other had the chicken parmigiana sub. They said it was good, chicken was juicy. I opted for the meatball sub. The meatballs were pretty good but the bread was the star of the show. Crispy yet soft and a bit chewy. Just excellent bread that made the sub outstanding. We all then shared a tiramisu dessert. I liked this quite a bit primarily because it did not have any real coffee taste to it, but my dining partners didn't like it as much for that same reason. Easy parking. Order at the counter, food brought out, self service drinks, etc. It's not a fancy place, but good food. I'd go back.

Every meal seems a little lacking and leaves you wanting a little bit more but the atmosphere and staff are nice which helps to balance the disappointment. We ordered the bruschetta as our appetizer, it was enjoyable but more olive forward than we were expecting. I ordered the arugula salad which did say it had spinach in it. However, it was a mainly spinach salad. I opted to add chicken to it and ask our waitress if the chicken was seasoned and worth the ad and she assured me that it was. Unfortunately it was not seasoned and it was very bland reminding me of the pre-packaged chicken pockets you can buy at Costco. Had I known I wouldn't have added it as it did not add anything to the salad. My friend really wanted the brussel sprout salad and apparently they did not have brussel sprouts so it was only romaine salad so she opted for a pasta dish instead. We appreciated our waitress giving us the heads up and confirming that she still wanted the salad with the changes that would be made to it. We ended the evening by sharing a tiramisu for her birthday along with an espresso martini. The dessert options were nice, but the espresso martini wasn't traditional; it was more Baileys-forward than expected. Overall, it's a decent restaurant for a casual meal but it hasn't offered anything that would make us eager to return or crave another visit.
