Don't let the rating fool you, i imagine that had to been because of the to go orders not being as fresh but me and my buddy went here to try it for the first time and we had it FRESH. We got the stuffed chicken parm and you could tell it was authentic. It was PHENOMENAL. We also got the cannolis and omg... it was so rich and creamy and fresh. It's perfect for families with kids and hanging out to grab a pizza. The pizza is good and we love going in to eat or taking it home. We also like their wings and salads. It's also one of the only restaurants open late near the square. It's nothing fancy, but sure is tasty. There are booths that line both sides of the restaurant and a giant table with chairs in the middle. They have a TV on and usually the wait staff is young, but willing, with a good attitude. Just ask for what you need and they will accommodate. Some have complained that their opening hours vary, just call ahead of time and you'll be just fine. That's the beauty of small businesses, you close when you need to. All in all this is the best pizza joint in our area and I would encourage everyone to give it a try and support your local businesses. The first time to Sal's went without incident... good pizza and good service. The second visit.... the food was good, but the service sucked monkey testicles. Perhaps the waitress had dropped acid, shape-shifted from another dimension... or.... hmm.... maybe Sam Beckett had Quantum Leaped into the young waitress... was still trying to figure out WTF was going on, what wrong needed to be made right... and disappointed that he hadn't leaped home. A more likely explanation- the waitress' parents had told her she had to get a job to get a car. Specifics.... The waitress never refilled our drinks. A cook, who happened to be in the restaurant eating, intervened. He seemed to expect all that happened. I think our order was not sent to the kitchen when taken. Two tables who came after us received their orders... prompting me to ask about ours. It was simple.... and came a while later. We weren't given silverware. I got it myself. The cook and a girl on the phone saw me get it and never said a word. Minor issues- We weren't offered parmesan cheese. The drinks were botched. The bill was delivered, payment taken, and change given without a word being spoken. read more

The food was.....well just okay. I got the chicken Alfredo and a pepperoni and sausage pizza. The Alfredo was watery and flavorless. I wanted really bad to go back and teach them how to make Alfredo. The pizza was good but nothing like a pizzeria should be producing. The sausage looked like chopped up hotdog. We usually order home delivery from Sal's. I have tried their pizza (usually Supreme) salads, pasta (especially Lasagna my favorite) and several other items on their menu. Everything we have ever eaten from Sal's has been delicious. So I hope they stay open for a long time. "You GO Sal's and don't listen to the downtrodders". This place is ridiculous, two times we have ordered delivery & been extremely disappointed. I placed an order at 8pm, at 9:15 I called for a status and the guy told me it was on the way. At 9:45 I called back twice, and the phone rang and rang and was never answered. My friend called from another number & it was immediately answered. When he asked what the status was Sam told us it was on the way again but was unable to tell us any details about the order. I only live 4.2 miles away, I cannot make this up. I have already paid for this order and I am now being avoided at 10 minutes until they close. The same thing happened the first time, we ordered and after about an hour called to check the status and was told it was on the way. It was delivered an hour after that and was incorrect. When we called to tell them, they did not offer to give us a refund, replacement or anything else. I tried to give them a chance because honestly the food isn't bad, but do not order delivery from this place ever. I cannot believe this is the way they run their business. read more

Sal's is AMAZING!!!!!!!! If you are looking for fast, delicious, kind service... GO HERE. I cannot give a better review. I brought in a group of 25 (out of town kids' soccer tournament) last minute and they accommodated us SO well. They were nice, attentive, and they got EVERY order right. They were even able to serve other customers while we were scattered all throughout the shop. Not to mention everyone was finished in ONE HOUR!!!!!!!!!!! Get the garlic knots! And extra sauce on your pizza unless you like super cheesy (which people usually do haha I'm the minority in that) read more

After reading reviews I decided to take a chance and order a pizza and some wings for delivery. The estimated time was for one hour but I received everything within 40 minutes. I ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza and lemon pepper wings crispy. Let's talk about these wings first. My God they were good. Crispy just like a like them and had a lot of lemon pepper seasoning on it. I will definitely order wings again. For the pizza I was expecting ground sausage not smoked sausage which is my fault for not checking in advance. Other than that the pizza was good. Next time I'll try different toppings. Came to try this place out for a week night out. Great food and great service. Freshly made foods took a little longer but worth it. Stopped for lunch and had spaghetti with meatball for my son and a small pizza with pepperoni, sausage and extra cheese. The crust was delicious with just enough chew and crisp. Always hits the spot! The staff was super friendly and the place wasn't too busy considering some filming was going on outside. My family has been eating here for a few years now and have never had a bad experience. We tried this place out in 2016 and enjoyed the pizza (sausage, green peppers and onion) and garlic knots, and the delivery was quick. I ordered the same thing recently for delivery and after 2.5 hours and two phones of them saying the driver will be there in 15 minutes, I finally told them to forget the order and credit my card back. They did so without a fight, and then the pizza showed up 10 minutes later almost 3 hours after placing the initial order. The pizza was obviously cold, as were the garlic knots, and they used Polish sausage rather than Italian sausage! Neither of us could finish our slices, it was horrible! I love this place don't get me wrong, but the last order me and my mother placed came out completely different than how its normally cooked.. we normally just get the manicotti and it just wasn't as how we normally expect it. We called back and told them what was going on and they were nice enough to send us another batch of our order, but still wasn't the same.. We had a supreme pizza and a Greek salad. We both were very pleased with the food and the service. The marinara sauce that went with the garlic knots was especially good. The crust of the pizza was a little sweet which I found not so good, However, it was only noticeable when you ate the pizza bones, when covered with the pizza toppings it worked fine. read more

We couldn't put our finger on it, but the sauce had something a bit off in it that didn't suit anyone in our house. I don't know what these other people are talking about! We went there and had around an extra ten minute wait, but the chef gave us free garlic knots and a free 2 liter fanta for this wait! Worth it to me. Also the food is delicious! Some of the best chicken parmesan i've had! Its also a lot of food for a reasonable price.
