Wife and I both had Cajun Chicken Alfredo. We had to pay prior to receiving the food and after tip and tax, $54. The dish was bland and really didn't notice any Cajun. Service was nothing to brag about at all. Took our money and never asked how the food was nor checked if we needed anything. read more

Pros: Customer service seemed fine over the phone. The pizza looked & smelled like it had a lot of potential! Don't get me wrong, it wasn't terr'ble...just not NY style pizza if that's what you have your mouth set on. Cons: The sauce was sweet & I'm not sure what kinda cheese they used, but it wasn't stringy like a traditional NY style pizza. It was also flatter than usual, which I guess ain't too bad if you're watching your carb intake. Also, I guess they can't help who hangs out in their parking lot but I pulled up to an old school pick up truck with a huge confederate flag posted in the back & equally huge middle finger window decal. Er body hushed when I got out & it didn't help that the guy at the counter watched me walk out. I was the only one in the restaurant besides him & strangely enough on the block besides the pick up truck folks. Very eerie & definitely gave sundown town vibes. Yesterday 4 of us met for lunch and, as I stated in last review, I wanted to try the stuffed meat pizza. Thankfully all agreed to order a large one and the indispensable garlic knots. It was absolutely delicious! It was covered with a very thin browned crust so there was not too much bread. We ended up taking 3 slices home with a couple of garlic knots. For 4 the bill was $44 with unlimited sodas. I see why that stuffed pizza is a favorite at Sal's. Next time, as a garlic lover, if company allows, I want extra garlic in the stuffed pizza. (not sure if it had garlic due to the knots). That will kick it up to the stratosphere for me. Highly recommended! read more

As someone from NJ, I'm picky about pizza. Especially pizza that claims to be NY style. Don't sleep on this place, they're legit. Pizza is really good for GA (I'd say slightly above average for NJ/NY), I also really like their calzones. Service is good. Ambiance is kinda a hole in the wall, which is not a bad thing. It just wasn't very good. I hate to give a low rating to a local restaurant but I need to speak the truth. The menu has potential but the ingredients themselves were lacking and I'm not sure what that pizza dough was but it was like eating a giant communion wafer. It was hard and like cardboard. The sauce was flavorless, almost like it came out of a jar. We had the lasagna pizza because it sounded cool. It was a regret. We also ordered the cheese bread but half of it was burnt. I was trying to order through Uber Eats and the promotions and options were not working correctly. I called the store, and the man who answered was extremely helpful. He took my order with the proper options and told me to put the order through on Uber Eats and he would match it up and make sure I got what I wanted. Received our order and everything was perfect! Update: I'm not sure what's happen lately. As Gayeong said, Sal's doesn't seem to be open any more. I've come by twice during normal business hours, and the place is closed. They have a big "Now Hiring" sign in the window, so either they can't get enough workers to be open or they've closed permanently. I guess call before you go. I'm afraid I'm probably done with Sal's for a while. --Old Review-- I went here on the recommendation of two different friends; not bad at all. I met a friend here for lunch at 11:00; in spite of their hours, they didn't have the door unlocked until 11:15 or so. The lady who opened it was very apologetic and said they'd have trouble getting a worker in, but they were operating now. Some of the tables still had some crumbs on them. Put it this way: I'd not be very comfortable bringing small children or germophobes for dine-in. That about covers the bad. Otherwise, this place was fantastic, and is definitely worth trying out. Food: delicious. My antipasto salad was well-made, with fresh veggies and well-wrapped meats and cheeses. The lunch special is a great deal; the pizza slices were huge! Delicious food. Their pizza is their best dish (at least, the best that I have tried so far). The chicken parmigiana sub is a close second. Pass on the fries; they're just crinkle-cut fries baked in the oven. You can get as much at home. Service: excellent. Our server, Jennifer, checked on us numerous times, even after we finished and paid the bill; she kept refilling our drinks we chatted. She brought me an extra salad dressing with no charge. She was courteous throughout our visit. The bathroom is a unisex single-seater, but it was clean. The dining room is essentially a big open rectangle with booths on each side and a long set of tables in the middle; I'll try to post a picture. There is one TV in one corner. Not a lot in the way of decoration. They also have two outside tables on Main Street. I noticed they have GrubHub deliver and YelpEats. The temperature in the restaurant was comfortable; not too cool, but nor did I get warm. They don't have air conditioning, but they have multiple ceiling fans. On hot days, it can get a little toasty in there. Also something to be aware of if you're a hot-natured person (or something to look forward to if you're a cold-natured person!). It was a good lunch.
